Politics / Re: Ganduje: Kano Doesn’t Need ‘Shege Ka Fasa’ by Edcure1: 9:07pm On Feb 07, 2020
Sammy07:

Kano is more developed than Bayelsa and Delta.
I just don't know what's wrong with our southern governors....

Yet, Kano is bigger than the two states.
Imagine, Bayelsa with 8local government
I'm not holding a breaf for any southern governor, but you need to know that Kano has a whopping 44 LGAs -- all receiving federal allocations while (as you rightly said) Bayelsa has just 8.

Imagine the level of development and poverty alleviation if all the SS states have 44 LGAs each, having direct Fed allocations.
What these northern states don't get in derivation, they get in multiples through the imbalanced LGA system and rigged population estimates formula.

So relax and stop supporting this weak argument which the north always use. Nigeria was created to develop the north since 1914. That is why they will never allow it to be administered through merit and equality.

This is a very contentious topic that may (deservedly) burgeon into a huge debate beyond NL and with unintended consequences.

The Fulani authorities will be out to muscle the administrators of this forum to see to the death of this thread in 5.4.3.2...

This thread will soon disappear.

Hausa lead in Business, which business exactly!

I read a post on the Datatas, and I noticed an intentional disturtion of facts. That the danatatas are Hausa's. No, they are not. They are Fulani's.

The Fulani's don't just rule, they control businesses too. Name any thriving business up north, it is owned by Fulani.

Dangote is not hausa, he is Fulani.

The conquest of the Hausa's is not just in their lands, but in the mind too. The average Hausa is dumb, dumb in the sense of not having a mind of their own.

I also know the OP, knows more than he claims and uses a different moniker to fuel this discuss.

There are few Hausa's that are getting liberated, but this few are extremely bitter, but their religion wouldn't let them fight back.

Time, time. The Hausa's will eventually get sense. Give it time, time settles all scores

With reference to the bolded: obviously the growth and spread of Shai movement is a means of breaking up from Islamic religious dogma which is the major tool of their Fulani subjugators.
The dots are beginning to connect. One slow step at a time.

It baffles me how a very large ethnic group as the Hausas will continue without any form of resistance under subjugation by a Fulani minority. Religion is indeed the opium of the masses.

This is one of the most interesting thread that I have seen in nairaland in recent years.

Now help me understand how dis doesn't contradict both d govt and U lots? If d sector has improved like U ppl claim, why Dis?
Power can only be said to have improved if it reaches the consumer, and this is only possible by effective distribution. Electricity supply will only get worse where there is failed and fraudulent DISCOs.

Politics / Re: Edo Assembly Crisis: Drama As Obaseki Pays Oshiomhole Surprise Visit (video/pix) by Edcure1: 8:18am On Aug 13, 2019
Cantonese:

How? Do not forget that the same Oshiomole fought Tony Anenih until his death. He told us that godfatherism had come to an end in Edo state. At the death of Anenih, Oshiomole said the battles were only political. At a time Oshiomole told us that he had a father-son relationship with Anenih.
He who lives by the sword dies by the sword. It is also said that what goes around comes around. Who plays the role of APC godfather in Edo state? Oshiomole. Who's political children are now battling him? Oshiomole. If not for the governors who made him the APC chairman last year Oshiomole would have become politically irrelevant. With which currency did he pay some of them back? The currency of brutality.
If the governor has disrespected him, let him bear it. He did it to others ahead of him and it is all politics.
Your comment is over-sentimental. No reason, no logic.

He doesn't have to go through that process. Not required.

He just have to appear before the Senate for confirmation (as every other Ministerial nominee), then he'll resign from the House after appointment.

U.S. Senators and Congressmen vacate their seats if they are lucky enough to be elevated as ministers.

Nwadiuto247:

So the best candidate your so called s/s could produce is a mace thief?? Out of the whole s/s senators?? Big shame on you.
Now let me clear your foolishness.
South east has fifteen senators. out of the fifteen, two did not come because of their issues with INEC. If you deduct the two from the fifteen the remaining number of South east senators was 13. Then out of the thirteen two are APC members and 1 is YPP. I mean Ifeanyi Uba.
This brings south east senators present to 10. EKweremadu scored 37 votes. Deduct the ten south east senators present from the 37 senators that voted for him and you have 27 senators from other region.
Now your little mind told you that it was only south east senators that voted for him. Shame on your shallow mind.
Your analysis is puerile and hollow. Nobody (including the guy you quoted) is saying that only SE voted against him. He was saying that Ekweremadu should have respected the SE/SS solidarity (if there was any), instead of trying to play the spoiler.
