Pipsbasketing:This your basket trading system is really tempting, comparing ur entries with mine, i could have entered same trade with my system instead of letting those pips waste. It seems am really going to try this out on another account. |
Possible EURCAD BUY I don't like d pair that much but it's worth a shot. ![]() Trade at ur own risk ![]()

N.B the above is just for information purposes only and an excerpt of what I consider to enter my trades. I use other tools like EMA, Heiken Ashi candles and Trendline. Now for those itching to buy GBPJPY, With my analysis I will only buy if price does some thing like the chart below using the previous support and resistance trading method. From Daily chart, Price is approaching a support area, To buy this pair and for confirmation of the support holding or not. I will switch to the next lower tf and look for change of trend formation, price forming HH and HL on H4
|
Now price decided to fall and give a 1:1 RR before shutting up to break the resistance taking out stop losses. It might look like a good trade giving 1:1 RR on daily chart but it's actually bad on daily chart and sometimes. It doesn't even give the 1:1 RR before breaking a resistance and creating a fake break out or trend continuation. How I enter same trade on H4. Now, to enter the trade when price is testing the resistance area on daily chart, i usually switch to the next lower time frame ( which is H4 in this case), I'll wait for price to break the previous lows and form "higher high/ higher low" which is the "Confirmation" that the resistance area is going to hold and then pull the trigger On the H4 chart below, price creates hh hl and I enterd d trade at the break of that aqua colored TL, Price gives a 1:1 RR which is no better but less risky than the daily chart Taking the second trade: Here, Daily chart s/r trader would av been burnt on the fake break out but "Waiting for confirmation of the trade by switching to the next lower tf" on H4 Chart, the fake break out would av bn avoided. There is a later better entry with nice RR of just 55 pips where the Daily Support and Resistance Trader would be licking their wounds on the fake break out now .. From chart below, the first chart is the H4 chart with the first entry b4 the fake out and second entry after the vertical red line 2nd Chart is the Daily chart
|
How I Trade Support and Resistance. N.B: This is for swing, Trend and Day Traders. No scalping The first chart is the daily chart "Recent EURUSD Chart", as u can see, price is retesting resistance and I'm looking to sell, what I don't know is if it is going to hold or break. Daily chart traders would have taken the trade based on the indecision candle with stop loss of 100 pips or there about
|
I might post some charts on how I trade "support and resisistance" or how I pick "tops and bottoms". (My own Method) Stay Tuned |
mrikay:Thanks Boss. Happy pipping |
I tell you bro, news maybe bitchy* and at times, it's a blessing. As much as I hate watching the news calender, I still can't help checking for some news at early times if my entry. I respect Day traders and scalpers in that aspect, I've not being really able to get around scalping and I don' t want to anyway. currentprice: |
Picking Tops and Bottoms is a fast way to burn your account especially when you don't know how to do it. It's just like support and resistance trading where traders just take trades hoping a particular S/R will hold without any confirmation of taking the trade. Scenario 1: "You see a strong Resistance with nice 3 touches and you thought, wow, this res. is going to hold and price is going to move down, it looks like the best trade of the year only for price to spike and take ur stop loss and then continue in your said direction". What went wrong with the " scenario 1" above? Lack of Good entry strategy, Traders not waiting for confirmation of the said resistance holding before taking a trade Scenario 2- Price hitting a nice strong resistance like the scenario 1 above.. This time, market decides to move down to your predicted direction like 80 pips below your entry and then "puff", price shot up, took ur stop loss and continue moving up breaking ur so-called strong resistance. - What went wrong with Scenario 2? Lack of confirmation before taking the trade. These Two Scenarios do happen to most Traders over and over again and they still continue to make same mistakes because they want to get into trade early. Trying to pick 'Tops and Bottoms" If you are a forex trader and you still find yourself trading like this, then it's time to find a solution to ur ENTRY STRATEGY" Peace |
wow, what can I say, a nice 2- paged read doesn't hurt . |
GBPJPY Traders.OK, let me chip in my own analysis. I'm only interested in buying if price closes above 135.100, if not, bears still rules ![]() |

@bluepearls, u r making the very first mistake Fx traders do make. Don't think about how much u r going to make on a daily, weekly basis. But, how much u can protect your capital.... In Fx, u only know ur risk not returns. Do ur due diligence, and returns will come in due time.... Having Daily, Weekly targets put more pressure on you especially when it is not reasonable, You can however have monthly targets but that shouldn't be a cause for trading, not every day, week, month will be the same, just always ensure u " break even at least every month" Peace |
fxbomovi:Yep |
