Based on my Experience renewing my passport in March 2022 in the UK, I decided to do few post to help others. I saw some people going back and forth and people being stressed due to few requirements. So I decided to give a step by step ... All images are below...
1. Visit http://www.nigeriahc.org.uk/
2. Click on "immigration" on the menu and then click "Requirement for E-Passport" . Choose " Re-issue of standard passport" if you want to renew your passport. Choose "First issue of passport" If this is your first time applying for a Nigerian passport. And the rest of the 2 options are self explanatory. http://www.nigeriahc.org.uk/fees-processing-online
3. Click on your desired option and read through all the requirements and at the bottom there will be a link to click for the application form https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/.
4. Scroll down and click on your option and you will be directed to this website https://www.innovate1services.com/nis?appVars=cGFzc3BvcnQjIyNHQiMjIzYx . On this website, it gives 3 options to login using either Google, yahoo, OpenID . The great thing about this login is, you can login using the innovate1services website to make payment at anytime even if you don't have money straight away, and you can always correct any details before finally submitting it. For me I used my google login, which made it very easy to get assess to my application(s). You can up to 6 or more application forms in one login , that way you can pay for it all together. Which is perfect for family.
5. Fill the forms, and enter your NIN on the form if you have it , if don't have it leave it empty and complete your form. BUT IT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT YOU GET YOUR NIN ,ELSE YOUR PASSPORT WILL NOT BE PRINTED. 6. Once you have filled your form, then go ahead to make payment. IMPORTANT NOTE; MAKE SURE WHEN FILLING BANK CARD DETAILS , YOU PUT ONE OF APPLICANT NAME AS THE BANK CARD OWNER IF NOT , IT WILL BE REJECTED. So basically use your own or one of the other applicants card if more than one for the payment.
7. Once you are done, Please don't close the page. You need to print out the Application form, Aknowlegdement slip, Payment Slip . Check the images below you will see A SCREENSHOT that has Order details, on the right there are "actions" , you need to print out these 3 actions for each applicant. If you don't have a printer at home, click print and choose the option of save as pdf. Take all these files to the internet cafe / local library and print them all out. They are required to be printed out. You also need a copy of your NIN .
8. Now click on this link https://appointments.immigration.gov.ng/ , enter you application id and reference number , then choose a suitable date for you. TIP; YOU FILL IN YOUR FORM AND SUMBIT IT TO GENERATE application id and reference number EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY AT THE TIME YOU ARE SUBMITTING IT. Then you can use the " application id and reference number " generated to book an appointment. You can then pay later via innovate1services, the most important thing is, you need to pay before you go for your appointment and printout everything on step 7, very important.

Something similar happened to someone I know.
1. Do the Affidavit (though it may not be needed)
2. Send an email to UKVI on the issue stating that you will prefer to rectify the issue in the UK as you already have a flight ticket. Wait for their confirmation, print out the mails (Sent and Received) and you are good to go.

People have answered you already on this thread and everywhere else you have posted. It is not your fault.. fault is from them and can be corrected when you get to the UK.. you are not the 1st person. I dnt know what you want to hear again sir

I don't want to go to the airport and not allowed to fly.. I wish I can be assured I can fly from naija without issues..

You're in a very tight situation but you will be fine. What I will do: I will write to my school/employer informing them of the challenge and what I intend to do, also write to UKVI and tell them the reason why I don't wanna rectify it in Nigeria. Then, go ahead and travel with it that way and hope no one spots the little error of one letter. This is an audacious journey so I gotta be bold and know my rights. I didn't make the error and it is obviously my name, just a wrong letter, then I pray the plan works.

Someone passport has been with ikeja 6 weeks and still counting..this is terrible, I don't know why ECO would make such a grievance mistake..too bad!

As long as you claim to have a valid uk visa.
They would check and refer to it whenever you visit any other country.
So, it's better op rectify the issue before it gets complicated.

The time frame is my issue..

I checked on ukvi website and I was told I can rectify it within 3months of my arrival if I discover there's an error on my vignette..

But then if I discovered it before coming to the UK, I should rectify here.. tike frame to fix it is my issue here.

If you enter the UK, you don't need the vignette for anything again.

I thought at POE they will match the vignette data with my passport data?

What if they see the error in my Surname? Won't it raise a redflag??

You said passport at the OP. But the same applies IMHO. Where there’s an option to have it corrected before use, you’re better off in the long term making the corrections immediately.

Someone returned and passport has been held back since June..
Is there an alternative to this?

I have already bought my tickets for Sept..this error made by ukvk is so sad for me.

Passport with misspelt name is not your passport. Go and correct it before you get into deeper complications that’d require unnecessary explanations and cast doubt on your applications.

It's not my passport..my vignette has the issue.. my name was wrongly spelt on it

Clear cache and cookies as well as history frequently.
I pray you find a price that looks close to the one you paid so even if you dnt get the ticket in time, you can have a spare booking at hand.
Keep trying the phone nos I sent as well.
Send the email so that it is recorded tht u sent to them.

Call the airline at 8am tomorrow morning. Make sure you are persistent and don't drop the call till you get a favourable response. Be ready to stay on the line for a while so ensure you have enough airtime on your phone.

Next time, please go to the airline's office and pay for your ticket while you are in their office. You get your ticket almost immediatley without issues - that's what I do. Otherwise, buy through a travel agent.

I think Qatar Lagos has limited services during the weekend.
You will basically be getting through to the Qatar out of hours persons who are in Qatar and cnt help with local payment via bank transfer.

You have to do all 3 during the weekend and if no response hopefully your booking has not expired by 9am to 10am on Monday when they resume fully.
Just keep chasing them up.
If the GTB account is this one here, then yes they have the money. They just need to get the information that you have paid to issue ticket before booking expires.
If you have someone in Lagos, let them try going to their office also sharp 9am tomorrow.

1. Who gave you the bank account number to pay to?
2. Do you have the payment receipt from your bank app?
3. Did you mention the payment and shared the receipt with the customer service agent for Qatar?

If you've not done 2 and 3 ....do that and or contact your bank for reversal. I think you can also do that from your Internet Bank or mobile app. If the customer agent confirms the bank account number is correct then it might be usual NIP transfer delay issues.

I've done all three.. the account was from their website. Nigeria gtb account with details..

I included my booking reference and phone number too.

Good morning Seniors in the house. Please I have an urgent issue as regards to flight.

I've never used Qatar airways before, I just registered on their site and I booked a ticket on hold on Saturday morning from the website. Then I tried to pay using my ban card which was declined.

Later I found a Nigeria bank account I can pay to(GTB precisely) using my bank app. Up till this moment, I've not gotten my tickets, I contacted the customer service, they said they couldn't find my money and ive been debited. I tried to send a mail, it only respond working days.

I'm confused right now, my booking expires tomorrow. What will happen when it expires? Please who's an agent here that can help me sort this issue

To answer your question, I would say that can suffice as it is still learning. But those certificates should have dates on them aligning to the gaps

It’s mostly for visiting visa and not student visa but you can use your CAC certificate as a proof of work if you have above 5years of study gap
