It's very possible to distribute appointment letters without interviews. Find out from many of the recently employed individuals in the new Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru, Kebbi state.

Justice102:
If anything doesn't happen from now till June, then, guys should forget about this Recruitment and wait for another recruitment cycle.

Also, anyone hoping that APL will be distributed to shortlisted candidates without interview, is just dreaming.

Don't just come online calling someone a liar. For your information salaries are dropping now through first bank and what NAAT members are getting is half salaries.

NYSC / Re: Do Military Men Go For NYSC? by eddieo(m): 9:18am On Apr 07, 2022
ADIXYOUNG:
I would be answering two questions here. Firstly, the issue of "Do Military personnels go for NYSC?" The answer is "NO". Because you are already serving your father's land from the day you're enlinsted into the force.
Secondly, the issue of NMS, I am presently an EX-Boy of the NMS serving in the NIGERIAN ARMY with the rank of a Lance Corporal. If you're an EX-Boy, automatically you become a soldier, initially it was optional, but now it's Compulsory so far you pass the basic Medical screening tests. This is how its being done, in NMS you train as a boy soldier pending your POP, after POP you'll be enlisted and posted to your unit. After one year of service in your unit, you can apply for study and proceed to any University of your choice be it NDA or a conventional University. And as for me I graduated from University of Abuja, Department of Microbiology and I didn't serve any NYSC instead, I was excempted from service as a military personnel. I hope this explains it better to clear the air. Since I'm an EX-Boy, a soldier and also a graduate.
You have explained it correctly. Though some of my friends resumed immediately to the university in 100 level after getting Study permit from their units in Ikeja Cantonment. I don't think you must wait a year to get study permit for exboys. May be it depends on your unit.
What you outlined is what I wanted @ Pierocash to understand. Having lived in Zaria all through my life and have families, friends and currently have two nephews in JSS3 in NMS, there is nothing I don't know about NMS. Many of my class mates in the university are scattered around different formations around the country. Some are even Masters degree holders but are still soldiers (not officers).
Some people will just come to this space and argue what they don't know. Someone here was even mentioning Airforce and Navy school secondary students are exboys to my surprise.
Though the DHQ during Iherijiriks tenure suspended automatic deployment of exboys s soldiers after POP. My two nephews that are currently in NMS where enrolled after the DHQ lifted the suspension of enlisting Ex-boys are soldiers into the NA. That was the sole reason their dad enlisted them.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: NCDMB 2020 Oil and Gas EH & GT Jobs by eddieo(m): 3:32pm On May 06, 2021
The same NYSC discharge number can also verify Masters certificate too?
ThreeBlackBird:

Verification is easy. With NYSC certificate verification which can be done online, they can tell the school you graduated from and your class of degree but it doesn't just make any sense that they are trying to verify results of candidates who wouldn't be employed.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: NCDMB 2020 Oil and Gas EH & GT Jobs by eddieo(m): 8:54am On May 06, 2021
Wanted to ask the same question too. Degree certificates are usually verified from the Registrar of Institutions. How do they intend to verify for all candidate that have not been employed yet?
May be they are screening for interview shortlisting but not verification.
ThreeBlackBird:
How can they be verifying certificates of thousands of people they might not employ? Or do they know the people they want to employ already?

I don't think you understand what greed is in relation to changing jobs based on experience level. Again, do you understand that as humans, naturally we have insatiable wants/taste? Are you telling me you prefer to remain at the same level in life? Are you telling me you don't feel you are too productive to be at the current level you are hence deserve better?. What are your reasons for applying to NCDMB knowing it's highly competitive when you have an alternative route to look for ministry jobs?
Stop allowing the fact that you've been in the street for long affect your reasoning. Emotion is taking the larger part of you
Do you think if today I'm working in NCDMB and I have a UN offer of an International recruit (Professional) I won't move there despite i can't go past 7 seven years with the UN?
Please change your way thinking. Stop tagging such people as being greedy. It's just career advancement.
nasiest:
Anybody body that wants to leave CBN or NNPC for a higher paying agency is doing that out of greed.
All what you're saying is just english language and motivational quotes.

And yes I'm not a fresh a graduate because I have been in this street fora while now.

After paying a visit to Bayelsa, one would notice how most of the federal roads there are of good quality.

I wonder if those roads were built by the state government or the federal government.

I find this funny. Those who sat for the virtual test were not screened before invited for the test. Even people that were not close to qualification applied. How do you expect those not qualified to be given application letter without documents verified? Expect an Interview. This recruitment was advertised on the Dailies, so an interview will DEFINITELY follow suit.

Those that did documentation.

1. Any could be considered.
2. All can be considered.
3. Non could be considered.
Don't stress yourself with speculations and calculations like it's the Nigerian super eagles struggling to qualify or a football tournament. Like the game of football has evolved, you can't arrive at any certain calculation.
Bomshell84:
Consider this scenario,
let A, B and C be three EH applicants competing for the same position.
A, B and C had 2.1, first class and 2.1 respectively.
A, B and C are from the same state.
Only B has a masters degree but A and C are COREN Registered.
C is a member of both ASME and ASNT.
A has 12yrs experience with 7yrs of it relevant to the job.
B has 7 yrs experience with 4yrs relevant to the job.
C has 6yrs plus experience all relevant to the job.
Question;
1. If all three candidate have very strong connect, who do you think would be considered for the post?
2. If all three candidates have no connect, who is most likely to be considered?
3. If B is the only one with connect, who is likely to be considered?

That you are unfortunate not to be covered by Grace does not mean others will be like you.
Like it or not. People are getting jobs on merit (NNPC inclusive).
If you believe merit doesn't work why did you apply for this job? It would have been better people with your kind of negative mindset didn't apply so that choices will be easily narrowed down to those that are positive. We know people that got into NNPC GT without even knowing a gate man at NNPC. These people cannot even boast of any thing decent let alone buying jobs or having influence. If you don't know any such person then keep your negativity to yourself. Some of us are gainfully employed with the government and can boast to you we got our appointment on MERIT. Stop discouraging people from preparing for interviews while you are busy preparing for interview so you could have an upper hand. In many advertised recruitments, there are sizeable number of applicants who get in on Merit.
Behind the keyboard here, there is someone who does not even have the idea of connect but will get this job on merit.
You can't come here and bully us with your negative mindset. Please, next time find solutions to your problems and stop casting aspersion on people.
Getting this job on merit implies you trust God solely.
Originakalokalo:

From experience,

1. Those shouting merit know nothing about recruitment in Nigeria.

2. It is also possible that those shouting merit are already assured that they will get in through connection. They are trying to paint the process well so that there won't be any uproar when the process finally ends.

3. When the process eventually ends, they will disappear from this thread with the speed of light and never look back....

They will have succeeded in raising your hopes....

What government agencies do now is to shout merit and do otherwise, it is a new trick.

It is now all about image laundry.

Imagine customs, NDLEA.and NNPC talking about merit?

Please don't tell me that you know someone who got into NNPC by merit...

If people can buy jobs and do Thanksgiving in church, "deceiving God", you may be deceived by anyone.

Please be careful with the news of merit, integrity and transparency on the part of Agency leaders....

If people are fighting for Npower as low as it is then you need to trust in God solely.

Trusting in God also means you are ready to accept the outcome even if it doesn't favour you.

A lot of things are wrong with Nigeria and recruitment processes are not exempted....

I personally know three bright fellows that got the NNPC job without any connection. Two are first class graduates. They got in on merit. Merit still works.
Keep hope alive. Many will get this appointment on merit. NCDMB has demonstrated this by trying to keep this recruitment secret from the onset.

I think the September 2021 date is not out of place. If offers are made in June, the normal practise is that every successful candidate will be required to wind up from their old place of work within three months which ends in September or they pay up three months salaries to their agencies (if they wish to quit immediately).

Welcome back bro.
Thanks for the update.

I've been fine all this while. Thank y'all

Happy new month to everyone on this thread. May it be a month full of success and fulfillment in all ramifications including this particular recruitment that brought us together. By God's grace, I wish to see everyone of us here in Nigeria Content Tower, Yenogoa for induction by September, 2021

The recruitment team are working indefatigably to ensure this recruitment process is completed and offer made by June.

We were supposed to have received interview invitation mail by now if not for setback experienced by the concerned teams (HR&IT). Physical interview was suggested initially but has been ruled out and that brought about the idea of online documentation.

Shortlisting has already been concluded and Virtual interview mails would drop once interviewers availability is secured. Interviews would run simultaneously for two weeks between April and May.

I wish everyone luck in the remaining part of this recruitment exercise. Thank you

Once you were sent a mail to upload your document whether first or second batch, it shows you'l were successful in the virtual test.

There is a reason why they told second batch to upload documents, but you can't ignore the successful ones in the first batch and move to the second batch.

I have never seen an FG Agency job that has been advertised, aptitude test written but NO interview conducted. It doesn't work that way to give out APL.
Interview must be done even if its for the sake of formality.
Everyone should prepare for Interview whether physical or virtual.
ennyj01:

I don't know how the selection works, but let us look at it this way.

If by chance there is no interview, will it make sense to pick qualified people from the second batch leaving those who are qualified from the first batch? I guess the answer is NO.

To make it more open and very fair to all, interview will be the best, that way it will separate people from one another and it will be easier choosing successful guys.

As long as there is no interview, they will have to pick people that were qualified from the first batch and then move to second batch and pick those that are qualified also.

I guess reason he said if there is connection, then you can be picked more than the most qualified from the first batch.

1. When invitation for invites will role in and
2. The dates the interview will hold.
Can you help furnish us with this information.
Thank you!
Sanprecious:

Okay sir. Well, logically I did before commenting.

Aside the screenshot attached (which I think you are really ignoring the essence of the message), I did get confirmation from inside long before now on the status of applications with the board. But to give you a clue, the offline verification for the first batch was done in two days.

Here’s my point, what you’re advising people to do has been overtaken by events. Every effort to that effect is null and void. Your actual documents for that process are already moved offline and undergoing verification with NCDMB directly. Anything you’re doing right now is academic in every sense of it.

Thanks for the advice tho.
