To be honest, there's little the government can do here. The workers should learn one or two skills and start living an independent life. A work-intensive job that doesn't rely on the government before they earn. Many of them are suffering today because they relied too much on their state government. They should forget about previous salaries, concentrate on the present and fight for the future. They need some serious work-off to work-on their present predicament. Being a civil servant shouldn't be used as an excuse for laziness. Hardworking pays!!!

What has either party or those in them done for anyone? Rubbish! [b]keep deluding yourself!! mother theresa left the comfort of the world and intermingled with the poor. she had no money but impacted on the world with her "missionaries of charity(over 500 in 100 countries). oyedepo enjoys the best of VANITIES the world has to offer and chose to move with the higher society(hence his preference of private jets to travel).
do you ask yourself what the amount used to buy those jets can impact on the lives of millions of poor christians in nigeria?
the world honours and remembers mother theresa today not because of the number of churches she opened or the siren blarring cars she had,or the gulf streams at her berk and call,or the mansions she lived in! the world honours and remembers her because of the examplary life she lived commanding the respect of world leaders,muslims,buddhist,different christian denominations,jews and even atheist!
she is the conscience that reminds all of us what a true christian,muslim,jew,buddhist,hindu etc should be/do! i can't say this for characters like oyedepo can i?[/b]

its funny how one man can generate so much media frenzy. why can't the media leave this man alone and stop using him as a standard for wayward pastors?? Oyedepo sells books, tapes running into million copies every year. he impacts lives through messages of hope, and get rewarded for it...is that not enough for the man to be rich?? the guy has a private jet...SO? do you know about is traveling itinerary? if he has to be in Togo today and South Africa tomorrow do you expect him to be booking commercial flights every time. if there is no misconduct whatsoever on his part then let the man be left alone. The worshippers giving out thier money never complained of being hypnotised or deceived and a lot are educated and gainfully employed. if the want to follow the biblical instruction of "giving" then let them give, since we all have different beliefs

come to think of it, what made you think that its d poor that made them rich, how much do think a jet is worth and how much is spent on running the place: water light, roads, salaries, food and so on. Do you think its surely the poor that makes ministries rich. On the contrary its the rich and wealthy those who can easily give 10k offering in a single sunday if the poor made them rich calculate the offering at an average of N50 x 130k people in a sine sunday that N6.5m then you would need almost 500weeks to buy a jet not to talk of 4 jets. This is exculsive of running costs and other things. I say this because i have seen the offering baskets of churches made,up of N10 and so on this is not chiding those people but letting you know that God makes men rich and not common man. The rich hardly give except yoi offer them something and for them to give him willingly they see what people outside just sit down and gossip about. Moreoever the days of little beginnings yoi dont know what sacrifices were made to get to where they are. So its seriously opposite and 130k people would not be foolish for 30yrs to follow him its only those jealous that would murmur outside seeing they cannot do what people like him do daily
