tbaba1234: This is Seychelles.. They should be fine. It's too defensive. Etebo should be starting instead of Onazi even if it's a 3-5-2 he's playing. |

forgiveness: Rohr Makes Up His Mind On Starting XI: Awaziem, Omeruo, Onazi Start; Kalu Full Debut; Nwakali On The Bench

Rohr Makes Up His Mind On Starting XI: Awaziem, Omeruo, Onazi Start; Kalu Full Debut; Nwakali On The Bench Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has made up his mind on the eleven players that will take to the Stade Linité (Roche Caïman) turf in Saturday afternoon's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
The German football tactician has made some interesting decisions, one of which is opting to hand new Elche CF signing Francis Uzoho his ninth consecutive start despite his inactivity for his Spanish clubs since the start of the season.
That means Chippa United netminder Daniel Akpeyi has a place on the bench even though he impressed in the Super Eagles training sessions leading up to the game.
Another inactive player, Chidozie Awaziem starts in the right back position, Lokomotiv Moscow's Brian Idowu keeps his place at left-back, while Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo and Leon Balogun start in central defense.
The midfield contains Kelechi Iheanacho and his Leicester City teammate Wilfred Ndidi as well as Eddy Onazi, meaning Arsenal loanee Kelechi Nwakali would make his debut off the bench if he is handed game time.
In-form Changchun Yatai star Odion Ighalo will lead the charge for goals and he'll be supported by Samuel Kalu and Ahmed Musa.
Nigeria Starting XI vs Seychelles : Uzoho, Awaziem, Balogun, Omeruo, Idowu, Onazi, Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Musa, Ighalo, Kalu
https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=29183 Hopefully this isn't true. Playing a pivot of Onazi - Ndidi against Seychelles would be beyond disgraceful. Etebo should be starting. Then again, it looks like a classic 4-4-2 with Nacho and Ighalo as strikers. Rohr needs to behave himself. WC should've been enough to reset his brain |

solonnachi: Why not Onyekuru for Kalu? Rohr isn't going to start both Onyekuru and Musa. Sees both as similar(i.e wide forwards). Kalu will be there to stretch play and put in crosses while Musa makes runs in behind the opposing defence |

With Iwobi and Mikel out, I wouldn't be surprised if Nwakali starts. Knowing conservative Rohr, it wouldn't surprise me if he plays a 4-2-3-1 with Ndidi - Onazi as the pivot and Etebo as a 10. The only thing close to adventurous Rohr will try is Ndidi - Etebo as pivots with Nacho as a 10. Kalu and Musa will play out wide(don't think Rohr will start both Onyekuru and Musa together) with everyone's favorite striker Ighalo as 9. |

fabyom: Uzoho Awazien balog. Omeru
Ndidi
Kalu. Iheanacho. Etebo. Oyekuru
Ighalo. Musa
We have to attack them on all front cos we need to score a lot of goals. Nobody to control the midfield...very risky. |

Farzat: Whether they voiced it out or not, FB will always consider Nigeria a second option. The earlier we learn to respect our players and encourage them when things are not going well the better for their confidence and commitment. Imagine someone comparing Onazi with Billing. What an insult. With the talents we have in this country, all these average FB should go through submitting of application and a process of identifying with Nigeria before they are invited to NT except if d player is in d class of Messi. Yeah because we're Brazil abi?? |

ChrisKels: Una still dey for this yeye debate about KC Nwakali? Lol him no merit the invite but that doesn't mean he aint talented. Dude is hugely talented but hasn't proven himself yet, professionally to merit an invite, that said, I av bn impressed by his performance so far for Porto B, hence I am tipping him to make the step up to their main team, soon. Simple as that. No one is doubting his talent but the likes of Ebere Eze should've also gotten a look in. |

komekn: I knew him when he was 18 playing for Reading U18 when they were in the EPL. He was already 6"4 with legs like tree trunks.
At this stage he was the highest goals scorer in the U18 scoring 3 hat tricks against Chelsea and Arsenal. He was simply unplayable then.
His Mother is Ugandan if I'm right very very well balanced boy and respectful. He even spoke the little Ibo he knew to me.
He was supposed to be called to the U20 he was willing and ready. Then the usual happened. Yeah Reading. Mixing him up with the guy who played at the 2009 WYC |

Omofoma (the sub with white sprayed hair) should be playing in Europe. Such a skillful, tricky winger. I wonder why he didn't start.

Truidstar: I clamoured and campaigned for DESSERS prior to the world cup. Dem say na agent I be. Dressers would have converted 2 out 3 chances Ighalo missed. Now the narration is we should stick with Ighalo as we don't have any striker doing the business currently. DESSERS has not hit the ground running yet this season, but he should get a look in at least. Rohr spoke with him and told him to find a club at the Eredivisie(Just like he did with Musa Mohammed). Rohr is clearly watching him http://dailypost.ng/2017/07/04/rohr-convinced-dump-belgium-super-eagles-dessers/ |

ChrisKels: About Cameroun, it is no false accusation, dont know about Iceland though. Infact it was ur statement about Cameroun against Nigeria that made me start hitting on u subtly then. U were hyping Cameroun to high heavens and belittling Nigeria just because u were lucky to predict their afcon Victory. Remember Ondoa ur hero? he is still a bench warmer even in Belgium I think most people were worried about facing Cameroon after their AFCON win and our loss against SA. Don't remember where he said Cameroon will beat us...just warning how dangerous they were and how people were taking them for granted. |

coluka: At this point, let me pay my respects to a great American patriot Senator John McCain, he lived a great life devoted to the service of the American people. My only regret about his life was that he couldn't prevent that moronic idiot called Obama from becoming president. Though I ignorantly supported Obama in 2008, with the benefit of hind sight, I salute your foresight Sen. McCain, you were right about Obama in 2008, that disgraceful nincompoop wasn't fit for the office of President. RIP Senator John Sidney McCain, the greatest president America never had Well he did defend Obama when a white woman called him an Arab and a muslim. I honestly don't think Obama was as horrible as most of you conservatives made him out to be. Made a few mistakes, but who doesn't?? I feel MAJORITY of naija peeps don't like him because he "waged war on Christianity" like American Evangelicals would say. |

Thanks for showing the world you have an empty brain Because you are dumb. Yes I am losing patience with getting quoted by dumb, emotional clowns that use "patriotism" as cover. safarigirl: So, because of Cameroon home and away, we should continue with mediocrity.
Let us go back and watch Nigeria vs France to defend Onazi, let us go back to the game against Zambia to defend Iheanacho, and Echiejile is not bad, he had a great game against Mali in AFCON 2013.
Let us live in the past to defend a proven failure As long as we play in a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3: ODION IGHALO WILL ALWAYS START AHEAD OF NACHO AS A 9. That is nothing but the truth. Until Nacho learns how to play as a lone striker or you have someone who is better than Ighalo - free the guy. Tell Rohr to change formations or better yet - give us playmakers like De Bruyne and Silva if you want Nacho to start. |

Kog45: Andrew easy today is Sunday there should be no bickering.
Let view things in analytical way.
Ighalo is terrible?let's counter it with football reason
Iheanacho not good enough? let's reply with football input
Iwobi was below average? simple let's reply with facts
Moses not a legend?our proof with football evidences.
No need for insults.
Happy Sunday my man He's a clown. Stop trying to reason with him. Ask him to bring proof that shows I always hate on Iwobi - the idiot will just vanish. Funny how I've become an "Iwobi hater" despite praising his performance last week, arguing about him being underrated SEVERAL times on here and even arguing with someone about an article I posted showing Emery rates him. But this is what blind patriotism does to people. It has gotten to the extent that posting a transfer rumor about Lazio bidding 25m Is me saying Emery would sell him. I'm running out of patience with this type of talk and will start insulting anyone that calls me a "hater" when their mumu "patriotism" kicks in. Fool probably doesn't like Iwobi as much as I do. |
