safarigirl: we obviously don't have a 10, so, we should be playing a formation that favours what we do have. Iwobi can play as a 10 or as a CM in 4-3-3. |

safarigirl: how about Kelechi? Abi he sef no dey form? As a 10?? No. Unless we go with a 4-4-2. We're better off with a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 based on the personnel we have. If we play 4-4-2, it means Ndidi - Onazi will play as CMs. That is not going to work against Libya. |

safarigirl: so is Ighalo.
What form is Etebo in that you would start him in that position? Rohr's starting line-up will be better than this your formation Wanna bet that Musa will start? Also who should replace Etebo? Onazi?? I'm not a fan of playing with two destroyers. Musa IS on form. He has played well for us in his last few games. |

Still no Eze...Rohr no go get sense now. Didn't even bother replacing injured Joel Obi. From the list, I'd like us to line up with Uzoho - Idowu, Leon Balogun, Troost Ekong, Aina - Ndidi, Etebo, Iwobi - Musa (he's in great form), Success and Moses Simon. However, we all know Rohr...Ighalo and Onazi will definitely start even if you threatened him at gun point. Onyekuru - Ighalo - Kalu Musa - Success - Moses Simon Kalu - Success - Moses Simon So many combinations to choose from for our front 3. Rohr better not Bleep things up. Even if you want to question the quality of our current players - one thing you can't deny is we have the right balance. It's up to Rohr to stop with his destroyer fetish and be bold! |

This guy is a fool if he thinks there are "many players" other than cr7 and messi better than Neymar. Neymar is a world class player. Better than Hazard, Bale, Modric, who ever you want to name. I'm surprised people have the nerve to even dare put him and Hazard in the same sentence. Hazard fanboys must be gassed with this small bronze medal he got at WC and making Fifa XI. PR or not - Neymar has been better than anything England has produced since I was born...not even Gascoigne was as talented. |

The flopped at the finals against france. That French team had Le Tallic and the guy that played for liverpool |

Icon4s: At least from that 09 set we still have Omeruo, Onazi, Kayode and Ajagun still balling. There was selective MRI for that 09 set. Did you see the 93 and 2001 sets? Too young though I can vividly remember my uncle cursing out Karimu Shuaibu for being useless despite being at least 25. I think that was the set that had the guy who used two different names for the tournament...he played in Bulgaria and had a few caps with the national team...can't remember his name |

Age and performance should be separated. But na age we dey talk about egbon. That set was crazy hence why Westerhof said what he did, but the 09 set rivals them imo. We should be thanking God for MRI. |

Joebie: Rohr Reveals The Name Of One Striker He's Planning To Recall For AFCON Qualifier Vs Libya Published: September 16, 2018
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is planning to recall in-form Mainz frontman Anthony Ujah for next month's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations double-header against Libya.
The former Bayern Munich defender has been forced to sit up and take notice after the Mainz number 20 scored in his second consecutive game playing as a substitute on Saturday.
For three years now, Ujah has been in the international wilderness, with his last cap earned in the goalless draw with Tanzania in an AFCON qualifier on September 5, 2015.
His lack of game time at Mainz was the main reason he was not invited to the Nigeria squad for the 2018 World Cup despite a chance meeting with Gernot Rohr at the airport in Frankfurt.
Speaking as a consultant on the Bundesliga on Europe 1, Rohr stated :''We are scouting him, we could remember him for the next games''.
Ujah was a member of the Super Eagles squad at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup and started the 6-1 rout of Tahiti.
Ifeanyi Emmanuel
—ANS Don't forget Dessers. Looks like Rohr wants a physical striker upfront instead. Paul Onachu should've gotten an invite by now |
