Anyway,I'm not expecting the tournament to be that fun like the last two... Some fans might want to stay away from Russia due to their reputation of hooliganism and racism If English fans like make dem no behave. It'll be a bloodbath |

tbaba1234: This is the likely lineup for Tuesday. This is the line-up for their final training...Uzoho is likely to start again..
Uzoho -
Ebuehi, Balogun, Troost-Ekong, Idowu -
Onazi, Ndidi, Joel Obi -
Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi,
Ahmed Musa
cc: Gbosaa I heard Ezenwa was better than Uzoho at the training drills. Maybe he'll play a half. |

Mickael2: CBs are not meant to be drawn out except maybe during counter attacks. But when you are defending full time there is absolutely no reason for you to be there, what if you push out and they cross the ball creating an overload? CBs cover for fullbacks occasionally. The DM can slot in and form a 3 while both full backs bomb forward. |

..........................Ezenwa
Ebuehi....... Ekong...... Awaziem...... Aina
................Agbo............Onazi.............
Iwobi..................Joel Obi............. Victor Moses

Subs: Omeruo, Ajayi, Simon Moses. Am I the only one who prefers Agbo at CB?? Saw him play there twice at Granada and he looked decent. Although he can be a little too "over enthusiastic". Would like to see him play alongside Balogun |

forgiveness: What makes you and those clamouring for Kelechi Nwakali who is in the second division of Eredivise different from Komekn who is clamouring for players in the Championship?
Is Eredivise 2nd division better than the Championship or the Belgium pro league where Onyekuru dey shine?
If I call Abdul Ajagun, some people go say I be Omoluabi blah blah and some go say their belle dey turn dem because of the name without even considering the performance of the said player but the same set of peps here will begin to call Kelechi Nwakali who is currently in in the 2nd division of Eredivise after he couldn't cope with the Eredivise itself.
Now, you are claiming that Kelechi Nwakali who is in 2nd division league in Netherlands a potential assist king ahead of Sone Aluko who is playing regularly and given assists in the Championship.
Komekn is better than most us here who I think are hypocrites.
I can tell you that those two names he mentioned are very good players. To have played for Tottenham and Liverpool is not moi moi. Abeg, spare the guy. Well said. Some of the people calling him a "hypocrite" are the ones that will criticize you simply because you're not being "positive" enough. Patriotism doesn't equate lack of objectivity. |

komekn: But he plays week in week out mostly as a RB in the championship and has been voted the best RB in the championship.
A player needs opportunity so we can actually see what he can do. Training gives you some insight but he needs a full 45 minutes in a game before any initial deductions can be made.
The question has to be answered in relation to the SE does he bring something more than Shehu and or Ebuehi. So he should be tried at RB as well.
It's possible that Aina can play both RB & LB then that's a very good plus ➕ for the team.
I do think that Aina may combine better with V.Moses from thier Chelsea experience. He's actually played a few games as LB. 11 as lb, 18 as rb. |

joseph1013: He was playing too deep. Instead of creating, he was making too many rash tackles. At a point, I feared he would get a red. He eventually got a yellow.
I think Kelechi drifting to the 18-yard box affected Joel's connection with the attack. They were supposed to work together.
A question: For those who watch Torino's games, how much creativity does Joel pack in his game?
It was absent yesterday. I expected him to hold the ball, spray passes and generally dictate the tempo.
Onazi did drive forward and pushed the attack when he joined the foray at the latter stage of the match. Not a cerebral type of player, but he is good at driving forward with the ball and great at one on one take ons. Better on the ball than both Onazi and Ndidi. Long passing isn't that great. |

komekn: Why has Aina not had a chance to play RB a position he was voted best RB in the championship.
For me Ebuehi is better going forward and Shehu is better defensively and Aina is somewhere in between. But I can't say for sure till he plays at least 45 minutes. Hopefully Aina willl play against Serbia. Aina said he likes playing at LB. We should try him out again there. |

Joebie: Better second half
Moses: selfish but special. Iheanacho: ok performance Uzoho: "Nigeria has found a giant in this young man" Musa: should have got a goal off Onazi's clever pass Onazi: better than J. Obi going forward ESP J. Obi: showed his destroyer side Shehu: past this test Ebuehi: looks set for Russia Ekong & Balogun: don't touch that pair Ekong: my MOTM Idowu. Not excellent, but soaked the pressure. Better than Echiejile still. Iwobi: showed his Arsenal side Ndidi: hard worker always. Untouchable

Think we should play with a midfield 3 against Serbia. I like what Rohr did when he brought Ogu on and pushed Onazi to a more advanced role. We can play Joel Obi in an advanced role with Ndidi and Onazi behind or Ogu - Ndidi with Joel Obi in front. |

Dad Reveals Chelsea Defender Tomori Will Represent Nigeria Soon
Published: March 23, 2018 Osun State Deputy Governor, Mrs Titi Laoye-Tomori, has revealed that her nephew Fikayo Tomori is set to commit his international future at senior level to Nigeria.
Born in Calgary, Canada twenty years ago to Nigerian parents, the Chelsea defender can also suit up for the Super Eagles as well as the Canadian national team.
He was one of the stars of the England U20 team that lifted the Fifa U20 World Cup for the first time in their history last summer in South Korea, and has been promoted to the U21s, earning three caps for the age group this season.
''It would be my dream to see him play for the Super Eagles someday. We are so proud of him, so also is his parents,'' Titi Laoye-Tomori told saharareporterssport.com.
''He is a true professional and also very humble. He works so hard for his team and no wonder he has won so much at such young age.
''I was with his dad recently and we spoke a lot about his chances of coming to play for Nigeria soon. Right now, he is focusing on his club career and we hope he will come represent his fatherland soon.''
Tomori has been named in the latest England U21 squad for their friendly against Romania (March 24) and the European U21 Championship qualifier against Ukraine (March 27). This one will not keep quiet now. They are already putting the guy under pressure |

herroyalcutenes: The super eagles definitely need/deserve better scouting what are Elderson, Omeruo, Stephen Eze, doing in a friendly 2 months to the world cup?
In a country with a population of over 170million. Is that the best we can offer? What a shame? Kelechi and Iwobi should have started from the bench. This is the time to invite and test more players did nigerian's know Ebuehi or Idowu were good enough unit they were invited and tested.
One would expect Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis (WF, CF),Cyriel Dessers (WF , CF) , Derik Osede (DC), K.Otigba (DC), Fanendo Adi (CF, ST), Azubuike Okechukwu (AM, MC), Sunday Stephen (DM, MC) (whom benched iniesta at spain U19, U20, U21), Ryan Sanusi and of course the (king) Simon Kalu (AM, WF).
Thank God Mikel Agu was not invited his intercepts are so low and man marking so poor, for a centeral or defending midfilder. Rohr wants to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, but he has never invited a center forward (CF). If he takes this squad to the world cup Nigeria would be disgraced.
If Olarenwaju Kayode was continually called up to the Super Eagles without having a single shot on target then Fanendo Adi (Adi was signed permanently by the Portland Timbers on 23 June 2014. Where he became the club's fourth ever Designated Player) (Google Designated Player if you do not know the meaning) would do better.
Even Anthony Nwakeme would do better, if given more call-ups, He is so good at the Europa League.
Or is it Ighalo that would lead Nigeria to the Quarterfinal? Impossible.
Remember in 2014 Nigeria was the lowest scoring team in qualifying, and scoring was a big problem at the world cup. That is likely to repeat itself.
The midfield and the attack (NO.9) are Super Eagle's weakest links. Sunday Stephen?? Bros you are aware we're in 2018 and not 2007?? Derik Osede isn't that good. Wouldn't bench any of our CB Guys like Sanusi, Dessers, Kalu, Bonaventure will be looked at after the world cup. I would've liked Dessers to be tested but oh well... |
