Kwara United FC , was involved in a road mishap on Wednesday.

The accident occurred while they were returning back to Ilorin from the just concluded NNL super 4 in Lagos.

Death never pierces the heart so much as when it takes someone we love; leaving the heart they held with their passing; the New Year hasn’t started on a beautiful note for Miss Nigeria 2015 Pamela Peter-Vigboro Leesi as she is in no celebrating mood, tragedy struck in the family after she lost her father on Thursday 4th January 2018 in a fatal car crash, in River state.

The accident happened in Rivers state, her father and brother were said to have been in the car that was ran into by a trailer. The accident left her brother, Teddy badly injured. Teddy is currently receiving treatment in the hospital and thankfully responding to treatments. Her father unfortunately, died at the spot.

It is a sad moment for the 39th Miss Nigeria and her family at the moment as she mourns the death of their father and hopes for a quick recovery of her younger brother Teddy.

Our heartfelt condolence, prayer and thought are with the family.

90-year-old man, Rwakaikara walked his bride, 83, down the aisle in Wednesday, in Uganda.

The wedding ceremony was held at St. James Cathedral, Kigorobya, Hoima District and presided over by the retired bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, Nathan Kyamanywa.



Bishop Kyamanywa told the congregation that it was not too late to take God’s way, tha
nking the couple for patiently waiting for their special day.

He said the couple has challenged the young generation to also follow the way of God. He said in his pastoral work, he had never wedded a couple of this age and this has been a blessing to him.

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja after participating at the One Planet summit in Paris, France.

The president’s aircraft landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja, at about 4.35 p.m. where he was received by senior government officials including his chief of staff, Abba Kyari, and the minister of the federal capital territory, Musa Bello, The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday, December 13, presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, held at the Council Chamber, State House, Abuja.

The Vice President Osinbajo is representing President Muhammadu Buhari who is presently in Paris for the One Planet Summit taking place in France.

President Buhari who left for Paris from the Kano International Airport on Monday, December 11, will be joining over 50 world leaders for the summit.

Former vice-president Atiku Abubakar says the All Progressives Congress (APC) promised to fight corruption but instead has delivered a war on the opposition.

Atiku said this on Saturday at the PDP’s national elective convention at Eagle square Abuja.

The former vice-president said under current APC administration, the country is not working and the people are jobless.

He said the PDP has a lot to be proud of as in the last 16 years, Nigeria prospered and was recognised as the largest economy in Africa.

“Under the APC Nigeria is not working, under the APC our people are not working. Let us consider what the APC has achieved versus what they promised in the last election. The APC promised us N3 million new jobs a year, in government the APC has lost N3 million jobs a year,” Atiku said.

“The APC promised us unity, under APC Nigeria is more divided and acrimonious since the civil war. The APC promised us restructuring, in office the APC denied restructuring. The APC promised war on corruption but all they have delivered is a war on the opposition.

“Comparing the APC in government and the record of the PDP in government, we in the PDP achieved a 10-year expectancy of our people. We the PDP helped Nigeria become the largest in Africa. As members of the PDP we all have a lot to be proud of. in the 16 years that we governed we made Nigeria prosperous. We made mistakes, we are human beings but we put our nation first.

“We now have an APC government which continues to blame the previous governments rather than solving the problems. The PDP is the party that will restructure Nigeria into a modern nation with working institutions.”

The President of the AYCF, Yerima Shettima, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to abandon his right to contest the 2019 presidential election.

According to him, "the truth is that our expectations of this government have not been met. Everything they promised during the campaign and in their manifesto.

He said Buhari shouldn't seek re-election in 2019 because:

1. His anti-corruption war is selective.

"The reason why everybody sought for change was that we thought this government will fight corruption tooth and nail without considering whosoever is involved.

2. He hasn't been able to defeat Boko Haram.

“We cannot or the government cannot justify the fact that we told Nigerians that the fight against insurgency is over. Almost every day we have had casualties.

3. Poor power supply

"The third one on the campaign was the issue of power. This is nothing to write home about even though the Minister of Power told us that a responsible government should be able to fix power within six months.

The Borno state Government has decided to convert the house of the former leader of Boko Haram sect, Mohammed Yusuf, to a museum.

According to Borno state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Mohammed Bulama, the museum would help to archive all things related to Boko Haram insurgency to attract tourists and for the benefits of future generation.

“We are going to convert the house of the leader of the Boko Haram sect Mohammed Yusuf where the insurgency all started from, to a museum.

“The place is called Maarcas; we want to build a museum there where all the things that had happened relating to the insurgency will be archived.

“We want to document and archive all that had happened so that our future generation will be able to have first-hand information,” he said.

This is a pathetic story of a beautiful young lady of 25 years who gets to know that her husband of four months is a car wash boy and not a car dealer as he had made her believe during courtship. During courtship, the lady said he was always coming to visit her with different cars and when she asked him, he told her he is a car dealer.

The truth was revealed when after four months into their union she discovered he works at a car wash bay. Read the post below :
