These raw materials are so important to them that without it they'll have no choice than to shut-down production. And you know what that means - Loss of revenue.

You won't believe that some of these FMCG companies go to the extent of importing common agric produce like cocoa, sorghum, maize, wheat, soybean if they are unable to get them locally.

The irony of this is that some of the farmers who produce them do not know where to sell their products. You see some of them creating threads on www.Nairaland.com/agriculture looking for buyers for their products. Because these products are perishable and they do not have the technology to preserve them, they leave them to rot away, resulting in them losing millions of naira annually.

So, obviously there's a gap between the companies and farmers. An opportunity for you and I to fill and earn good money for ourselves.

How can we tap into this opportunity?

On discovering the gap, I developed a strategy to bridge the gap between the companies and the farmers. I won't reveal it to you here, and the results is that every now and then, I receive an alert to my bank account from the farmers/dealers I linked to the companies.

Just yesterday, I got one for N50,000 from a palm oil dealer in Akwa Ibom state who I connected to a detergent manufacturing company in Lagos. I'm not going to mention the lady's name, the only thing I'll tell you is that she has a very active palm oil thread on Nairaland's agriculture section and her username starts with "P". Sometimes, I earn more than that from a single transaction. And the best part of it is that I did not invest anything. Just a few minutes on the phone with both parties and the next thing I see is an alert.

2. A laptop with internet connection (For Research). There’s no problem if you don’t have a laptop, a phone with browsing facility will do. And if you don’t have that, you can use the cyber café.

3. A few bucks for marketing (You need to create a business card, proposal and transport yourself to and from the company location).

4. Nothing More (You don’t need an office to do this).
