SoNature: Interesting to see states with no single drop of oil and bring nothing to the centre like Katsina, Borno, Kano, Oyo and Jigawa getting more from the centre than states with crude oil like Edo, Imo, Abia, Anambra and Ondo. Meanwhile, crude oil sales account for over 85% of federal government earnings. Niger Delta states have been scammed! what are they using the one they got to do Especially delta and bayelsa |

UptownVibes: You can be working in the same place with a lady, earning same amount.. But because you are in a relationship with her,she will still want you to spend all your earnings on her. When you broke, she will move on and call you broke ass.
For this reason, never you spend money you can't afford to let go on a woman who is not your daughter, or mother.. it’s funny that women earning same salary as you in the same company mostly dont see men as their equal and tag you broke. They believe their class is the senior managers and other ogas. 5 years later when they clock 32 they will now be trying to get back with you🤣 |

Obtained my Canada Citizenship last week 3 years 5 months after i landed . Don’t listen to those anti japa people , some of their kids have USA citizenship already. The Canada immigration has changed a bit since I applied in 2019 but if you meet the requirements and have in demand occupation abeg pursue it o. If you can learn French too please do.
Most of what i learnt about express entry was from Nairaland. I found out a certification i did in 2009 qualified for two or more degrees here. I learnt about gift deed here etc. Canada also has its own challenges but it cannot be compared to Nigeria. The quality of life, access to healthcare, peace of mind and amenities etc. Me i don signout o. One love 😁

kamtrix: There is an elite group of japa people that do not necessarily live abroad. They typically spend 6 months in USA or Canada or UK and spend 6 months back in Nigeria. They go abroad to work for some months and come back home to Nigeria. Please who can guide on how to achieve that status instead of going abroad to live there or spend years. What is the best route or process to achieve that, especially for Canada or USA. Please help with advice and experiences. Thanks nairaland you said elite group. You are not an elite, you dont have the skills or money they have. So how you wan take do am They usually have permanent residency/ green card ( gotten through marriage or meeting the residency requirements) and move their families abroad while maintaining their jobs or business in Nigeria. Shell, chevron and other high earners do this. Also rich businessmen and politicians do this. Double your hustle

silentone: A family friend is about submitting their application, however, the husband has a child outside wedlock who lives with his mum and won’t be accompanying them. Also, my friend and her husband are yet to have a child. Should she select family of 2 (since it’s just her and her husband) or family of 3 to include her stepchild who doesn’t live with them and isn’t relocating with them as he is still underage and with his mum.
Would declaring funds and filling in family of 2 be deemed as misinterpretation?
What are the pros and cons they are a family of 3. The cons - you can be sent back at point of entry if discovered ( happened to a Nigerian couple around 2019 or 2020- the pregnant dependant was asked if it was their first pregnancy she said no, but first with her husband- they were sent back to Nigeria and had to add the child to their application ). The child cannot be sponsored by the parent to Canada as the child wasn’t declared. |

OkCornel: Something is fundamentally wrong with tribal sycophants. I’m really trying hard to make sense of it.
If she was in the inner circle benefitting from kickbacks. Perhaps I can rationalise it. But tribalism with hardship and poverty, I just can’t make any sense of it.
Perhaps we need specimens to lock in a cage and do some research or something. the end goal is one day they may be noticed and given appointment. I challenged a lady i met at ielts center in 2019 ( for Canada paroles) who was campaigning for Buhari . She told me she is doing it with the hope that she will get a SSA post. So you were planning to japa ( she later japa after the elections), but you were campaigning for a Buhari on social media and real life. I weak |
