I swear you could have fooled me, VELA ? ! !

Bendtner looks faster than he does, that means we ought to be better than Villa in counters for heaven's with him and Wally upfront .

grin that's why they call them OAPs .
If all it takes to win the title is 25mil, why not ? But It's the long term effect i'm worried about. God forbid we have a situation where the new 25 milla guy, RVP, dudu, Bendtner and Vela are all fit and want to play like the Tevez situation at Man u.

@V , if we're buying £25 million players who're in their early twenties , then i think to all intents and purposes "Wenger's development" philosophy has been defeated. What moral justification would we have to condemn what the Reals, Chelseas or Man cities are doing to football ? It just doesn't add up in my book or what do you think ? undecided

angry Why are you evil, bigoted men venting your sexual frustrations on Criz's small head, do y'all think It's easy to conduct elections in unruly Nigeria ?
Yes yes i know NL is on the web, but that doesn't change the fact that It's Nigerian by nature. She's doing a good job abeg considering the fact that she's expecting.

^ grin V3 The manner in which he presented it was what confused me. I was like, "yes Becks was loaned to Preston, so what does dayo actually mean ?" grin

@dudu, bringing a striker in their age bracket is what i hope AW will avoid. Why not go for a thirtyish guy like Trezeguet who's still hot but will wither in less than two years so as not to hamper our progression of strikers ?

I do agree that under Abacha many contracts were awarded based on merit not the present man know man, cut backs and kick backs we have today. But we all know good roads doesn't always translate to a good society. What about freedom of speech, state brutality, weak judiciary, lack of telecommunications and many other vices that came with that regime ?
Atleast now i can go on TV and say Yar'adua is failing us without vanishing into thin air.
Politics › Re: Cecilia Ibru To Lose 28 Houses In Dubai by edoyad(m): 8:06am On Dec 23, 2009
Abeg spare me jare, 28 houses in dubai aint ish . Unless she defrauded Nigerians and used their money into purchasing those houses, 28 houses is so easy to own in Dubai. Do you think all the houses in Dubai are worth millions ? They're quarters for all strata of people who reside there so you don't have to be a millionaire to own one.
If many of these people can own private jets worth $40million then tell me how an equal sum of money can't get you 28 houses with change to spare ? The problem is that she was responsible to the people who trusted her with their money but she failed them, otherwise Ibru family have always been a wealthy family.

Brooklyn don't worry you'll be his cell mate there ? grin

Mekusx, i don't agree, they are all equally guilty. They've caused Nigerians to go comatose and believe development comes from praying earnestly to a "GOD" . I don't even know who's worse, the fatalistic muslims or irrationally optimistic Christians ? undecided

@winiret, unfortunately for your supposed convecture i'm not from the south east. But believe me if There's any region of Nigeria that would thrive most, not only in a true federal system but, in the event of a break up of Nigeria into atleast 6 zones, i know the south east would be it.
And as for states, there created for administrative purposes and not for bleeding national treasuries. But ofcourse when people who are in govt dont know what govt is about(Nigerians in general), they think It's about largesse

Politics › Re: Share Oil Wealth Based On Population, Sharia Superior To Constitution-North West by edoyad(m): 8:12pm On Dec 22, 2009
@ winiret, if my peoples demand for state creation is heeded to, what stops the demand of the south-south people for resource control from being accepted also ? The reason some regions refuse to accept resource control is because they feel that one region would possess enormous wealth while other regions would suffer, that is so wrong. If there is a steady and gradual introduction of resource control into the system, that would allow other regions the opportunity to develop their economic advantages before the eventual full implementation.
So, south west develops and exploits cocoa, education and commerce and yahoo yahoo.
South east develops trade, manufacturing, mining and drug trafficking.
Middle belt develops agriculture, mining and alcohol.
North east and North west develops cattle rearing, sharia and gateman LOLs

^ Tell me what future they are destroying ? Is it The one being converted to hard currency and flown out on private jets ? My friend take a look at those children in the marshy lands of the Niger Delta living like mud wrestlers and tell me if they look like There's a future for them. The same land where billions of dollars worth of petroleum is pumped and used to contaminate the fishing waters they manage to survive on.

You people do fear for your lives ? You condemn holy men of God.
That's how my brother used to condemn one holy female Pastor. One day she started praying and before you know he followed her back home, she f%&ked the living day light out him eh, he accepted the holy ghost day sad

Politics › Re: MEND Resumes Hostilities And Attacks Shell/Chevron Pipeline by edoyad(m): 2:46pm On Dec 22, 2009
Kobojunk you ignorantly say MEND Is made up of south-south agberos ? I pity your ignorance but may be i can understand where it stems from if you don't know there are well educated people in their camps coordinating logistics.
Didn't you and your friend tensor say that, WE Nigerians should change things with our hands ? Well MEND have heard your call and are responding with their hands with the aid kalashnikovs and rocket launchers.
Though i don't support terror on innocent civilians, i am 100% in support of what they're fighting for and i'm not from the south-south. Do You think they're fighting for only the south-south ? If so then you must be blind to the systemic failure all over Nigeria. If the FG will not listen to the cries of common Nigerians barely surviving under their purposeless leadership, then what the creek boys are doing should be replicated by every other Zone in Nigeria.
When that happens, they will learn to bring Saudi Arabian hospitals to Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Shell Plans $5 Billion Sale Of Oil Fields In Nigeria by edoyad(m): 11:29am On Dec 22, 2009
o999, If you think Globa com will recoup $1 billion dollars of investment in the next 5 years at best you don't know what you're saying. Do you even know how much more facilities have to go into the ground before the fibre optic services will spread round Nigeria, Ghana, Togo , Cote d' voire etc ? When my brother and i told another brother who had been in Australia and Singapore about the submarine cable he told us we probably misunderstood the story cos it was technologically impossible to achieve, that's history now.
About your road construction, do you think the roads you drive on were manufactured in China and delivered to up. Most indigenous contractors go through hell to get contracts and the few who do have bribe their way with virtually the whole contract sum nothing is left to build the roads.
PS: ask anyone or go read yourself about the Nigerian who has won a contract in "Iraq" to build a monorail system for them worth half a billion dollars(tentatively). That same man's proposal is still lying somewhere in one Nigerian ministry after years of submission.
Politics › Re: Share Oil Wealth Based On Population, Sharia Superior To Constitution-North West by edoyad(m): 11:01am On Dec 22, 2009
Unfortunately/fortunately my zone(my people in particular) are after state creation not secession. We don't need anybody's oil money to prosper, we're generally hard working people who excel in all endeavours and cherish the positive values of man kind. I empathize with the cheated people of the south-south that's why i speak here, they have been robbed for far too long.
Politics › Re: Shell Plans $5 Billion Sale Of Oil Fields In Nigeria by edoyad(m): 10:42am On Dec 22, 2009
@o999 and Dentale, shell is going no where but even if they were what rubbish are you talking ?
The $1 billion Adenuga used to lay fibre optic cables from Nigeria to the New world came from your village thrift societies ba ? Not to mention the 3 plus years it took.
Last time i checked Adenuga was a Nigerian yoruba not a beninoise or Togolese one.
Politics › Re: Share Oil Wealth Based On Population, Sharia Superior To Constitution-North West by edoyad(m): 10:22am On Dec 22, 2009
^ The provisions of the constitution also allow for freedom of expression. Another strong point is your right to determine what the content proposal is.

But let me show you what the law of human existence allows for, SECESSION. That is the law many civilisations have utilised from time immemorial and will continue to do so in ages to come. Some are bloody, some are not, but one thing is constant about all; people abandon a larger societal group they believe is a hinderance on their own progress and opt to be on their own.
Politics › Re: Daar Communications Sues Fg Over Plans To Cancel Network Licence by edoyad(m): 9:43am On Dec 22, 2009
When a few years back the US released intelligence reports that the entity known as Nigeria would cease to exist by the middle of the next decade, the Obasanjo people(and many of us too) came out with ferocity condemning the US. Now the signs of that inevitable disintegration are beginning to show but instead of the illegal "leadership" to tackle the real problems they still want to fight with populace.
These types of events prelude seismic activities that shake a nation's foundations. A wise govt like the Apartheid one in South Africa in the 1980s read the writing on the wall and relinquished political power, in Nigeria the blind mice don't seem to understand what the writing reads. I weep for what is about to erupt, MY COUNTRY NIGERIA.
Politics › Re: Hausa Community Advocates New Capital For Plateau State by edoyad(m): 8:26am On Dec 22, 2009
How wonderful. They want to impose sharia on minorities in local govt states like Zamfara, Jigawa, Bauchi and Gombe, but want to live freely in another man's state ah ?
The funny part of the story is where they claim to have lost 11.6 Naira. While i regret the loss of lives, we know that many of the Hausas in plateau are beggar like elements from bauchi and gombe states. Are all the mud houses and rams they possess in their home states worth 1.6 billion Naira not to mention 11.6 billion ?
