You are wise!!!
Eriokanmi:
I believed your story from day one. Congrats! This is what people should know...

1- Processing time differs, from country to country and this also fluctuates.

2- If you've been to the US before, you're most likely going to have your application prioritised or processed much faster than others who have not, regardless of the standard processing time announced by the IRCC
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Educhopper(m): 9:32pm On Jan 06, 2024
I submitted from Peru.
Also checked the processing time which was 35 days few days ago. Now it's 54 days as your rightly pointed out. Never knew about this CAN+ until now you pointed it out. Nice info you dished out. Cheers!!!
Ashirioluwa:
I'm not sure where you submitted your application, but the average processing time for applications from Peru is 54 days.

Also, because you had a US visa at the time your application was submitted, this makes your application qualified for the CAN+ program, which expedited the processing of your application.

I might sound harsh if I say the Agent is a liar. To softly put it, please thread with caution.
Agents are full of lies and deceits.

please I need urgent response so I can make an informed decision. thank you so much!
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Educhopper(m): 9:00am On Jan 06, 2024
Very true. I had my application submitted on the 22nd of December. Had biometric request same day. Did my biometric on the 23rd. Just yesterday I got request for passport submission. The only document submitted was my valid USA visa and an introduction letter listing my countries travelled. Note I have a Peru passport (which might be a key decider or not). In summary my application took less than 2 weeks for passport request. Shalom!!!
Johndooe009:
Good afternoon everyone,

I did a visiting visa application for my Parent on Dec 19th, 2023. Biometrics letter came the same day, they did their biometrics on the 2nd of January and it was updated Jan 3rd on the portal.

I heard there's a trend that if the applicants have a US visa either valid or expired, the application get processed faster? I want to confirm this pls.

thank you

NEW UPDATE FROM IRCC
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Educhopper(m): 1:35pm On Nov 25, 2023
Thank you sir. God bless you for your detailed explanation. Thanks for all the advices you give here on Nairaland to those who are bothered about different issues on study visa application. May God greatly reward you. Amén 🙏
I would keep in touch during my application. Thanks .
Frankrobbn1:
I totally understand your concern about the study gap for your wife. The good news is that study gaps are quite common, and Canadian officers take various factors into consideration during the application process. They understand that life happens and people take breaks for different reasons.

In your wife's case, she has a solid explanation for her study gap. She was busy with her NYSC, job search, personal business, raising your adorable baby girl, and establishing stability in her life. These experiences can actually be seen as valuable life skills that she can bring to her studies in Canada.

When applying, it's important to highlight these experiences and how they have contributed to her personal growth and readiness for further education. Emphasize her determination and commitment to pursuing her studies now that she's in a stable position to do so.

Remember, each application is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and visa officers value diversity and unique life experiences. So, don't worry too much, my friend! Just make sure to present a strong application that showcases your wife's motivation, skills, and readiness for the program she's interested in.

If you need any further assistance or have more questions, feel free to ask here. Good luck to both of you on this exciting journey!

It will end in praise

You are good to go. You shouldn't have a problem. Sasks poly is quite easy. They do not joke with their money. Hope you've read the school fees payment terms
Yes I saw their payment terms and also confirmed from the school. Expensive but wanna give it a try because I have a sibling who is settled in Saskatchewan province, thereby accommodation would be settled for me. Thanks a lot for your reply.

Good day gurus in the house. I want to apply for a 2 years Diploma, fall 2024 for my wife soonest. I would be her sponsor. I have been getting her documents ready for submission. My worry is she precisely has 9 years study gap presently. She graduated the university in 2014. Afterwards she went for her NYSC, job search, she worked for a while, became independent and did her personal business, got married, raised our baby girl and now stable to study. Would the 9 years study gap (10 years by next year) jeopardize our chances of pursuing studying and moving to Canada? Please help a brother. I need advices from gurus in the house. Thanks a lot. It's urgent. Shalom!!!

Thanks for the knowledge you are sharing. May God reward your harvest bountifully. Please include photos of your earthen pond for novices like me. (quote author=aquadude15 post=104008119]good afternoon.
after a month and half after stocking, in is necessary to do a total flush of the water by pumping all the water in the pond then release fresh water into the pond.
doing this would help reduce ammonia level in the pond which most times leads to infection like fin rot
TravelRe: How Is Life In Argentina, Peru And Ecuador. by Educhopper(m): 9:33pm On Oct 08, 2020
Depends on your mission or aim of travelling to these places. If you are an english teacher, both countries would suit you. Sportsman also survive anywhere. For hussles? What kind of hussles? These countries are not better than Naija. Yet have their benefits. From little experience, Ecuador rank better. Jordan is in middle east. Religion and other cultural differences might be a deciding factor. Decision boils down to what your aim of travelling there are.. quote author=john8899 post=94746927]Please I would like to know about moving to Ecuador or Jordan.
TravelRe: How Is Life In Argentina, Peru And Ecuador. by Educhopper(m): 9:27pm On Oct 08, 2020
Among the 3 countries mentioned according to ranking, Argentina is the best, followed by Peru then Ecuador. Brazil, Chile are ranked even better amongst them all. Note that south americans do not speak our native english language. So to survive, learning their native spanish or portuguese in brazil is a 100% must.
molybdenum0012:
Hey guys,

If you are in any of these three countries Argentina, Peru and Ecuador please share your experience. How is life there?

Learnt that it takes just two years to get their citizenship after which you can have access to about 143 countries visa free.
TravelRe: How Is Life In Argentina, Peru And Ecuador. by Educhopper(m): 9:22pm On Oct 08, 2020
Kinda correct. Just that the system works better. Light, water, roads, etc. Crime and drug trafficking is high. Peru passport is super beneficial.

It is 4 years actually and not 2 years.
Which all depends if you are legal before the marriage to a peruvian. If illegal and still married, you are entitled to nothing. Not even a Permanent Residence.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Educhopper(m): 5:20am On May 10, 2020
@joneyd if you already had a spouse in canada, then migrating is easier rather using study as an avenue. She can file for you and follow the process of bringing you to canada.
TravelRe: Countries To Migrate As A Non-graduate / Menial Worker After This Pandemic by Educhopper(m): 3:32am On May 04, 2020
1.5m is too small a time to make a trip, work and make gains as quickly as possible to repay your loan. If you already had a USA visa, with under the table jobs there, you could cover all flight expenses and make extra gain to repay your debt. Note that getting any visa for any trip anywhere, be it, trips to south america, europe or anywhere in africa would not be productive. My best bet is you look around you in nigeria and trade in something little for a start with low capital. God bless you.
