summary of my journey. .

I started this journey in January 2020. Then I never knew of this beautiful home, Nairaland. I started searching for a school and researching for the Fall 2021 intake. Writing to potential supervisors sotey i got tired of writing. But in the end, one supervisor accepted ( but no funding was attached). I applied to the following school:

My School application details.

University of Manitoba: Got rejected
University of Northern British Columbia: Got Rejected
Simon Fraser University: Rejected
Cape Breton University: Admitted but not what I wanted as I wanted Masters
University of Saskatchewan: last-minute admission ( when I thought all hope was lost). It was a relief as it was my first choice, but I had to increase the number of schools applied to increase my chances.

So my newbies, please I know is money, but please do not limit your chances to just 1 school, even if you have a sweet CGPA. Even my 4.34 CGPA couldn't compete with the best CGPA's that applied.

With the late admission letter, I headed to submit my application. Mind you, I was already about to submit an application with Cape Breton University baccalaureate with all done until the last-minute master's admission. Fiam everything changed. have to start writing a new SOP, and all other documents again.

Had to use just 2weeks to do all, by then I have known niaraland and the family came to my rescue.

I ended submitting my application in late May (May 29). Then the wait began. After exactly 4months and 13 days, the dream letter landed and it was a wonderful day.

Now the journey has come to fruition and is time to return to my work in peace as I wait for the Jappa movement.

Want to use this medium to thank us all and to encourage newbies to keep pushing. All you need for your application is here, with gurus who can guide you accordingly.

What a journey and it was worth it. So never give up. it will surely end in praises.

Listening

You struggling with part 3/4, because u either have missed answers that has made u lost focus or your listening skills is very poor. Whichever, u have to maintain focus. Listen attentively for all. Practice with cambridge 10-17. This is the same with the real exams.. whatever u get in this, is likely what u will in the main exam. So please find time and practice!!

Reading

Like I said , find out where u struggle with. Check out asiya fasttracks on youtube, she helped me with T/F/NG and paragraph heading. Practice with cambridge 10-17. Whatever u get here is likely what u will in the main exam.

Writing

Like I said too, practice all the essay types , they are about 7/8. Use this website to practice
www.ielts-up.com they have all the essay types.

U will pass it surely in Jesus name. ��

For Writing- my task 1 has improved but task 2 still has a long way to go

You have not applied for immigration before in Canada since you haven't gotten an ITA or submit an application before... So feel free to create another profile with your new IELTS.

I submitted a express entry profile around May and was ineligible. Now, I've passed my ielts and know better. Please, is it possible to create another profile entirely? I tried to but came across a question, if I have applied for immigration before in canada? Please, what should I do?

Tips I used.
Listening. - practice with cambridge and listen attentively.
Speaking - be bold and confident, you don't have to answer the questions correctly but speak correctly.
Writing - practice all the types of essays and then letters.
Reading- practice with cambridge... Find out where you struggle with (T/F/NG, or paragraph headings) and determine to conquer em by knowing their tricks.
Use E2 language and fasttracks on youtube you will surely ace it.

BC sent an email that my IELTS results is available now but after logging into the test portal, it only reads results, nothing else. I've logged in and out multiple times. I don't know where else to go! The suspense is killing! I just want to release this ache from my chest!

Concerning the bta, u don't have issue, but for the hotel stay, u may have issue here with Nigeria immigration, just hold money to settle them... Because they will tell u two days hotel is nothing.

carry enough PTA (personal travel allowance) while going I went with 1200$ and the immigration office told me it isnt enough that I should bribe him with 20$ I told him HELL NO, so 1200$ over 432,000 wont be enough for a 14days trip, even after I had paid for my flight fee and hotel ? He said he wants to call the hotel to confirm I told him to go ahead, he saw I was really ready and wanted to stress me by telling me to go print my hotel reservation (all these were happening inside oh) as I was about going to print he called me back and cleared me. Got to the next immigration office , he still said my money isnt enough the moment I opened my mouth they tagged me alaroro, alaroro pass joor. Lol. I dont know how to use bus from the airport thou, and dubai no be like 9ja wey u go dey ask plenty questions for airport

dubai airport no get time to follow person talk self, na for 9ja airport they go wan intimidate u if its ur first time,, to get a bus card just go to any metro station its sold for 25aed with 20 aed bus fair loaded inside, its substracts via each fair u enter , as it reduced u can top up any amount u want.

About MMA.... Nigeria is far far backward... Nigeria is still in 1984 while other country are already in 2025...we are leaving backward and we are happy about it..... In Egypt and dubai there is nothing like virgin passport discrimination, its only in Nigeria u will see them tasking u and behaving and sounding unprofessional..... Though I was task, but I gave them only 500naira.

Get all the food stuffs you can lay your hands on except oil,
Grind equsi, Ogbono, pepper, crayfish,dry fish,stockfish,dried bitter leaf, garri, everything edible except oil.

Buy sponge for bathing...
Cloths are cheaper in Nigeria,

Change your money to dollars from Nigeria and when you get to UAE, you can change them to dirham.

Change small amount of dollars at the airport, from there you can pay taxi, but sim, pay house rent and other little expenses...

When you fully integrate into the system,
Currency exchangers are everywhere and it will be more favorable for you.

I can't remember other things to tell you but you can ask questions...

Also authenticate your results, if you have one and not much necessary...
