Politics › Re: Jonathan To Rule For A Single Term Of Seven Years If Elected by egift(m): 10:28pm On Dec 19, 2010
I have said it before - the only person that will stop Jonathan is GEJ. And as long as he allows greed to remain his leading virtue, he is doomed.

Can someone name one project that cannot be completed in 4years? Greedy Jonathan.

United Kingdom is made up of Wales, GB, Scotland, and Northan Ireland. I seriously doubt that those who lead the country are chosen on a rotation basis.

I feel that zoning and Federal character have really held us back as a people. We are not allowed to choose the best amongst us because we want to satisfy others.

Can someone please tell me what the benefits of this very ancient system is. What have we gained as a nation?
^^^
- UK is has a royal linage
- UK have a well institutionalized arms of governance
- Compare UK's four member groups with over 300 ethnic nationalities that little or nothing in common.

Its sad how many Jonathan's supporters are now blind to simply truth about Zoning arrangements just because of the immediate benefit.

^^^ I believe the original question, which remains unanswered is, how many jobs have actually been created? Where do you get your numbers from?
Nobody is quoting any figures. But its obvious that lives have been affected positively, other businesses boosted, food on the tables of many families, ordinary folks moving from point A to B with air-conditioner sound proofs (at-least feel big within those minutes), and its been a boost to the state too.

Imagine its indirect effects on schools, healthcare, banks, mechanics shops, car wash, gas stations, etc.

Bose supplies radio components to Nissan/Infiniti, does that mean that Nissan owns Bose?. One vehicle alone has up to 1000 components made by different companies; how possible is it for the auto company to own all the companies?.

Go and read about outsourcing and how companies use it to maximize profits.[/quote]Exactly

There have always been provision till now for other posts - such that a particular ethnic group don't occupy all the top positions.

But if we discard it just to please Goodluck, that means any ethnic group to comes to power will keep everything to itself. Which is not good for a complex nation like Nigeria.

Beaf:
Atiku is a dunce.
Beaf - you keep repeating this word, its getting synonymous to you.

Why not be telling us what Jonathan is. You are portraying yourself (and Jonathan's team by extension) as people who are very disrespectful and abusive to others who are not sucking the Jonathan's Feeding Bottle. Or is that who you are?
Politics › Re: Imo Assembly Rejects Atiku by egift(m): 12:16pm On Dec 19, 2010
See how a chamber is held by the Governor. There action is unnecessary. On election day just cast your vote (once actually). Or does it mean no other person have a different point of view - cos it seem suppressive. Imagine Seun tell the world that all Nairaland members will vote for only one candidate grin grin grin
Politics › Re: No Automatic Ticket For Pdp Govs – Nwodo by egift(m): 12:10pm On Dec 19, 2010
Nwodo and Jonathan are speaking from 3 sides of their mind grin grin grin

I hope he understands that if his statement is taken seriously, especially the Governors, the Atiku will become the PDP candidate.

Because they will not be any "Automatic Ticket" for Jonathan.

kettykin:
ibos might not be able to produce nigeria's president .
It will be rather easier for an ibo man to rule America or britain than rule Nigeria.

My take is for ibos to take up rebuilding their economies and their region than struggle to preside over the dying business venture of lugard
(The Royal Niger company)
Their brightest brains of ibo land are all over the world , lagos and abuja.
Working to get other businesses and these cities to develop rather than working to develop their cities.

Ibos did not learn anything from the civil war.
Going by you accretion, the best bet for South East will be a VP (2nd in command) position and a clean shot at the Presidency with Atiku and not a 6th position and 2031 option under Goodluck. grin grin grin
Politics › Re: Pastor Adeboye Prays For President Jonathan - Picture & Video by egift(m): 11:58am On Dec 19, 2010
How many times do a Muslim pray a day? GEJ have got to do more than this photo ops - if he intend to go far.

Though am yet to know how such prayers get answered - since after such a wonderful session like this, he will still go back, pal and conspire with some of the know political crooks Nigeria ever produced. grin grin grin

He needs more than luck now. All the best.
Politics › Re: Should There Be A Law To Prevent Zoning by egift(m): 11:50am On Dec 19, 2010
Hope the above is not what you want in Nigeria. Or its okay to do so just to make sure you force the greed of the few into our throat?
Politics › Re: Should There Be A Law To Prevent Zoning by egift(m): 11:47am On Dec 19, 2010
A nation as complex as ours need some form of arrangements to function. What you are suggesting, don't even in any way facilitate the breakup of Nigeria, if that is what you hope.

Suspending Zoning and Federal Character will only:
- Make those in power so powerful (tyrants)
- The most populated having control of everything (in a democratic setting)
- Throw Nigeria into Military rule now and then (coup and counter coup)
- Killing of other ethnic groups by those in power (to either silence them or cut them to size)
- One sided power sharing (the ethnic group in power will head everything)
- Frequent change in Nigerian constitution (when a new government is in place, they will amend it)
Politics › Re: Should There Be A Law To Prevent Zoning by egift(m): 11:34am On Dec 19, 2010
And you guys believe it should be a free for all fight? See how blind you all get just because doing so will align your pockets and interest in the mean time.

What hope is their for the minority in Nigeria if your wishes are granted? So because you people are forcing Jonathan into the throat of Nigerians, all institutions that took years to build should be destroyed?

Why can't he just be this way?

Why is Nwodo bent on throwing Enugu State into fire. Is the peace and rapid development going on in Enugu paining him and his Abuja boys? Why can't he join force with Governor Chime?

GEJ is Greedy. This explains why he is not saying much about hand over. We need not remind him what took Obj out of power.

The Taxi project was in part an empowerment scheme. There is Nissan, Suziki and Benz - Anyone that you can want and the Suziki have been a hot cake once you complete your returns - Car is yours (including Insurrance, Global mobile tracking facility, and others).
