Read my question again, 8k issue came after the suffering started, goverment should have planned for palliatives before embarking on subsidy removal, for example by going after the subsidy crooks and recovering billions they stole, ofcourse there are traces to follow to get them , reduce the cost of governance, rather they arbitrary remove the thing in one swoop with any prior arrangements for the side effects.

While the people suffer, they approved 70 billion for themselves and told the masses to manage 8k for 12 million families.

I dont know what the strike aims to achieve......coz the government cannot keep on subsidizing fuel. Their strike is technically to increase minimum wage which will only apply to the government workers and corporate workers with the vast population still the same...

this thing is simple....the government needs money to keep running which at the moment the government don't have, cos over 90% of their earnings is spent on debt servicing....... therefore, subsidy must go!

im also a citizen feeling the pain oooo......but the truth nothing any body can do at the moment....the country has been terribly ran by successive administrations and we are now feeling the results of poor management....

The guy told them his children get free education from primary school to university....in return for him paying half his salary in taxes. Would you agree if Nigeria did that? ).

Plus do you have good libraries, good hostel facilities, good lecture theaters, and good labs and so forth? Nope...that's because you are paying for cheap stuff, and cheap stuff is not as good as the expensive stuff.

I went to university for cheap. And my hostel was bad(I eventually rented rooms off campus), my university library had out of date books...I had to spend money buying textbooks because of that, my labs were old fashioned, and so on.

Oga, the private universities meanwhile are growing in strength. Because they have access to money. If care is not taken, in ten years time, employers would be looking at ABUAD graduates before they look at UI, UNN or Unilag graduates.

Since it’s a forfeiture resulting from a civil case, what’s the point fighting it? Tinubu was already a Senator when the forfeiture order was made against his account. So, it makes more sense to simply allow the civil forfeiture order stand than to keep wasting money on appeal. Same way we all pay VIO and FRSC fine for traffic offense without appeal.

A sensible person should know by now that Tinubu has nothing to hide. The same school wrote to the presidential election tribunal confirming that Bola Tinubu actually attended the university and graduated with honors. They even released the certified true copy of his academic records signed by their legal officer to the tribunal including a new certificate that was reissued. So, what exactly are you sore losers still looking for?

Stop supporting nonsense, read the petition again, they asked for details of his admission and acceptance, they are different from what the university declared.

In any case if everything is fine, why block the petition? Stop ethnic and tribal affiliations, that's what brought us where we are today?
