Hypocritical statement. Asking the people to endure when the leaders and policy makers are not showing any signs that they understand the assignment.

MASTERCHIEF0847:
Tribal bigots will learn a bitter lesson, this is just the beginning till they start pushing the naira in wheel-barrows to just to pay for purchase of bread like it happened in Zimbabwe next time they won't vote/support a candidate based on tribal/ethnic sentiments. Banza.
The country has been on a steady decline as the Sunny Okosun song 'which way Nigeria' released in 1984 quoted by the writer attested to. Nigeria's problem remains the same "Poor leadership and followership". We have been watching our nation spiral out of control for decades and all we do is build more churches and mosques, fight each other over whose turn it is to loot our common wealth and throw insults. Until we understand that we do not have another nation and that we must pass on a worthy legacy to the generations yet to come nothing will change.

I don't just understand what lead to the increase coz we have all the raw materials here. It's now 12k per bag in some places.

100 bags is ₦1m. How poor man wan take get house like this?
Just watch how they will explain it away afterwards like it is a normal thing for the price to go up so outrageously as it has in the past 2 weeks. Eventually what are the advantages of local production if prices can take to flight like birds in the sky.
Politics / Re: Thugs Disrupt Edo APC Primary Election Results Collation by ehinja: 4:52pm On Feb 17
We seem to be stuck in a behavioural time line. The more things change the more they remain the same. Nothing positive can come out of the current political way doing things. See where we are today as a nation.
Politics / Re: Edo2024: APC Governorship Primary Holds Today by ehinja: 3:43pm On Feb 17
All these activities with the sole aim and purpose to steal and corner state resources. Politicians are definitely occupying the hottest place in hell.

Abeg forget tactics. You guys tried but Ivory Coast was simply better in that Final - either because of their home advantage or the extra motivation they had by the miraculous way they qualified from the Group.

True that is the way it was on the night. The Ivorians were extra charged and motivated. Our boys tried as tournament football is not easy especially against the host nation with everything at stake.

Nigeria is still a bleeped up country. Na the love of the game, no be love for the yeye country.

Love of the country is not to be taken lightly. It should be like a religion - taught, nurtured and practiced so we can live it and be it then pass it on to the next generation continually.

Politics / Re: Forex Crisis: Our Crude Oil Sold In Advance – NGF by ehinja: 10:35am On Feb 08
The lies upon lies being bantered by our politicians and policy makers with regards to our common wealth and resources wreck of wickedness and callousness from the very pit of hell itself.
How can we not continually care of what becomes of us and generations of young and unborn Nigerians. How can we be saddled with hopeless leadership perpetually thinking of their bottomless greed and pockets to the detriment of the nation they call home.
Politics / Re: "wake Up, Tackle Insecurity" – Bode George Charges Tinubu by ehinja: 2:18pm On Feb 01
Security is tied to economic well being. Any president that does not know this has no business leading the country.
There are too many jobless young and able bodied people roaming the streets of Nigeria which is a recipe for disaster in the first place.
Arming an impoverish security personnel will not cut it as the will to do the extra required to combat insecurity is not there. We must get our economy working enough to support the population and in so doing we will be able to combat insecurity to a reasonable level.

No country can evolve productively if its young and capable population decides to ghost it because they cannot see a future involving them in their own fatherland.
We have to see this as a real malice and do everything to address it the root causes which is very glaring for us all to see. Nigerian youths must see and have a stake rightfully in their home country as the future belongs to them.

Politics / Re: Buhari Foresaw What Would Happen To The Naira And The Economy If He Devalued by ehinja: 8:46am On Jan 31
How do you say a country is retrogressive without actually saying it out loud. The old government is and has always been adjudged better since the inception of democracy and in extension governance in Nigeria. No government has come to out perform the previous government ; all we hear is excuses and stories and only for things to keep getting worse.
Politics / Re: Sowore Lambasts Govt For Abandoning $360m Stadium In Abuja, Leaving It To Rot by ehinja: 2:38pm On Jan 24
I have come to the conclusion that the lack of maintenance of our public structures and institutions is deliberate. There is no money in steady maintenance for our government officials so they prefer to let these infrastructures decay before another huge pay out to repair what should have been easily kept running with steady maintenance.

As all other airlines will make a stop in their country of origin before proceding to Dubai this will make the Nigerian passengers only fly Emirates.Nice way to take out the competition without violating any rules. Only airlines based in Nigeria can otherwise operate as well if any.

Education / Re: NUC Begins Assessment Of Universities Ahead Resumption by ehinja: 10:13pm On Aug 06, 2020
NUC is not regulating the university education properly.
How can schools withhold student results after 2 years of writing their final exams.
If their are no guidelines or regulations that ensures fairness for students then there has to be some put in place cause students and their guardians are being taken advantage off.
Education / Wasting Students Time After Graduating by ehinja: 1:41pm On Aug 06, 2020
I will like to point out a growing trend for concern in some of our Tertiary institutions especially Edo State University in this regard.

Where students after finishing their studies will be awaiting their final results confirmation for more than 2 years. In the process delaying NYSC call up and eventual working life or further educational pursuit.

This in my opinion is very insensitive and wicked of the lecturers and educational system that can inflict this kind of pain and worry on students they have taught and mentored for over 4-5 years.

How can lecturers and administrators go to sleep at night knowing they are holding other people's children future to ransom for selfish and totally unacceptable reasons.

This is no way to treat the future of the country as responsible adults who called themselves professionals. The government cannot do it all as many of our obstacles in this country are self inflicted with inconsiderate people making life unbearable for their fellow men/women.

NUC and the ministry of education must not let this become a norm as it totally negates the true essence of getting educated.
Politics / A People With No Shame - A Tale Of Nigeria by ehinja: 11:25am On Aug 06, 2020
A people with no shame is that possible you may ask. Well with us Nigerians this seems to be the norm.
How else can we explain our present existence of constant degradation of everything around us as a nation from infrastructures to morals.
No Power
No Transportation
No Education
No Jobs
With all the monies we have spent in successive budgets down the years and nothing tangible to show for it than the present we all should be ashamed especially all those who have held public office.
What will it take us to realize that our existence is indeed shameful and requires national mourning. A sober reflection is called for to have Nigerians remember what really matters. National interest MUST remain a common goal for us all as a people.
We MUST compete and MEASURE ourselves with other progressive countries and people across the world.
Politics / Re: Kano IPMAN Directs Members To Sell Fuel At ₦150 Per Litre by ehinja: 11:00am On Aug 06, 2020
Outright laziness of government and the NNPC/DPR to think up a solution. What is governance all about if a problem can persist for over 2 decades and counting.
Why cant we have the refineries 100% functional? Why do we have to continue importation of fuel. Why is there no solution to this constant headache of petrol and its pricing?
There is just so much selfishness going on that it totally leaves one stunned. Why cant we have problem solvers amongst us? Must we continue like this on a way trip to destruction?
Every successive government gives speeches lauding themselves on achievements made but Nigeria remains the same. Who are we fooling.
Politics / Re: Agbakoba, Quakers Differ On China Loan ‘Sovereignty Clause’ by ehinja: 9:43am On Aug 06, 2020
The lack of patriotism shown by succesive government to our nation is really down right disheartening.
How can we not see that we can be so much better as a people.
Nigeria should be a home to all Africans and a source of pride to our kind.
We must wake up all of us and demand better of ourselves and fellow country men. Nobody will fix this country for us but ourselves.

What is done is done as they say. The issue nownis to justify the loan and spending of the said sum borrowed.
The fact that these monies are not interest free should make borrowing and its spending a very serious buisness for our nation as we cant place future generations in predicaments totally unwarranted.
