If the impeachment will make the house better no yawa. But we all know its never about the people who they are respresenting. |
Building flyover when salaries of workers are unpaid. A real misplacement of priorities in my opinion. |
Every successive government have embarrassed us as a nation as long as the issues of infrastructure, education and job creation remain unsolved and the quality of life enjoyed by the average Nigerian is not comparable to what obtains elsewhere. Any past government claiming to have been better is telling a lie. |
Can the Senate ever cut down initial budgeted fund? Must it always be an increase anytime they pass back the budget? When are we going to have structural debate on allocation for Education ,Health and infrastructures. We have been left behind by civilization yet cannot change our way of thinking in governance. |
“When you do a comparative analysis of wages in the North Central geo political zone, Kogi pays the highest and despite that, we have been very faithful,’’ Fanwo said. Imagine who does he want to do the comparative analysis? You are the one trying to convince us show us the so called figures you have that justifies the statement. |
A country where every organisation and individual be it government or private are ripping each other off smh. |
I hope these senators have seen why they should be more concern about the way the country is going and take their roles more seriously. God forbid the intent of these men were more sinister who would have been able to stop them? |
All this excuse by government no be am. The rating is wrong abi? Prove TI wrong by getting to work making processes and parastals more transparent. Prosecute corrupt officials and fix the wrought holding Naija back from progress. |
All the campaign rhetoric for development and things like these remain the same is a shame. Whatever politic party or ideology held by anyone nothing makes this okay. Nigerians must begin to ask for better from our politicians and rulers enough is really enough! |
Some 6 months or more before now the Vice President visited the Murtala Muhammed International airport and right afterwards the government officials that normally will go through peoples luggages just before check in with the intent of asking for money from passengers were asked to leave. I personally experienced a stressed free check in experience as for once one only had to put the luggages on the screening device at the entrance of the departure hall and then straight to the airline check in counters. To my surprise as i was travelling 2 days ago i discovered these officials are back to the old habit of manually going through passengers luggages and demanding for money. Just when we thought we are begining to see something good to say about the passneger travelling experience out of our airports SMH. |
Airport concessions are not suppose to be bad if done properly. There are guidelines if adhered to that will make it a positive move. However the problem like with all past moves by government is the lack of a sincere purpose. Aviation workers are scared of their jobs and livelihood due experiences in the past. When you concession personnel issues is one of the prime issues to be taken into consideration and I will not advise government goes ahead with the plan until the workers fears via a comprehensive discuss is addressed. |
When is the average Nigerian going to understand that it is not about which ethnic group or people is more superior. AREWA, AFENIFERE, IPOB etc have all missed what is glaringly obvious in my opinion. And that is suppose to be our common welfare as a people. Which geographical zone has good infrastructures? Which zone has good schools? Which zone is not suffering from youth unemployment and other basic amenities of life. We form these pressure groups to tear the country apart instead of building it. Why are these groups not giving ultimatum for our roads to be fixed, schools to have desks and teaching materials, pensioners and workers to be paid as at when due, ultimatum for us to have drinkable and clean water and so on. Chasing ibos and southerners from the north and northerners from the south does not change anything. It is not a must Nigeria stays as it is but let it be known that we can do better as a people and a nation break up or not. #letsfightforwhatreallymatters#. |
Marriage is all about COMPROMISES. Being able to meet your partner half way even when you dont feel like it. |
Olusharp:If na FG send her make Buhari or Osibanjo come out come talk am themselves. Government can not do this, Government can not do that which one Government fit do na. Make we just remain without Government that way we know say na OYO. |
CoolFreeday:Well it is because like our leaders a lot of Nigerians want to get rich by any possible means. It is a societal failure sown by poor governance and social upbringing which unfortunately has been exported beyond the shores of our country by our brothers and sisters. We no dey shame again as a people anything goes as long as we make money. Nobody holy pass yes but our own is too much decades ago already. |
Baresywood365:The above narration in a nutshell tells you why when our so call leaders are in office they cannot better the lot of the common man via policies and infrastructures because they do not live like the rest of us or want to live like the rest office. So any money in sight has to be stolen for their own selfish pleasures. |
SolexxBarry:That is why government should scrap the program all together and save us all the bother. |
This government like every other government before it is operating very Nigerian like. The cost Nigerians pay for passport as it is at the moment is twice the official cost anyways. So the question is are those in authority going to claim no knowledge of the current extortion going on? Why not clean up the process before hiking fees. Governance should be better than this unfortunately once again or better to say as always Nigerians are holding the short end of the stick. #A PEOPLE DESERVE THE GOVERNMENT THEY GET# |
This is totally not relevant at all Oga health minister. Wetin happen to bad hospital facilities, doctors going on strike over poor wages and condition of work. We are not lucky o as a people yet as the things our leaders dey carry for head na straw. How many people dey fit chop suya and nkwobi like that sef because they are not really cheap as such. |
Oga you never ready to count Nigerians. If you ready first start with the figures INEC and Banks get in there data base from voters registration and BVN. The come tell us how many Nigerians dey based on that figure first before you go come tell us how best to capture the remaining which will be mostly those under the age of 18 and those without bank accounts. Until then bros this 222Billion is always going to be too much. |
dubemnaija2:People dey always forget say history has a way of repeating itself giving the right circumstances. All we dey see so for naija today na exactly how wahala dey take start o. If Naija goes south I hope them go remember say they all contributed to bringing the country to her knees. It is morally wrong to enjoy opulence at the expense of Nigerians majority of whom are finding it hard to get by. |
If what I read on Nairaland is true about TB Joshua predicting a woman winning the US presidential race. Then I am waiting to hear what he will say now that Trump has won the election. |
ammyluv2002:None taken we try to make sure what they (our kids) watch on YouTube are kids friendly programs. As for the video I have watched it and I think as a parent a child can view it as well as it does not contain lewd scene(s) or lyrics. |
Congrats P Square!! My 5 year old daughter for sure contributed as she has the song on replay on YouTube most of the time. LOL |
woodboi:Very strong words which hold true. With all our brilliant minds, resources and God given talents we still remain as a people progressively inept in the way we relate to one another and things that are our own. In other climes the government of the day will protect an homegrown company or establishment given the multiplier effect it can have and bring to the economy. We have to wake up and get it right as a people and country. Laws should be reviewed, investors encouraged and Nigerians helping fellow Nigerians across board to achieve as we don't have any other country to call our own except Nigeria (at least for the time being). |
EpicMaurice:Let's say the rich have the means to make people believe they are happier. I think happiness comes from a lot more than wealth as riches varies and comes in different packages. |
EpicMaurice:Well if you can confirm that Dangote being the richest man in Nigeria is also the happiest man in Nigeria. Then you will be correct. |
This is the sorry norm amongst our leaders and public office holders. They lie their way to office and while in office at every given opportunity. Never stopping to think about what they are saying and promising. The fact that they always get away with it is probably why it is a way of life for them. chocolateme: |
Onix01:We keep getting them in Nigeria; Masters in public office serving their interest while the people who look up to them bears the brunt. Make them carry on nothing last forever. |
The issue here is who signed in the first place on behalf of the Nigerian government to give Mr.Nnaka 40% of the loot? That person or persons are the real mischief makers and their motive must be understood before anything else. Mr.Nnaka negotiated a contract and whatever was agreed to be paid to him should be paid to him accordingly if he actually fulfilled his own part of the contract. |
Oche211:The sport minister and some officials a couple of months back went to see the facilities in Rio and he did all that without knowing that his athletes are going to need tickets to get to brazil and back? Nigeria is indeed in big trouble. |
Tundecool:Ordinarily you cannot hold a driver's license when you cannot drive as being able to drive is the condition for owning a license in the first place. FRSC should do more in this regard when it comes to issuance of license to only people who can drive and understand road signs because the more unqualified drivers on the road the less safe we all are. |
