An apprentice nurse, Miss Kelechi Nwawaka, 20, has been murdered at Ndiechi Eketube community in Abakaliki Local Government Area of Ebonyi state, with her head, private part and fingers cut off ostensibly for ritual purposes. The headless body was discovered on January 3, 2013, behind Comprehensive Secondary School, Eketube, Enyida Development Centre. The deceased was said to be an apprentice nurse at MCH Hospital, Convent Road, Azuiyiokwu, Abakaliki. A suspect, one Chukwuka Augustine Nweke, who is now on the run, has been declared wanted by the police and the community. Kelechi’s journey to her brutal end started on the New Year day when one of her relatives, Mrs. Margaret Augustine Nweke, invited her to come to eat rice in her house. The deceased reportedly honoured the invitation, and after the tasty meal, they played music and in the night she left for her mother’s house. But while she was leaving Margaret’s house around 10-11 pm, she was accompanied by Margaret’s son and the suspect, Chukwuka Augustine Nweke, aged between 25 and 27, who was alleged to have master-minded the dastardly act. Our correspondent gathered that when Chukwuka, the suspect returned from walking her out, the mother asked him if he had accompanied her to her house and he said no, adding that the deceased asked him to go home that she still had another place to visit that night. The suspect was said to have left his home at Ndiokochi very early in the morning of January 2, 2013 back to Edo State where he resides. Meanwhile the mutilated body of the deceased was later found by a search party comprising men of the Civil Defence Corps and the villagers when her family suspected foul play and raised the alarm. The suspect mother, Margaret, and his younger brother, Chidi, have already been arrested and handed over to Ekumenyi Police Division for further investigation, even as the force has declared a manhunt for the suspect http://talkofnaija.com/index.php/component/noticeboard/noticeboard/girl-beheaded-in-ebonyi--private-parts-missing/52326 |

Ahmedie25: Those that are saying,Niger state has the highest povety rate in 2012,are fools & illiterates, even last year ,Niger state has the lowest poverty ratehaba take an easy |
logica: I actually laughed when I read this rambling with the "cool" emoticon at the end. It's like a mad-man wearing sunshades.FreeGlobe i think Logical is using some economics sense here which you do not understand. logical is so right in his analysis of per capital income which is the correct basis for determining poverty rate. do you know that Nigeria earn more than Ghana, but Nigerians are Poorer than Ghanaians. Definately you guys belong to different school of thought |
Your attempts are not working.I usually wonder why the usual culprits are from these regions ? Have you seen an ibo man engaging in boko haram-related killings in the north ? Have you seen a yoruba man fighting and killing over oil ? Sure kidnappping reigns in the east no doubt about that.Btw,why are you trying so hard to change my opinion about the SE,SS and the North ?
just like rituals and agbero in the SW |
Why is bad news always coming out from SE,SS and the North ? The other day SE was on CNN for kidnapping thanks to Osisikanku,The North is synonymous with terrorism and religious fundamentalism thanks to Boko haram and now,Niger delta becomes a hot spot for Piracy. When you tell them the truth, they will call you tribalist or ban you.Truth is bitter but it must be told.nonsense
guy south na south, North na north. don't try to carve out SW from south |

Cutejay: leave it that way when i am ready i'll change it. Thanks.Tell him to exchange the lady's pic with yours and see his reaction. |
aribisala0: Your comparison remains SUBJECTIVE.It is your opinion and there is no way to distinguish that from another opinion that states the opposite and claims Governor Modu Sheriff is better There are states that are 8 times the size of Akwa Ibom receiving a fraction of what he receives . How can you compare themyou are right, but others should do something in relation to the size of its budget. they should just touch peoples life. shekina |
tbaba1234: Widows and Divorcees go through very difficult times and are stigmatized in our society. An initiative that makes it easier for them to remarry is a good one.Empowerment is the best option. provide soft loans for them or something, what makes you think they will not get separated / divorce agian |
Maxymilliano: Kano – The Kano State Government said it earmarked more than N100 million for the wedding of another batch of 1,000 divorcees and widows scheduled for January. Can you imagine the problem of this people. People will divorce their wife and re-marry them again, i know them very well..very backward and r e t a r t e d |
aribisala0: I don't think it is fair to make comparisons.Akwa Ibom is one of the least contRoversial states and its people are easy to govern. Judging by completed "projects" is not the way to compare DIFFERENT states. Some states NEED projects more than others because they are starting from ZERO and even with all this Uyo still has a lot of catching up to do compare to Calabar or PH.i didnt just sit and write and i am not praising the guy. i am not even from Akwa state, so i am not being biased here. if you remember that akwa ibom was among the states created by abacha and that aside i dont think you have been to that state to say they are least controversial. its still a very controversial place, i tell you cos i have been there and i have family there also. my comparism is base on infrastructural development and human capacity development. though they have a high allocation, thats why i included edo state which have a similar sllocation with any average nigerian states. go to any state in the north apart from sokoto and probably kano, nothing seems to be happening in any form. most northern gov. cannot renovate classrooms not to mention building |
aribisala0: Akpabio has no choice but to do well with every one eyeing his monthly allocation like a hawki have been to that state and was marvel with what the guy did. the good thing is that the development cut across the whole state. Another governor doing exceedingly well is gov. oshiomhole of edo state. on the general terms the SS states are developing far ahead of other states. only lagos is able to meet up with the trend.i am saying this having visited about 27 states in Nigeria and i think the north is seriously lagging behind. |
aribisala0: IBB did a lot more in Abuja why do Nigerians hate him??that is on a federal level |
.
i remember being at this very place when i visited for a month |
babyosisi: I am shocked to read the commentaries from womenThere have never been females in the NDA, untill last year. yes there was no female in ihejirikas classs |

1forall: Didn't Rafa learn that 'you don't change a winning team' from his coaching classes?keep quiet dont fergy rotate for man utd? always looking for whom to blame |
olaezebala: This will be another 8-0 bashing.i thought it will be 7-0 by now? chelsea fans too get mouth, always winning before any game start. anyway see una mouth

lacasa: Endorsed!. |
The problem some Nigerians have is that they have never travelled out so they keep seeing a single page in the book of life and some don't use their internet access to poen their mind and broaden their horizon. USA has majority of it's oil fields in Alaska and very few in California and Texas and yet the over 50 states of this country benefit from it,I'v never heard the US senators talk of derivative formular. They pass bills that will be beneficial to the whole nation. “Yes nobody planted or ever farmed crude oil",it's a natural resources endowed by God.Go and check mineral resources distribution map of any country, you realise, one resources or the other is bestowed on different region. When power generation started in Nigeria, from Dams situated in Northern region, the north never clamour for rationing the megawatts of power generated using any derivative formular. Recently, you own kinsman,Tam David-west revealed how much you'v received using tthis derivative formular(#11.7trillion)and yet there's nothing to show for it.Gov's of the southern region have always been the regular customers of EFCC,due to the large amount they receive with nothing to justify it. It's time we think as a true Nigerian and address issues objectively for our own long term benefit. God bless Nigeria.
stop saying what you don't know...America practice resource control. All the states control the resources within its territory and only pay tax and royalties to the central Government. they are PURE CAPITALIST |
Symphony007: just to luminate you cause i can't bear to see you advertise your stupidy..in nigeria electricity distribution is in the exclusive list, a federal government monopoly. For rivers state to be able to use it's abundant reserve power. The federal government has to let go of it's monopoly. Please do you even know anything at all?
