Jobs/Vacancies / Job Openings For 4000 Unemployed Graduates In IBADAN. by ehixking(m): 9:19pm On Jul 20, 2014
Please share and tell your friends: its urgent and important for Us.

All the meetings we ever tried fixing with any government ministry, agency or departments have seldom been know to have failed but on the contrary the meeting with the bureau of Investment and Public private Partnership of oyo state and the National Association of Unemployed graduates(NAUG), NASME and NASE was a very fruitful one I must say.

The meeting started at about 2.47 pm and was chaired by the Mrs Folakemi Akinleye the Special Adviser to the government on investment and public Private partnership on behalf of the executive governor of Oyo state and also accompanied by Mr Fatoki and the DG. Mr Fijabi.

I won't like to bore you with the long reports from other organisation which took a greater potion of the day but in the end the 10 minutes allotted us was enough for us to steal the show and the SA was really interested in our case.

We gave an insight into our activities and state our demands as follows.

1) Hectares of land for Agricultural purposes and building of farm settlements

2) Provision of capacity building for business management, skills and training.

3) Funds,grants and industrial clusters.

4) Providing business incubation centres to bring in more people into production was suggested by the NASME chairperson chief mrs Adejumo , as a means of creating a crucial point where small and medium scale businesses can take off without the interference of some governments agencies like NAFDAC,SON etc coming after them with demands beyond their capabilities. She made reference to the Agege Business incubation centre and propose we visit the place to better understand its activities and operations.

The SA Mrs Folakemi Akinleye promised the government of Oyo state would give her support to all 4000 unemployed graduates of NAUG in Oyo states and she even mentioned that there are some openings in both the public and private sector she would help fix us into.(At this points you can keep your CVs coming naugnaija@gmail.com)
She mentioned that the old NTC building and the abandoned CBN quarters would be used as the incubation centres, she spoke passionately about our cassava project, since we told her we want to go into cassava production and make Oyo state the largest producer of Garri, starch, flour and all the products of cassava just to mention a few in west Africa and she advised us come up in a couple of weeks with our feasibility outline of our project taking into consideration the value chain of our final products.

A whole lot of issues was deliberated upon which we really can't put into writing.
But most IMPORTANT is the next meeting in Oyo state on the 26th.

PLEASE NOTE THAT TO THESE EFFECTS THERE IS GOING TO BE A CRUCIAL MEETING on the 26th of July at immanuel college primary school, U.I, Ibadan. @ 10 AM prompts please come with your CVs and come along with your friends.

For those outside ibadan if interested send " I am interested to 07030717445 with your 1)Name
2)Qualification
3)Phone number
4)Email address

And be prepared for a general meeting of all NAUG members nation wide in lagos after the Oyo state

HolyHolla: Are All Catholics Going to Hell?
I have often heard Christians of other denominations, including ministers of the gospel, some of who are very reverred in society, say that all Catholics are going to hell. At times, it's quite intriguing to discover that we often generalize matters either positively or negatively, without exception.

Many times, it occurs to me that there are many Catholics who are quite ignorant of the idolatory of the church. At the same time, there are others who know Catholic doctrines are not necessarily biblical in outlook, but still adamantly follow and justify the teachings and practices.

I recently sent a message to a group of nuns called, "The Daughters of St. Paul" for a clarification of their Catholic doctrines on the divinity of the Virgin Mary. I will want to share my communication with them directly.

I asked, "I am currently studying about the Marian cult in Catholic Church. I have been reading much on Mariology, especially as regards the position and role of the Virgin Mary in salvation and intercession for the world. I have read as much that many Mariologists state that Mary should be placed at par with God the Father, Christ and the Holy Ghost in the Trinity. Most of what I have read are often backed by biblical passages by the writers, yet still require more illumination for proper understanding.

"Could you please enlighten me on the Marian theology, please?"

They replied, "In regard to Mary it's important to refer to sources of official Catholic teaching on Mary, such as the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Anyone who would put Mary on a par with the Trinity is actually not following Catholic teaching, for Mary is a creature, not God. But God has given her an important role to play.

"Since this is a large topic and much can be said, I could refer you to the Mary Page at the University of Dayton, which is a gold mine of information about Mary. It is all according to correct Catholic teaching. I hope this will help; when you go there click on the left where it says "About Mary."

God bless you".

They provided this link ( http://campus.udayton.edu/mary/ ).

I took time to read the doctrinal beliefs on the website I was directed to. Apart from the regular Catholic doctrines which are based on church traditions, there were hardly any false doctrines to point people directly to idolatory. In fact, it was specifically stated on the website that many of the doctrinal beliefs and practices are based on church tradition and could not be specifically substantiated by scriptural passages.

Then, I wrote back, "Thanks for your quick response. I really appreciate. I will not want to belabor the topic as I have seen from the references you asked me to check, that most of the dogma about the Virgin Mary are Catholic traditions and not fully Bible based."

From these submissions, I notice that not every Catholic worships Mary. In the same vein, not all Catholics practice the idolatory of bowing down to idols in church or worshipping at the Marian shrines. Even though, some may ignorantly believe and accept wrong doctrines, it may not necessarily translate into condemnation. Even those Pentecostals and other denominations that condemn all Catholics have vestiges of idolatory and extreme forms of wrong doctrines embedded into their beliefs and practices.

Often, some Christian denomination believe that they are the only ones who have experienced the Christian born again experience. On the website of Pauline Sisters, I read a testimony by a nun, Sister Jenny Lynn Pelzel, who described her salvation experience. She had earlier thought that being a Catholic church goer was enough for her to be a true Christian. At the age of 17, she had an encounter with Jesus that made her turn her life completely over to the Lord in an experience usually referred to by Pentecostals and Evangelicals as "born again". Anyone interested could read it at (  www.franciscansisterstor.org/about-us/meet-the-sisters/jenny-lynn-pelzel/ ).

Sometime ago, Pastor Chris Okotie of the Household of God's church was reported to have publicly declared, "All Catholics are going to hell", while preaching a Sunday sermon on his pulpit. However, given the nature of controversies in which the man is usually enmeshed, it came to me as no surprise to hear such statements uttered by him. But come to think of it, this same church from which the man of God condemned all Catholics to hell is well renowned as being filled with congregation who care less to demand accountability from their General Overseer over church and personal matters, but sheepishly follow their leader as if he were a god. What right have such people to condemn others? Unfortunately, this may seem as one of the notable examples, but I see the same thing in virtually all churches, with hardly any exceptions.

This should not come as a surprise too. Reading the first 3 chapters of the book of Revelation, we find analyses of doctrines and practices in the 7 prominent churches in Asia Minor during the time of John the Apostle. Out of the 7, only 3 came out fairly clean and the other 4 were condemned as congregations for outright ungodly beliefs and practices. But there were still individuals in the church congregations that received condemnations, who refused to be tainted with the false doctrines and practices, just as there were some in the churches that were not condemned, who would not be saved at the end because of their individual falsehoods. From this, I have learnt never to condemn any church people as a group or justify any other as a group. Christianity is entirely a matter of personal relationship with God.

The Bible is specific in stating that each individual is saved or condemned by his personal beliefs and actions, not by group beliefs and actions. So, while many people in the Catholic church may not be saved just as in all other churches, many also in the Catholic church would be saved just as in all others. It therefore, behooves on each individual to guard his or her heart jealously and diligently regarding the doctrines they believe and practice and not just follow the group sheepishly.

In the late 70s and very early 80s, there was a group in the Catholic church which was called "Catholic Charismatics". This group sought genuinely to change some of the beliefs and practices in the church at the time and also share Charismatic experiences of Pentecost. At the beginning, they made tremendous impacts until they were later rejected and expelled by the church authorities and replaced with leadership that believe strictly in regular Catholic church dogma.

The same goes for other groups like the Daughters of St. Paul, which I mentioned earlier. When I went through the resources posted by this group on their beliefs and practices, I found some wrong concepts common in Catholic dogma, yet I saw a group of women who really seem to crave to serve God sacrificially and faithfully. I will therefore not want to condemn such people who could even be truer worshippers in spirit and in truth than the Protestant groups that condemn all Catholics.

So, my conclusion is, "Not all Catholics are going to hell and not all Catholics are going to heaven". Similarly, "Not all Protestants will make heaven".

I love your write up because u are one of the few that could take time to do some reaserch to know about the catholic faith and from your write up I perfectly understand you. Am just like you any way but am a catholic but whatever I was taught in church I always take time to ask questions, research and do so many findings..one amazing thing I discorverd is that it is only the catholics that claims that Jesus himself sound the church,2) the bible was written by several authours under the inspiration of the holy spirit but where like anyother books till it was put together buy the church fathers, that's why we can't take away tradition from the church. The church understands the bible and it was until everyone started translating the bible that all these problem starts.
And pls no catholic worships mary we only honor her and ask for her intersection just like we ask pastors to pray for us

slyman-sun:
ideally, christianity is suppose 2 follow the standard laid by the early christians as written in the book of acts and the epistles. The basis of mary being a ''divine'' entity and ''praying 4 sinners'' cannot objectively and critically be established from the Bible. Mary was a mortal being; she died and there was no record of her ressurrecting and becoming divine. Thus telling mary to pray is tantamount to ancestral worship. If mary is the mother of God, who created Mary? And who is the father of God?
Mary is a mortal being yes!
Where in the bible was it written that she died?(Read revelations chapter 12 well and understand)
Catholics only acknoledge the fact that she was the only spotless and Godfearing woman God saw in the whole world to bear his son thru the conception of the holy spirit.
Jesus has the spirit of both man(mary) and God(the holy spirit)
So we can call her the mother of GoD
Career / The Funniest Type Of Employment In Nigeria by ehixking(m): 7:04am On Jan 04, 2014
There is a kind of unemployment common this days- the funniest type of unemployment ever heard in history. Its very funny because its common among "employed" Nigeria civil servants, and I call it Employed Unemployment"......its doesn't have a universal definition but its concept can be described according to the following scenario- A staff gets to work in the morning at 10am,signs in the register, she waits for a while to know if the "Oga" is around.(Mama rita abeg oga don come and immediately she hears-" No oga no dey on sit" she dashes to the market and comes back with shopping bags. She sits for a while, sleeps after the long walk, she wakes up and gossips for another one hour, steps out for launch which would take about another 40minutes and around 1.30 she leaves to pick up her kids from school. She then returns to sign out. And it goes on and on till she eventually retires.....
These are not the kind of jobs that would move Nigeria forward in fact these are the things that cripples the economy when workers have no jobs. They are paid just to show up and leave. This association also preaches productivity, creativity, the ability of people to be innovative and trying to meet the need of people when the need arises.
We started with an undying spirit, a spirit filled with an adrenaline pumping kind of ginger. Let's allow that same spirit to revive us again. We are concerned with liberating ourselves from the shackles of poverty. We have to wrestle constantly with the trap of moral, social, economic, political and religious problems in other to achieve our motives and intentions. This group, this movement, this struggle is a forum for intellectuals to come together and fight graduates unemployment and joblessness among the Nigerian youths in general. So we shouldn't start pointing fingers or start blaming anyone at this stage since we still have a long way to go and so many things to achieve together- and this can't be possible doubting ourselves or throwing shots at one another.
On the 11th of december 2013 I received a text message from a member from Imo state he goes by the name Dr sydney Eze and this is what he sent and I quote.
" Am doubting your legality in helping the Nigerian Graduates, are you a politician that wants numbers?give two people jobs and you will have the whole nigerian youth to yourselves. Be wise"

Another Gabriel from Rivers sent me another text
"Am sure you are doing this for yourself and your family You want GEJ to make you the minister of youth abi
Keep fooling yourself"

One of my mentors prof Vincent Akinyosoye
Better go get a job, buy a car, build a house, marry a wife and raise your children in peace. I can't support this because I don't want to involve myself in activism or unionism

Just to mention a few..........

These are the kind of comments that shouldn't even make us relent till we finally get to the promise land and all we need is your encouragement and support. I check my account balance every other day and I keep getting disappointed( Lol)- am not a politician and don't need an emeritus professor to tell me what's right from wrong. In the spirit of Madiba we shall all get there very soon. And I conclude with this post from a Nairaland member--

ehixking: Letter to the Diasporan Nigerians by the Naijagraduates

Only a foolish man dances in a neighbours party while his house is on fire. Dear brothers- you absconded and feels finally you are free. A rich man amongst a thousand poor men is as poor as a church mice. The Naijagraduates have been shouting about the rate of unemployment in our country yet you all wait and watch for a messiah to come from nowhere!
You are nothing but exports like our fathers cocoa. All you do is send money to your families encouraging them to spend sleepless nights at the UK and US embassies and pay bond of thousand of pounds.
Its time to look inward and take advantage of the environment that God has given to us freely. Finland and Norway are one of the most developed countries in the world because of their human capital. You all go abroad and stay back like the you've finally made it.
Quite a number of experts across the world are Nigerians. You will find them in every field of human endeavour. Recent statistics by the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that about 215,000 medical consultants in the United Kingdom are Nigerians. There are quite other professions too where you find Nigerians excelling. Mandella was hospitalised for months and never was it mentioned that he traveled abroad for treatments. 215000 consultants in the UK alone...if all these can form a group like the Naijagraduates and come back home and request for enabling environment we won't see senators, governors or even presidents travelling abroad for treatment. The world is moving at a very fast pace and Nigeria shouldn't be an exception. No matter the length of time you stay abroad, you must come back home. Has the FG bothered to check out how much money embassies such as the British, American, Dutch, French, South African all make in a year from Nigerians? How many Nigerians, legitimate ones, that apply are given these Visas, how many are denied? are these nations responsible to us or the other way round Whatever happens, home is home. There will come a time when those economies will be tired of you because they would have exploited virtually all your endowments and you are left in the cold. Where do you look up to? Only Nigerians can invest in Nigeria. Nigerians in the diaspora should also join us in this fight against unemployment because they are also part of us and if Nigeria was a better place they won't travel abroad in the first place. We want you all to know this is a clarion call and a service to humanity. God should not be blamed for providing us with all we have to be the most powerful black Nation in the world. Even our government shouldn't be blamed too. Why is it that most of the people that were regarded failures, pass and third class grade graduates here get outside the nation and excel and do much more better..Let's blame ourselves for refusing to ask questions and demand our rights. We are all guilty of celebrating mediocrity, we are satisfied with poor health facilities. We are satisfied with the absence of social welfare packages for citizens, we are satisfied with Godfatherism. We have been trapped in the web of religious and political drama. By now the scales should have fallen off our eyes. We can now see the actualization of the Nigeria of our dreams coming to reality. This association of unemployed Nigerian graduates looks up to the Nigerians in Diaspora to take charge because you are now exposed to how things are done in the world- in transparency and with the citizens in mind of all. Do anything in your capacity to make this dreams of our come true so you also can come back to your children, parents and society. Join us on facebook.com/naugnigeria for further discussion so we can create an Eldorado for all/jobs for all and peace in Nigeria once again.

danjuma_cse: nigerians abroad come back home and contribute to the development of the country. God bless you
Please tell them....at least they know how to cajol the government to provide funds for them.
If only all the doctors abroad come home and tell the president that they want to make Nigeria known for having the best health facilities in Africa it can be Done and if the president doesn't want to hear them then the international community would know the kind of leaders we have in Nigeria..

Mr Knowitall: Exposure and education is what Nigerians need to fix and develop Nigeria. So I believe more Nigerians should travel abroad.

Besides, I dont know why you want people to leave their comfortable lives to go suffer in Nigeria.

The truth is, there is no reason for Nigerians abroad to relocate back to Nigeria, no reason at all. Leave them alone to enjoy

their lives please. Nigerians abroad send billions of dollars every year to their family in Nigeria so why do you want

to be an ingrate? Anyways, I apologize but the burden is on Nigerians in Nigeria to fix the place.
Well said mr.know it all- Let them keep sending money now......so one day they would either come back to pay ransom to kidnappers or come home to bury their people after hungry-angry armed robbers might have played their parts.
Once u are a Nigerian u are a Nigerian no matter how far you travel...this should be a collective effort!!!

Mr Knowitall:

I understand your point but its a persuasive essay. And i know this was a proverb because i collect proverbs and i

have hundreds of African proverbs in my collection. By using this proverb you indirectly called them foolish.

Your aim was to persuade Nigerians abroad to relocate home, so why would you start your introduction with

"a foolish man"? What were you trying to accomplish by that? Then you went and said "you are nothing but

exports like our father". Perhaps you should have at least explained yourself before you started with the insults. Your

essay certainly shows your anger and frustration but it fails to persuade. Nigerians in Nigeria might like it but

Nigerians abroad will just be asking themselves: who the fvck is this guy?
Thanks.....and noted

Mr Knowitall: Your introduction in the letter is very insulting. First you call them foolish, then you proceed to ask them to come back home.

Why would you use a word like that in a persuasive essay? It's very counterproductive.
And why are you only

addressing Nigerian men (dear brothers)? are there no female Nigerians abroad?
Thanks for the observations and
So sorry if I have insulted anyone but note sir/madam.
1)I never call them foolish...the intro is a proverb(only the wise would understand).
2)This is writing, this is art, this is literature in english, this is poetry and if u are know a bit of all these there is something called "peotic lincense".
So many write ups even the bible refers to both the male and the female folks as man! So brother those not necessarily mean just men.
Thanks once again!!

Abeg na where D'banj claim sai e give anything in the first place? Shey na for newspaper or na for Tv?

Firstly D'banj never said he gave you anything.
Secondly, You don't really need to let us know who give and who didn't.

Thirdly, Why are you pinpointing D'banj alone? He snatched your wife?
Fourthly, It wasn't written in Dbanj's destiny to donate to you by force.
Fifthly, What happened to the money other people gave you? Or why e be sai na D'banj money dey give u sleepless night.
Lastly, I've been hearing OJB since I was very young, Why didn't you save enough money during the raining days?

Politics / The Street Is Watching!!!!!????!!!!! by ehixking(m): 8:41pm On Dec 27, 2013
The government shouldn't pretend as if they haven't heard about us!
Nasir El rufai in a message was talking to the president about us...he said a group of graduates have started mobilizing themselves to look for ways of combating
unemployment in Nigeria.
Weeks after this the national budget was forwarded to the National Assembly by the coordinating minister okonjo iwela. But the budget is so filled with mouth watering promises of all sorts which focused more on job creation. Earlier the senate stated that it may not appropriate funds for the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme, SURE-P, in the 2014 Budget, if ministers and heads of agencies involved in the programme fail to appear before it to defend how they have handled projects and funds allocated to the SURE-P in this year’s budget. After the rumor about the 500billion naira sure P money missing. Dr Christopher Kayode the chairman of sure P resigned, and it was senate Vs NNPC and till now its still a mystery how Naira in the bank grew wings.
This is just to remind the government to pay more attention to the faithful implementation of the budget. “Government should ensure that the budget is implemented to the letter. At least they wrote it themselves if not they just successfully triggered the adrenaline which is already pumping in the veins of the naijagradutes and the youths in general.
