Car Talk / Re: Learner's Sign On A Public Transport Service by eiete(f): 6:46pm On May 12, 2013 |
Tee_Seven: @Poster: it is not a crime to be a learner (on private and commercial vehicles) on public roads. There's no surprise to it. I have seen a similar sign on London Transport busses. My thoughts exactly when i saw the post. I wonder what bus he wants the trainee driver to drive and on which road. If he does get the job he is going to be driving a similar bus, and probably plying the same route. Hence he has to familiarize himself with things. This is what is done in developed countries. Not employ someone because he has a drivers license. Instead of applauding such initiatives were drivers are being trained to drive mass public vehicles, he comes here to whine about "dysfunctional level of this society ". I think he should have done a little bit of research before he came on Nairaland and posted such a post. This is how people use their own mouth to talk ill of government without having any knowledge of what they are talking about. 5 Likes |

Chibuebem: you're one of those who discredit the christian faith...its a shame pple think one is a christian just because he goes to church or obeys some rules. Seun has said he is not Christian here on nairaland. So what is your point? |
Nairaland / General / Re: Concerning The Controversial "New" Rules Of Nairaland by eiete(f): 10:36am On May 09, 2013 |
Seun: I would like to correct some misconceptions. Lol! You could have fooled us. If you were trying to 'save Christian lives' as you say, you shouldn't have limited Rule 17 to Muslims only. |
Nairaland / General / Re: Concerning The Controversial "New" Rules Of Nairaland by eiete(f): 10:13am On May 09, 2013 |
7. Don't post anything that could be considered offensive to Islam, especially in the muslim section. Seun may be trying to avoid the frying pan but instead heading straight into fire. He talks about discussing the draft copy with his Mod and super Mods and then subsequently coming up with a final copy. From the go ahead that was given to him, I hope that someone amongst them (MODs) is a lawyer or knows the laws of the Federal Republic Nigeria very well. Because in order to pacify some sections of Nairaland, he may be encroaching on other peoples rights, by discriminating and encouraging discrimination. I do hope for his sake he showed this rules to a qualified lawyer. Because from the reactions and out cry to rule no 17, someone may be offended to the point of reporting the site (Nairaland) to the relevant authorities. |
Religion / Re: Are Churches Encouraging Abortion By Not Wedding Pregnant Brides? by eiete(f): 2:35pm On May 08, 2013 |
Must one wed in the Church? She has broken the rules of the church and gone against the Word of God. If she wants to get married before the baby is due,she should go to a registry and get married, then go to church and have a marriage blessing. It's not a must that one has to be married in church. 3 Likes |

This debate that is going on now, on the rules and regulations; is what should have happened before Seun put it up as "Law" and closed the thread to further discussion. We know he owes the webpage but no man is an island, and it is the nairalanders whose freedom of speech he is trying to limit that make this forum what it is today. I do hope he is reading this and taking note of the areas that needs looking into. |

17. Don't post anything that could be considered offensive to Islam, especially in the muslim section. I think Seun should modify that part of the rules and regulation. If he is going to make a rule about insulting other peoples faith, he should include other religions and he shouldn't limit it to the Muslims only. Or is he waiting for the Christians and people other faiths to go on a rampage before he includes them as-well. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Alex Ferguson Retires As Manchester United Manager by eiete(f): 9:27am On May 08, 2013 |
It has just been confirmed that Sir Alex Ferguson will step down as Manchester United manager at the end of the season after 26 years in charge. "The Scot, 71, has won 38 trophies since taking over from Ron Atkinson on 6 November 1986, including this season's Premier League title. His haul includes 13 titles, two Champions League crowns, five FA Cups and four League Cups. "The decision to retire is one that I have thought a great deal about. It is the right time," Ferguson said. "It was important to me to leave an organisation in the strongest possible shape and I believe I have done so. "The quality of this league winning squad, and the balance of ages within it, bodes well for continued success at the highest level whilst the structure of the youth set-up will ensure that the long-term future of the club remains a bright one. Ferguson, who will take on the dual role of director and ambassador for United, praised the people he felt helped him build the club into one of the biggest in the world. "I must pay tribute to my family, their love and support has been essential," he added."My wife Cathy has been the key figure throughout my career, providing a bedrock of both stability and encouragement. Words are not enough to express what this has meant to me. "As for my players and staff, past and present, I would like to thank them all for a staggering level of professional conduct and dedication that has helped to deliver so many memorable triumphs. Without their contribution the history of this great club would not be as rich." Already Bookmakers have made Everton manager David Moyes odds-on favourite to take over at Old Trafford. The Scot is out of contract in the summer at Goodison Park having delayed talks on a new deal until the end of the season. Next question is who is capable of filling his shoes? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22447018 1 Like |

Matthew 7:15-20 Hmm! Pastors of now days. We don't need the holy spirit to show us who the fake preachers are. Their works & actions speak for them. One by one God is surely exposing them. I wonder what he will say to his member when he/she is having marital issues. 2 Likes |

gonon: Hi guys, I intend going for my Masters in Kingston University, its in Southwest London, in January. The problem I don't know what to take over there. Please I need your advice on whether I should do my shopping here in Nigeria or over there? Secondly, what do I need to take there, from Naija? Thirdly, I intend to cook when I get there, where do I go to get cheap foodstuffs? gonon: Guys, just arrived the UK. The cold is on point. Na so so chicken for everything, fish expensive. Well thank God for everything tho Hello Gonon I was reading this topic in this section when your post caught my attention, because KU used to be my university and I live in the borough of Kingston upon Thames. Firstly i should say welcome to the UK. I hope you are settling in very well and the cold is not too much of a problem for you. Well there are lots of places in South and South East London where you can get African/ nigerian foods. You can also get them cheaply in West Croydon or if you don't want to go that far yet you can get them as well in Tooting. From Kingston town you can get the Bus 57 or 131 that will take you to tooting broadway. If you do need any help just PM. |
