I feel you should continue to avoid him while you can.
Since you know he is in the habit of making advances to you, whenever he ask you to come to his office. Go with your phone and record the s**t.

It's well with you dear.

Na this kind case my bosses dey like wella. With better evidence e go pay through him nose.

Hmmm... thanks a lot

[s]Why not just give Bros ponmo let everybody move on, you stingy girl! angry
[/s]

Except he has extremely gone beyond the line or you have strong evidence to use against him o won't advise you report him to HR, it would do more harm than good to your cause.
Reporting sexual harassment in the office is especially difficult, because there is no judicial system and it is in HR and the company's best interest to make the problem go away, rather than deal with it meaningfully. This is worse if the harasser is the victim's direct supervisor, like in your case. You do not have enough evidence except "He said" "I said" and the table could be turned against you that you were too friendly with everyone so your harrasser can be forgiven for misunderstanding your intentions.

What should you do?

Best to act like it doesn't have an effect whatsoever. Try as much as you can to get over it and continue to avoid him, But do not allow it to affect your work. He would get tired one day and let you be or his eyes will catch some other beautiful jewel and he would forget about you. For instance, if you have to work with this guy then do it.

The day he crosses the line by sexually harassing you physically or making any lewd remark about you is the day you act.

Shey his wife's ponmo af tire him abi he dey find fresh one. Na God go punish am angry

Thanks for this but the point is he has actually crossed the line and that's why I started avoiding him totally but I do not have concrete evidence like a video clip. About two weeks back, he asked me to see him in his office he had an assignment for me. I went there only for him to hug me and try kissing me. I pushed him away politely and he kept trying to touch me. I had no secret camera and there's no cctv cam in his office so I didn't know what to do. Just told him I needed to go back as I had customers waiting to be attended to. He also has an opportunity to sit in and work from several branches he covers but na lie. He will just come and die put in my branch undecided sad
Career / Re: Welcome To My Office [RELOADED] by eipreel(f): 3:58pm On Sep 30, 2017
Davide470 and BlessedGurl thanks. I have actually told him point blank that I'm not interested but he just wouldn't take no for an answer.

Just recently he said "you've been avoiding me abi?I'll show you"
I'm not scared of what he'll write in my appraisal. Matter of fact,i hope not to be there to see the next appraisal outcome.
As regards speaking with HR, the organization is quite large. I don't even know who exactly to speak with as I've heard even top players in HR are not left out as BlessedGurl earlier mentioned.
What I'm confused about is if to expose him and if that won't mean exiting on a bad note if you know what I mean.

Hi guys, anyone had an experience in dealing with sexual harrassments from a superior? My second line manager is really getting on my nerves and I just wish I could kick him in the bolls each time I see him. undecided
Thing is I try as much as possible to avoid him but he seems not to be getting the message.
Does whistle blowing in Nigerian organizations actually work I know my days are numbered there but I need a temporary solution pending when I'll leave.

Bro, it won't happen to you o but I think in case of next time, pls don't make that mistake you just did again except if your previous place was really bad and you were set to go. Talking from experience, these employers can be funny at times. I know someone that was working for Bank A and he has always wanted bank B and has gone through all the process, did medical and as we all know TS should be automatic for anyone that has done medical, he resigned at bank A two weeks to his assumed TS resumption date, he said he thought he could use that time to prepare for his ICAN exams, when the two weeks came, they selected people for TS and told him he has to wait till the next batch which happens to be the next year, surprisingly for him they didn't call him again and after several mails, from an insider he got to know that the MD reduced age of people to go to TS and he is no longer a fit for the position after wasting a whole year for the process, is this fair? Obviously NO, reason I said employers can be funny a times. He lost in both ways and was so frustrated that he wanted to lipsrsealed. Worst your previous employer can say is u pay one month salary and u can agree for them to convert it to a loan for you, they can't tie you down. Just my 1 kobo.
He said he left for something that wouldn't hold him back when it's time for TS which means he isn't idle. My thoughts tho

I work in the funds transfer department of a Nigerian bank. Some very routine and boring stuff I hope I get to move to a more interesting department soon.

I love the fact that I don't get to use my salary for anything personal as the big men get to "drop" when they come for transactions grin

I hate the fact that I have to work with a control officer who is always a pain in the butt every other day sad angry

I love the fact that I work in a city where I can still get home latest 7pm despite working in a bank.

Should I say welcome or goodbye to my office as I hope to leave this bank for another soon

Why not tell him to patch you through to Hr, he may or may not do that but I don't think you have any other option.

If he does patch it through, tell whoever picks you missed a call from them and you thought it might have come from the Hr

That's what I would have done if in your shoes.

They confirm from the Ifa Priest in your village abi?

Lmao...from amadioha ni.

It has been mentioned earlier...there are two slips. the first is just an enrollment certificate while the other contains the NIN. So the first isn't acceptable for a tier 3 account and as someone mentioned earlier, the NIN is verifiable by people who have access just like the drivers' licence and international passport. Where I "come from," compliance does, so all you have to do is send a mail to them and they verify and advise you if the NIN is genuine or not.

My point is, the sterling handler shouldn't have out rightly told the prospect that it isn't acceptable without proper orientation that's why the NIMC handler took it "personal"
Business / Re: NIMC's Response To Sterling Bank On Temporary Slip As Means Of Identification by eipreel(f): 9:38pm On Aug 17, 2017
egoldi01:
The NIMC slip does not have date of birth on it like every other valid means of identification and there is an N.B clause stated on the slip too. The body should rather work on speeding up the release of the permanent cards and retrieve the temporary slips instead is seeking acceptability of its slips. Only the regulatory bodies can expressly advice banks on acceptable valid ID cards - and NIMC is not one of them.
Paragraph 3 of the letter issued by CBN on this stated that the NIN should be confirmed before initiating relationship. Is there any platform on ground for banks to confirn the authenticity of NIN numbers before starting relationship with customers?

Compliance does the confirmation on the bank's behalf.

Hmmmmm.... Are you a banker?

My input was based on knowledge garnered as a data analyst, ma'am.

Okay, your post was apt and correct. The second identity slip with the NIN is acceptable for opening a standard savings account with no restrictions in any bank.
Business / Re: NIMC's Response To Sterling Bank On Temporary Slip As Means Of Identification by eipreel(f): 9:03pm On Aug 17, 2017
moshoodn:

The NIMC Slip can be verified on the NIBSS portal now if you have the authorization.

Most banks now accept it, input the NIN on NIBSS and verify the necessary details.

You easily spot a banker when you see one. Very correct
