They confirm from the Ifa Priest in your village abi?

Lmao...from amadioha ni.

It has been mentioned earlier...there are two slips. the first is just an enrollment certificate while the other contains the NIN. So the first isn't acceptable for a tier 3 account and as someone mentioned earlier, the NIN is verifiable by people who have access just like the drivers' licence and international passport. Where I "come from," compliance does, so all you have to do is send a mail to them and they verify and advise you if the NIN is genuine or not.

My point is, the sterling handler shouldn't have out rightly told the prospect that it isn't acceptable without proper orientation that's why the NIMC handler took it "personal"

egoldi01:
The NIMC slip does not have date of birth on it like every other valid means of identification and there is an N.B clause stated on the slip too. The body should rather work on speeding up the release of the permanent cards and retrieve the temporary slips instead is seeking acceptability of its slips. Only the regulatory bodies can expressly advice banks on acceptable valid ID cards - and NIMC is not one of them.
Paragraph 3 of the letter issued by CBN on this stated that the NIN should be confirmed before initiating relationship. Is there any platform on ground for banks to confirn the authenticity of NIN numbers before starting relationship with customers?

Compliance does the confirmation on the bank's behalf.

Hmmmmm.... Are you a banker?

My input was based on knowledge garnered as a data analyst, ma'am.

Okay, your post was apt and correct. The second identity slip with the NIN is acceptable for opening a standard savings account with no restrictions in any bank.

The NIMC Slip can be verified on the NIBSS portal now if you have the authorization.

Most banks now accept it, input the NIN on NIBSS and verify the necessary details.

You easily spot a banker when you see one. Very correct

Depression is real....and it must not be overlooked. ......Whenever you are depress know very well that you are looking down on urself and the antidote to that is to look up..........take a break and look up into the sky ......release urself from the prison of ur own mind.......The major cause of depression is hopelessness and the antidote for it is to get involved in things that can activate your faith...........Most people who suffer greatly from depression are introverted being because of lack of social contact and their inability to voice their feelings to others because of their loner quality....I am a perfect example of an introverted being.....I love being alone and spend my time reading books....I have a degree in psychology and I have a wholistic understanding of what depression is, because I have personally undergone it and came out of it........Whenever you repress ur emotion tooo much u will be depress......u just need to talk to someone and release urself. .

Perfect description but the question I keep asking is can an extremely introverted being ever overcome this demon? It has always been a come and go thing for me so I have already started seeing it as a part of me.

Easy, the person that sent the cash would have complained to the bank and they'd have released the recipient's number.

Not true. If the sender actually went to his bank to lodge a complaint, the receiving bank will get across to account holder on behalf of the sending bank to get approval to reverse such funds transferred in error. The only way he could have called the lady in question is if he had her contact or knows her before.

@bolded
Actually that's what I hate about the group, all they do is support and hail one another even when they are wrong. A woman posted how she insulted her husband's friend, they hailed her. Another postee how she insulted her ex classmate who asked her on whatsapp if she was married, she replied with heaps and heaps of insults bordering on curses and happily took screenshots to post on fin. The finsters were hailing her but some scolded her that she went to far with the insults. The admin quickly turned off responses. Another came to cry out how she was scammed by a fellow finster who went on to delete her (or his) profile, I was one of the lucky few to see the post because the admin took it down shortly after. That was when I started wondering what this group is really about. Now this one has killed her husband with her nagging, I'm sure some of the finsters will be hailing and praising her that she did right. Seems the admin wants to give impression that the group is about squeaky clean ladies holding hands and singing kumbaya. Too much hypocrisy going on there, I just can't deal.

Spot on ma'am! You speak the truth and you get banned. No you don't have a right to speak...just follow on like a zombie whether right or wrong for fear of getting kicked out undecided what a silly group

I don't think you are entirely correct. One still needs to visit the branch to deposit cash.

The emboldened settles it sire. Apparently, there's no way you can pay cash into an account online but there are other cashless means of funding your account. That's my point!
