deolutolu: You guys are doing a wonderful job. I plan to submit my application soon, I have a degree in mechanical engineering (4.2/5.0). I already got admitted to study a diploma in Aircraft maintenance in red river college. I hope this progression won't affect my purpose of visit? Diploma? Your grade can get you a masters....why diploma? |

willyboss: Please house I need advice on this: My application was refused on PURPOSE OF VISIT because the vo wasn't "convinced" I would leave Canada on completion of my programme. In my application I included my assets and that members of my family are in Nigeria. I am not married. my purposed course of study is in line with my undergraduate degree. how do I CONVINCE the vo that I would leave? I thought I had that covered already. I am so sorry about this! |

Many confirmed that research is no play in Canadian schools on this forum, I am also a testimony to this. Guess what? My supervisor sent me some preliminary designs of what we will be working on and NASA Manuals(422pages) some hours ago. "Hi, Here's some ideas about a hole for the foot to think about. Attached is the NASA standards on body part sizes". I will pretend I did not see it until my TRV is approved. |

Innogee: Good day Gurus, Pls I need your assistance. I applied for student visa on 10th Feb, 2017 and I got a refusal today. I studied Elect \ Elect in HND 2005 with good working experience in Telecoms for 12yrs now. I applied to conestoga college for my PGD to study wireless network infrastructure which is closely related to my course of study and my experience. Although, I have travelled to Ghana in 2009 but I dint include it in my application. Please, I need urgent advise on what next to do as a friend is advising me to try PR.
Reason for refusal : I am not satisfied that you would leave Canada after your study so visa refused on the basis of 1. Travel History 2. Purpose of visit 3. Personal asset and financial status. I am so sorry about that bro! |

Khloepatra3: Hello guys. I need advices please. I got a refusal letter yesterday from my study permit application, reasons being, the vo isn't convinced that I have sufficient funds and purpose of visit. I need advice on how I can tackle both of these reasons. I have no previous degree whatsoever but my waec was in 2012 and I have been working ever since. My tuition is 15kcad but none of it was paid because the uofw said they don't require any deposit. I also applied for UG pharmacy. I plan to reapply and I have decided to pay my tuition in full. My sponsor is my employer and the company's statement of account was submitted for my previous application. In the sponsorship letter he promised to cover my tuition and living expenses. Please I need advice on a possibly more convincing sponsorship letter. Also, can I include a affidavit for the sponsorship letter? Could you please share the following info? 1. When you make the application 2. How many weeks did it take for you to get a reply 3. Intended course of study 4. What work have you been doing since then? |

Martins16: I applied for canada study permit to enable me do my masters at University of Sakatchewan. I had paid the tuition and fees for one year. Later i got this mail from the embassy. Pleass i need advice
Due to currency controls in effect in Nigeria, you must provide one of the following: 1) a letter from a Canadian financial institution stating that the funds necessary for the upcoming academic year* are on deposit in the your name and a bank statement for the Canadian account; 2) a bank draft in convertible currency for the funds necessary for the upcoming academic year* made payable jointly to you and the educational institution; or 3) written assurance from the your bank that the funds necessary for the upcoming academic year* are on deposit as well as written assurance from the Central Bank of Nigeria that you will be permitted to export this amount. *For greater clarity, “funds necessary for the upcoming academic year” means the entire tuition for one academic year plus living expenses ($10,000 CAD for 12 months or, if your course is shorter than 12 months, $833 CAD for each month of study). When did you apply, and when was this message sent? |

Eraytee: U don't have to wait cox ur application could be concluded before the new update of processing time u c after u submitted but put your mind that ur application wud be btw d new updates of processing time as u see it on the website of IRCC Many thanks for the clarification. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Ejaloni123: 11:02am On Apr 26, 2017 |
Austinpee4: YES, any updated processing time applies to all existing and new application. A final decision on your application can be reached WITHIN any processing time displayed by IRCC. Each weekly update shows the MAXIMUM time it took the visa office to process the VOLUME of application during that period.
So it's just a window period to make a decison on each application. A decision could come earlier within this period or later within it or in few cases exceeding the processing times (depending on the circumstance). Thanks |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Ejaloni123: 8:40am On Apr 26, 2017 |
Eraytee: to my best knowledge, the processing time is the time frame for you to hear the outcome of your submitted application, which differs from one applicant to another depending on your case scenario, it all solely rest on who is handling your application (VO). Lol, you did not do justice to my question ooooo. |
