. What did the boy do? Why is he detained? I don't attach emotions to stories. We need details on the offense of the boy before we make comments.
If the committed a crime and he is detained ,the law should take its course. If the boy did not do anything, but reamanded ,it must be totally condemned totally . Please details are needed.Tnere is no room for attention seeking stories which end nowhere!
. Is the plaintiff a party in the Rivers crisis or a political party in Rivers State? It is a frivolous case already which will be struck eventually. With the SoE in Rivers ,the Administrator is empowered to appoint administrators in LGA of the State .
bodmas119: I need someone to explain to me better where is it written in the Bible for men not to be wearing caps when they are inside church.
. The only man taking the lead is mandated in the Bible to uncover his head I Cor 11:4. A man can be in the audience with his cap on his head.He did not sin at all as long as he does not take the lead.
However traditionally men always prefer to remove their caps in churches . It is their choice . They don't sin at all.
. I have been vindicated once again that you cannot use any BVAS rubbish to upturn any INEC results in Nigeria and that PDP presented nothing at the tribunal. Additionally, it is not necessary for INEC APC and the governor to call any witnesses. The onus lies on the appellant to prove his case.
helinues: The reason is simple. Because they don't play their politics right
Take 2023 election for example, while other regions shared their votes with different candidates, The south East people casted 80% of their votes in one basket. For that reason, Orji Kalu missed out as the Senate president
2027 election is approaching yet the Igbo's are still using same tactics of not playing right but would be expecting miracle for whoever they support in 2027.
Hahaha things don't work that way. They way you lay your bed so you shall sleep on it. You can't plant guava and be expecting t harvest Apple
From my observation legal profession is more lucrative in the SS and SE because the rate of crimes there is alarming unlike the SW where many people prefer to be cheated instead of shedding blood all in the name of churches etc How do we explain this? Killing a person like a fowl!
fergie001: On Wednesday, 26th day of March 2025, the House of Representatives passed an additional 42 Constitutional Amendment Bills for second reading.
This makes a total 81 Constitution Amendment Bills passed for second reading this week. These bills have subsequently been referred to the Committee on Review and Constitution for further legislative action.
If you have water running from your tap in Lagos provided by the State Government. Kindly make a video filling a glass cup with that water, I want to see the water you people are drinking. @tokunbo_wahab I am sure you would love this thread! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Is SERAP a party on this matter? The case will be struck out like Dariye vrs Obj in 2006 at the SC when the SC panel struck it out an a technical ground of poor litigation
judewrites: The solemn words "Rest in peace" which are commonly used in referring to the dead originates from the latin prayer "requiescat in pace" meaning "may he or she begin to rest in peace (Amen)".
Unknowingly to many, each time we say "may his or her soul rest in peace" we are actually offering a prayer for the dead which is not biblical. My answer is No! The dead know nothing again! Ec 9 5,. 9-10
The bible never teaches that we should pray for the eternal rest of the dead as some religions do.
Once a person dies, they face judgement from God (Hebrews 9:27) and their fate is sealed eternally in heaven or hell. (Matthew 18:9)
The only prayer we can offer for the dead according to scriptures is the prayer of resurrection. (2 Kings 4:32-35, John 11:43-44, Acts 9: 40-41)
In such cases, divine judgement is suspended and the dead are given another opportunity by God to miraculously live again in fulfillment of their destinies.
We don't pray to God to forgive the sins of the dead or repose/rest their souls.
Offering prayers for the peace of the dead are rooted in heretical beliefs in 'purgatory'_a temporary place of purification until one is fit to enter God's presence.
Personally, I have always doubted the use of "rest in peace", because it's not scriptural to pray for the peace of the dead.
But to we that are alive, what's the meaning of life like Solomon pondered? (Ecclesiastes 1)
The whole essence and meaning of life is to please God; we are purposely created to please Him most especially through faith, praise and worship. (Revelation 4:11)
No matter what you are or have, life is meaningless and miserable outside pleasing God.
To live fulfilling lives on earth and to ultimately make heaven, our lives must be well pleasing to God:
📖 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. — Matthew 3:17
AMINDA: This is what Batists now use in consoling themselves. SDP will only be taking APC's traditional votes away from the APC (especially in the North). In order words, any vote for SDP will be a net minus for APC. Atiku's PDP votes are intact and Obi's LP votes are intact irrespective of party. Elrufai made many Northerners vote APC in 2023 but not anymore. Even Northerners against Elrufai today only chastise him in an "I told you so, but you didn't listen" kinda way. In the end, he'll be treated like the prodigal son who has returned home. The North will unite for a final onslaught on APC.
. Did APC win on Kaduna where Rufai comes from? PDP won. What is your opinion?
. You are a liar You should have become second in the election with LP becoming 3rd .Instead you became distant third.
The aftermath of presidential election awakened Lagos. Both Igbos and Yorubas voted Obi.The keenly contested election made Obi win with a small margin. After the election ,the Igbos all over Lagos began to claim and taunt Yorubas in Lagos that the metropolis belong to them. With their boast about the ownership of Lagos, the Yorubas in Lagos who voted LP turned back and defended their State by voting massively for their son.
DesChyko: A Nigerian took to social media platform, X, to share details of how he was extorted of a sum of ₦260,000 on his way to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
https://x.com/TenmanNoble1/status/1896661034468818980?t=BwMuugKFvI5ypQGk8_u0Wg&s=19
It is disturbing that throughout Nigeria police officers collect money from motorists at their check points. Why is it difficult to stop this practice? Could it be they share the money with their superior officers who send them out as some people claim? Some claim DPOs give returns to ACs who also give to CPs and on like that. Could that be the reason why the police officers on the road collect money from travellers even students for no reasons? What is happening in Nigeria?
we have been been vindicated now that the AC judgement restores all the APC candidates at the Lgs. I hope it has been confirmed now. The judgement is subsisting for now
appliedscience: That the thing...it all aabout the money!!! They all dnt give a Bleep abt people or development..... All cryng about attack on rule of law or robbery on democracy!!! Na all lie
With the autonomy of the LGs, the APC returned officers will operate independently of the State .Their money will be paid into the councils accounts Crisis will continue in Osun with this development State PDP LGS APC
