Drabeey:
At your probe, this is my position ✊

Not today, Fulanis carry daggers since time immemorial. Infact any Fulani without a dagger is like... Why are we just questioning a polity that only metamorphosed ? Why now?

When we can just give the basic training to them, when we can create "lease lands for ranching, on any part of Nigeria, Irrespective your tribe" quick, make it fancy to Fulanis and all other tribes to invest on any part of Nigeria.... Let elites fund their businesses. Strict law to withdraw all weapons and create very quick enforcement and effective judiciary, Abi bawo?

We can only foster unity when everyone knows their boundaries. Some Yorubas will gladly lease lands to Yorubas to create big job opportunities and prosperity through ranching, even make money from other tribes 'who wants to only ranch their ranching' or do other Legalized businesses. This is a win win case if you ask me.

Nigeria can grow when Yorubas and every other tribes, make use of vast land of the North and any other part of Nigeria.
If not for 'Terrorism'. Invest, No wahala, Know your boundary. Lobatan
Then government should intensify security around lives and priorities. In no time, these Foreigners terrorising us will be fished out. When irrespective of your tribe, YOU MUST REGISTER YOUR JOB AS A NIGERIA OR as a FOREIGNER. Well, what do i know

The problem is when we don't put alternatives in place before enforcing policies. Nigeria can for now only pride on been the largest Black gathering. Else? Let's improve on thickness of that thin line. I submit

I love the fact that you have displayed your naitivity and innocence on the Subject of Fulani and their Cattles and have drawn your analysis based on very elementary reasoning. It's either you are being sarcastic or you are part of the FULANISATION agenda grin

Femi Falana was right only if the rulers of this entity called Nigeria are lawful and are not nepotistic like those we have in the helms of affairs. If they were not as useless as they are, Sunday Igboho could be said to be wrong. But in a situation like this where kidnappers are on rampage and the government turns deaf ear to the cries of the populace, Sunday Igboho's statement is on point because our law that states that any tribe can live and aquire properties in any state of Nigeria also gives the citizens the right to defend their lives at the face of danger which the Fulaniheadlessmen are perpetrating.

I hereby declare Femi Falana wrong and Sunday Igboho right.

Court!

I arise.
Thank you, the fact that Femi is only waking up to recognize that law and have not shouted to the high heavens in the face of all this heardsmen wahala until Sunday Igboho's action leaves one with a lot of ponderings....
I have noticed that the man is bored with regular cases...he likes cases where he can be noticed..
This is all about him projecting...I Sabi pass and NOT necessarily about Yzoruba nation IMHO

The campaign of the human rights community is that if you are born in a place, or you have lived for not less than ten years in any part of the country, you should be considered an indigene and be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the so-called indigenes of the state. So, for me, there is no way I can embrace anyone who has given quit notice to any group of people.]

Interesting....and you did not dare spew this rubbish when the Oba Rilwan Akiolu gave his ultimatum to "non indigenes" of Lagos state over Elections and NOT even the carnage and continuos heinous crimes perpretrsted by Fulani heardsmen in that region and across middle belt and southern Nigeria against poor, unsuspecting and innocent Citizens in their own homeland...

Sunday Igboho was only reacting based on the exigencies of the moment....if people like you(and you really like to be heard...you can be annoying too) had pressured the police to look into the killings in that region perhaps they won't have killed all those natives...the Dr from US, the pregnant woman, the rapes, the kidnap of the Oba's Son...and other natives for ransomes...haaaa.....Sor Falana....ema beru Olorun naah.....haba!!
Sunday igboho may not be a learned gentlemen like you, he may not be a SAN like you or as educated not be as polished as you but you can't fault a man PUSHED TO THE WALL!!
I am waiting to hear you condemn the torching of His house by unscrupulous elements since "two wrongs don't make a right" but I am an Engineer...a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers...(FNSE), so mathematically, sometimes the product of two wrongs(-) can make a right(+) because they cancel out....odabo sir!

It keeps getting worse because the foundation is faulty. I'm not holding brief for him. I'm not a fan but, he isn't our only problem. They all are!
I think the thinking here is that he is NOW in the saddle promised to manage security , has the accountability to provide security at least and fulfill one of his biggest campaigning gen promises, so the gentle you are tugging with is also correct to call the present administration to accountability. You talked about foundation but anybody in the saddle should be able to prioritize security amongst many ills plaguing us and take small TRANSPARENT AND EFFICIENT steps to get to the root of the problem after over 5 years on his watch!

Go to the man and tell him to come and see something very important ...and please tell him it's urgent, if he's tying a wrapper don't let him change or wear a boxer...if he's bare feet, don't let him change into shoes, sandals or even have a change of cloths... grin

"Lure" him into your compound and with a straight face ask him to see the damage his irresponsibility has caused you.... grin
Then with another straight face...ask him what he intends to do..... cool

aribisala0:
There is nothing like North

What is the relevance of the percentage Muslim figures you are concocting ? What difference would it make if it was 100% Muslim

The problem with folk like you is duplicity and dishonesty
If Nigeria is to work we must find a way of finding unity which means avoiding division and avoiding supremacist agendas

The issue here is that the Reverend accused Buhari of nepotism and lopsidedness
Is your position that it is false or that it is justified because Muslims are somehow more deserving

Will Buhari's actions help Nigeria unity in the long run?
Is there a realistic scenario in which that domination agenda can work in Nigeria or will it lead to Nigeria becoming a failed state?

Instead of addressing those issues you are talking of who is more Muslim?

Is that the problem of the country just now?

Lagos state indigenes are probably 90% Muslim with virtually all Obas in the state as Muslims. So what?

Why is Lagos more open than Zamfara

No one is engaging you in this competition for numbers . The point is a situation in which the Chief of Army ,police, DSS Customs, Prison, Immigration NDLEA are headed by Northern Muslims will not lead as some of you think to long term Northern muslim dominance. It will lead to the break up of the nation.Just like in Sudan so it will eventually be with Nigeria
Once I saw Aribisala , I knew something smart will come off it. This Wisdom, knowledge and critical thinking is too sophisticated for that fellow you addressed and His stock. It may not surprise you to know that his type of thinking is the overarching or prevailing thinking amongst most (NOT ALL) of the ruling class in the North.
Once you raise an issue that calls for critical thinking and a fine point for national discuss...they will skew it and reduce it to beer parlour arguments like the one by that Aarewa fellow.
Think about this:
1. We ask for a review of our coexistence in this fragile contraption called Nigeria...they will go off tangent and start calling its proponents agents of disunity.
2.We call for restructuring ...they will look for a conspiracy theory that points to plan to attack the north and kill the idea
3. You ask for constitutional national conference, they either scuttle the report or sabotage the effort
4. You ask for return to regionalization with a week centre and strong regions...they'd kick and say the north is the target....

By the way, Egbon, I am not Yoruba , Hausa or Ibo....I am an Ogoja "minority" from Cross Ribers state but I am a proponent for the critical review of our current relationship where some people are holding the shorter end of the stick even when the tree is standing behind the houses of those with the shorter stick...I rest my case

Not surprised. They didn't even EDE to tell inec...this has been on in the north for many, many years.
It's all a northern Agenda to swell votes as usual.
Again I say:
We need to review our unity as a nation immediately and we should be considering in no particular order:
1. A referendum to go our separate ways
2. Restructuring
3. Review of our current political structure and amendment of constitution

There could be more but we are going to implode into another full blown civil war and this time it's going to be across religion, tribe, class etc....it will be bloody... shocked

You have your point. I a democracy you will be spot on but not so with the military. That's why they have officers courtmarshalled and not determine their cases in a civil court. There's a different oath you swear to as a military personnel and you must be well guided especially at such very senior position and also you should be able to demonstrate resilience, competence and intelligence more so when you are in the theatre of war....stress can take its toll but you can't come to the cameras the way he did.....a general that is one phone call away from his boss...trying to pull a media stunt...that was a very poor showing.
