Sufferingboy:*Ndosumili |
Sufferingboy:Which Igbo slaves? You have started talking rubbish again. If anything the slaves in Ndo-Osumili were mostly from Ika. They didn't venture to the other side of the river because there were strong warriors on the other side. Their slaves came from Ika. Where do you think the first meeting for the Bible started from? Where is the first Igbo church in Delta built? Who met King Obi Ossai first? Do you know the meeting with Prince Tchukwuma in 1841? Stick to Ika and stop dabbling in topics you have no idea about. Ndo-Osumili believe they are Igbos 150%. That is the difference between them and other Ukwauanis. Ukwuani and Ika share the same identity crisis. I be Igbo, I be Bini. same with Ukwuani. Ndo-Osumili are the one with a different mentality. Mind you, they are not the poorest, they just have the larger landmass and miles of untouched land. Ika do not really have land. Ika are not richer than Igbos (Enuanis), they might be competing with Ukwuanis though. |
Sufferingboy:Please, an influential youth leader and group admin in one of the largest Ndokwa group is just "anybody"? Correct yourself... it is Ndo-Osumili (you don't even know how to spell what you claim to have knowledge about) I don't think you know them too well... you knowledge is definitely limited. It is Ndo-Osumili that see themselves as superior. They have been for centuries. They have traded with Europeans and other ethnic groups long long before anybody in that vicinity. Igboid, you can lend your voice. I know you know Ndo-Osumili a bit. Either ways, |
ChinenyeN:Embrace your ethnicity once and for all. You have been found out long ago. The way you are quick to champion Ijaw unity and Igbo disintegration is always an interesting thing to witness. You couldn't keep the gimmick long enough. |
omenkaLives:Omenka the Igede goat. All your sisters got pregnant before 15 and your mother's two other children are from other men. Don't you have more personal things to worry about in Igede? Is HIV killing your girls in Igede not enough problem to focus on? |
Zooposki:Sufferingboy is not telling you because it does not fit his Igbophobia. In the past, Ndosumili were very influential in the area. They also see themselves as 100% Igbo. They think the Ukwanis have an identity crisis. In Summary, this is the simple answer well-captured answer from an Ndo-Osumili native.

Wrestling........ Those days. |
Jamesbally:Yawns... Tell your diick receiving father to pay some attention to your mum. Her harlotry is becoming a thing of street legend. |
bomb24:Yeah, It was a big omission... I mean there are so so many. I am glad that many people are coming back to invest to keep the talents in the SE and hunt for talent there. Some group of guys are planning to pump crazy money inside the entertainment sector o. One of them is Mallam Figo eNTERTAINMENT: They are currently collaborating with stars. The SE movie industry is losing its prominence and the talents are leaving for Lagos. They need to keep those talents within the SE. They are also investing in the music industry. One problem I have with the East based Eastern talent is that many of them who are into Afro and mainstream music like rap. e.g Kolaboy, etc. We need more of the likes of Singah, Guchi, Victony, Ckay etc. You do not all have to be Phyno. With these other complementary styles, the Igbo rappers can now thrive. Apart from Phyno. the next mainstream Igbo rapper is blaqbones and he does not rap in Igbo. |
SlyDev:What is Igbo or Yoruba music? Like Flavour? Phyno? is it language or style? umu Obili Igbo? If it is Igbo music, Flavour have been the face of this style of Music and Igbo music is even way more mainstream than any other traditional music. In fact, it is way way ahead, in terms of the mainstream. I think if language and style is the criteria, Igbo gospel leads. What constitutes Yoruba music? is it Fuji? or 9ice? What is the representation? However, you also know that population plays a role. If you stick to your native style, then your audience might be limited. However, some styles are universal too. If you use your language, the song must be good enough for others to embrace. You must consider your population. Do you have the population to blow you to a national or regional star status? The SE and SW have this privilege. In the SS, Igbos and Igboids there have the advantage because they can switch and follow the SS bandwagon. If the song is good, even if they use an Igbo or Igboid dialect and singing in traditional song they gain gain great success from the SE audience who will then spread it everywhere. An example is an Abavo woman (Iron lady) from Delta, she was one of the most successful example because even though she used an Igboid non-mainstream dialect, people could understand her very well and had major success in the SE. |
ThickSharon123:All the talks about the SE being the behind is just pure propaganda and promotions. SE in the mainstream is doing just as good. This list made the front page, some days ago and I I will insert the region of origin. The SE have more representation. Going down the list, they even dominate even way more. These Nigerian songs are currently in the top 10 list of all time as of 31st of December 2021. 1. Burna Boy - On The Low [242 million] 2018 SS 2. Davido - Fall [227 million views] 2017 SW 3 Sinach - Way Maker [189 million] 2015 SE 4. Ckay ft Joeboy & Kuami Eugene - Love Nwantiti [174 million] 2020 SE 5. Burna Boy - Ye [171 million] 2018 SS 6. Tekno - Pana [170 million] 2016 SE 7. Wizkid - Joro [168 million] 2019 SW 8. Ckay - Love Nwantiti (Acoustic) [144 million] 2020 SE 9. Davido - If [142 million] 2017 SW 10. Yemi Alade - Johnny [140 million] 2014 SW/SE The SE also even have great üpromise for the future. So many young talents going mainstream in the future. The babies likes of Guchi (Jennifer, Benzema, scatter my head), Fave (Baby Riddim), Jaywillz (Medicine) AV(Maybe be Delta though) (Big thug boys), Salle (with the promotion), Dai verse (Your body/Cocaine), Singah (no longer up and coming though) are going to even shake things up more next year. They are all SEs. I am not even talking about established up and coming stars. To the topic, the people of the SS who will do great even in the mainstream from the SS are Omah lay, 1da ton, Ajebo hustlers. I like what they are doing from the PH blocks. This is where Burna came from too. The Benin blocks are also churning out stars. The likes of Rema, and that his former partner is doing great. Where is that Viktor guy that did rap in Ishan? Where is Sugarboy the Akwa-ibom guy too? Buju (Akwa-Ibom) is doing great too. The SS igboid have some advantages though. they can be hot within SS, nationally or within the SE. Look at how Mercy Chinwo revived her career by embracing the SE style. |
Sufferingboy:You are not an Igbo man, stop interpreting rubbish. Ikpeazu is a disappointment but that not what his name translates to. |
Nobody is talking about the new format of these corrupt politicians, smuggling their family members into the judiciary. Instead these foooollls are talking about polygamy. There are no laws to stop these? Very bad precedence. These politicians are getting bolder by the day. Now, they can commit fraud and steal, they already have the justice system filled with their corruption. They can afford to rig or annul elections at will, they are also free to steal at will with the protection of the state apparatus. |
Putindbutt:Maybe you will need to check your logic well. Your logic is not clicking quite well. She wrote that she is not impressed with or excited by the airport, which is very much in agreement with what you are saying. What is the problem exactly? |
MufasaLion:Inside New York Street is not all that... looks like a city in decline...however, from pictures, looking at it from afar, it looks great. If I imagine a futuristic city, it will be Japanese cities. There seem to be a difference in Outlook between European cities and American or Asian cities. While Europeans seem to be very very big about conservation and protecting the ancient character of their cities and then new ones to be more "greenwashed", US and Asians seem to be more focused on building technologically futuristic cities. |
SlayerForever:Yes, totally. We gave example of one of the Orus that although still maintained their names and village names but lost the language. Although they still maintain some Igbo cultures. An example is Biseni in Bayelsa. Most of their surnames are still Igbos.. some even understand Igbo and speak but another language dominates the area. Most of them, although with Igbo names and even culture no longer Identify as Igbos or even Oru. I also believe there are difference waves and time of these migration. Some are ancient, while some are relatively not more than 200 years ago. Igboid and Bkayy can shed more light, although they have done in the past. |
SlayerForever:I think in terms of history older than 200 years, little was written on Oru as one group. However, there are evidence pointing towards two Orus. The Oru-Igbo, who are today, Aboh (Delta), Oguta (Imo), Ndoni (Rivers), Orumba (Anambra), Oru west/East (Imo), Onitsha etc. too numerous to mention. There are also Orus who I would say were assimilated into the Ijo culture or language. There were evidence from Baikie and Adams that people from around that area of Aboh, Oguta, exchanged or sojourned towards Brass and Nembe areas and from the way they interrelated, one would doubt if they returned. down the mouth of the Niger and Orashi rivers, one can still see these small villages with Igbo names but with now a different language. However, some of the Orus are also Ijaws, no doubt or now Ijaws or probably were or just an intermixture because of trades or immigration or migration along the rivers. There are many books written on Oru-Igbo culture. See page 7, 8 and 9 https://www.nairaland.com/6897301/notable-ijaw-scholars-history-book/7 @vintagepipes posted a map in a typical Oru-Igbo town in Imo state. You will see even places with names like Okirika, Oru this and Oru that. Those pages I posted were rich with information. |

zikter:My reasons are not far-fetched. The obvious conspiracies. Where was the fire vehicle that was stationed there? Why did it go missing all of a sudden How come there was no fire service throughout the duration. Even ordinary one room apartments, the fireservjve will at least pretend that they cared and would come later... What happened here in a busy place like that? ...and for the ethnicity, I hope you saw the video showing how Ebeano's business was burnt down right? At the end of the day, it is the person at the receiving end feels it the most. |
I feel for all the people who depend on this single business enterprise to survive and to feed their family. That baker who works there to pay for her kids That flour supplier and the driver who will take the goods there These people depend on this to feed their kids What about the security men? The stock people? the graduates? the cashier? What of the suppliers? What of the university student who depends on the proceeds their aunty or uncle is getting from this to survive in school? What of the people who are doing one hustle or the other beside the shopping mall to survive? These are all the people I am really sorry for... These are the people who will really bear the brunt. I guess this is why many politicians, either with stolen or legit money build their investments abroad. It is not because they do not know the importance of reinvesting in the country but they know that their business will be a target. On the other hand, I hope this is not ethnically targeted arson. First, it was Ebeano, now this, all Igbo businesses. I hope the owner insured the shop. |
Cursed terrorists! Most of the North is now like a field of endless cursed land. Instead of the online thugs concentrating on the miserable reality that is their daily life, they will be online constituting a nuisance. I just pity the Northern Christians. |
Sunday2021:Low IQed Baboon. Igbos do want they want to do and however, they want to do it. We do not need cursed jobless online people without a future like you to tell us what to do. Now, go be useful to yourself and your useless family as well and stop constituting a nuisance online. |
DubaiLandLord:You are: 1. Jobless 2. Cursed 3. No direction in life 4. No future 5. Will have no future What you see there is APC self-destruction within the Igbos... It is fun to watch. What is fun to watch again is how you waste your future on Nairaland 247. |
Captain8:I know say them curse you with poverty and suffering already, fact. ...But them curse you with bad belle too? How do you turn this positive message into something sinister? |
Captain8:LOL. I thought IPOB was the ones licking you guys' asses? Na make breeze dey blow make fowl nyash open. |
