She had no shoes on. That's a sign she expected that was going to happen. |
I hope he's arrested for endangering other road users. Such a post will land him in cuffs in saner climes. |
Now you can see how an average Nigerian thinks. |
My neighbor makes the same noise. Damn, loud sex really gets into your head if you're not involved. It totally destabilizes my train of thought. |
He who pays the piper dictates the tune. |
I beg to differ on Efe's supposed humility. His eviction diary session today tells a lot about his true nature. First he's a double faced and selfish individual that can't really be trusted. He has no allegiance to anyone and yet he seems to hold everyone to a standard he's not worthy of. He went against Debbie and her guitar for no sensible reason whatsoever. He was like "Debbie thinks her guitar skills will make her win". Damn, this is from a guy with no apparent artistic skill. Kinda glad big brother sorta called him to order. If this is what street sense is all about then I'm really disappointed. A lot of them had humble and rough backgrounds but he keeps shoving it in our face like that's all there is to life. Pick yourself up and stop bitching about how rough the road was. Anyways, we all see what we see. |
Here's the funny part: your fiancee visited and caused damages to properties worth millions. The police got involved and you eventually got her off the hook. Sadly enough you went ahead and got her pregnant. Now to the stupid part, why on earth should you go and pay her dowry after the behavior she exhibited. I could understand the uncontrollable konji but marrying someone like that is unbelievable. The earlier drama was a bloody red flag. Never take a violent relationship to the stage of marriage. Apparently, some men desire trouble. Just before you quote me: I'm not taking anyone's side because he didn't really explain what led to her destructive behavior. |

Na this guys talk say make I buy jersey last year. |
This is the same DSS that hasn't paraded any of the perpetrators of the Southern Kaduna massacre. |
BB2016:Yes you need to.. |
oluwafemikolade:.. Yes. I was able to come in with it. However, I soaked it in water. |
Priceless200:I'm sorry about the delayed response. It's unlikely me. The last two days has been stressful. PM replied.... |
Hi all. Please, does anyone have an idea of the extra luggage charge for Emirates. I checked online but apparently the rate will be made known at the check-in counter. I've got a number of heavy books and study materials I don't wanna leave behind. Thanks. |
Phoebus:You should contact your school to ask if your health insurance will cover the cost of getting the vaccination at the school health centre. You can save the money if they'll allow that. This submission is based on my personal experience. |
imperiouxx:Thanks for the heads-up. |
Hello all. Just a quick one.... Is Dried tree bark "Agbo" allowed by US Customs? |
LagosismyHome:Hi. So it's best not to padlock the bags right...perdventure they might wanna peep in when one isn't there. |
ridsan4real:Nope, they won't rent an apartment for you nor pay for your utilities. You're entitled to a stipend from which you're expected to get the kind of accommodation that suits your budget. You'll also have to feed and get grocery using the the alloted stipend. Judging from shared experiences, it's often not enough for overly comfy living. You've just got to plan properly and eke out a living. |
uptimidst:Congratulations. Kindly refrain from using derogatory words. The VOs are only doing their job. They don't like dashing out rejections as you've wrongly assumed. |
Walspring:My initial itinerary had two hours layover in Dubai. However, the recent change in Emirate departure time to 17:55 will make me miss my connecting flight in Dubai by two hours. The airline offered flying a day later but that won't work because I already booked an American airline flight for the last leg of my trip. So, I sorta settled for leaving a day early and having 22 hours layover in Dubai thereby maintaining the initial travel plan from Dubai onwards. Emirates agreed to take care of the accommodation. |
Bobority:Hello. Good to know you arrived NM safely. I'll be flying Emirates early August and I'll have a 22 hours layover in Dubai. I wanna know if I have to check out my luggage at Dubai. I'd prefer leaving it with the airline. How did it play out for you? |
SilentPistol:You can go with TAMUk for a semester and thereafter switch to another school. Albeit, I think the Environmental program is moderately well ranked. |
ahahnow:I wasn't asked for any supporting document. Sure, I was ready to show her had it been she asked. |
Late Post: 11:00 AM Slot. Lagos Consulate Status: Approved Duration: 3 – 4 Minutes I started reading from Part 4 and I believe there’s more than enough information for anyone as regards US-Visa Interview. Albeit, it’s important I share this overdue experience. I tried as much as I could to be loud and exude boldness though my heart was pounding very fast (Nervousness is permissible). I was expecting a more private interview zone based on the YouTube videos I watched. Anyway, I practically lost cognizance of the fact that people were listening during the course of the interview. VO: Good Morning Ekofisk: Hello, Good Morning VO: Why are you going to the US? Ekofisk: I’m heading to the US for my masters degree in Petroleum Engineering at TTU. VO: What do you do? Ekofisk: I provide research support for Dr. X (VO Cuts-in) VO: What’s the research about and what’s your role? Ekofisk: Fluid Characterization and EOS modelling of PVT Experiments. My role is to provide research support by reviewing published literatures, software simulation of PVT experiments, Sourcing for PVT data of characterized fluid samples from Niger Delta fields amongst other sundry activities. VO: What’s the field of this research? Ekofisk: Petroleum Engineering VO: Do you have a BSc. Ekofisk: Yes I have a BSc. in Petroleum Engineering VO: What will you do with your degree? Ekofisk: I’ll come back to Nigeria to work as a Petrophysicist or Reservoir Engineer VO: (Stops typing and stares right at me) VO: Is that a smart decision given all the issues…. (I had to cut-in because I knew what she was driving at. It’s either the recent attack on oil installations or the slump in crude oil price. I tackled the latter) Ekofisk: Absolutely, it’s a smart decision. I expect that in 2 years the price of crude will have improved and stabilized. The industry has experienced price slumps through history so I’m not going to make a career decision based on the existing market situation. Also, I can always focus on research and academia. (I was ready to keep on talking but she started typing again so I had to stop.) VO: Who is sponsoring you? Ekofisk: My Guardian….I noticed that she hasn’t looked at the I-20 so I added the fact that I got a scholarship that qualified me for instate tuition. (I didn’t plan to say this). VO: Types for two minutes or thereabout...”Your Visa has been approved. Pick it up in three days”. Ekofisk: Alright, thank you! |
Priceless200:None received. |
mystic70563:That's because the Petroleum Engineering curriculum stops at the crude Export terminal. Truth be told, the refinery business isn't within the scope of Petroleum Engineering. Chemical engineers are better suited to handle the mid-stream portion of the industry. All through my five years in the PE program there was no serious course on refinery operations. |
qhutetomsel:NO, it's not compulsory. |
Kpimp:I see you're trying to use a different approach albeit this new one has a number of errors. First, you'll end up revealing too much and will consequently shoot yourself in the foot. If you've got plans of changing school/course of study, it's best you keep that to yourself. You being interviewed for SWMSU and you're talking about UT Austin. The followup question you envisaged is where the VO will rope you. While it might indeed save you some dough, whose gonna pay for the remaining three years? How will you sustain the supposed cost effectiveness since you've changed schools? I'll suggest you keep your story straight with respect to your school and course of study as you did in your first interview. Your generic response to the third question was probably what turned the VO off. You can say little (1-2 Unique points max.) and still sound convincing. Finally, I don't know how reputable the school is. |
Congratulations @ visa approvals |
It's not mandatory for you to pick up your passport on the third day. DHL holds it for a certain length of time ( a couple of weeks at least...I can't remember the exact duration) before returning the uncollected ones to the consulate. |
