Vanhooijdonk:See ehn when Buhari said Abacha never stole he meant it. Let me explain when a northerner is in power he believes he owns everything( i.e the wealth of the nation) hence Buhari's logic that you can't steal what you own. ![]() Same applies today former president Jonathan stole because he's a southerner but Buhari isn't stealing because he's a northerner. Sense wee not killme ![]() |
iamJ:Let this bad belle of yours end this 2019! Why can't you be happy for people and wish them well. I just don't understand why certain people are so bitter when others find happiness. |
"Nigeria’s bid would have seen games staged in Lagos, Benin City, Asaba and Uyo, but the world football governing body said it has opted for the first jointly hosted tournament in Costa Rica and Panama after an inspection visit to both Concacaf nations as well as further discussions with the two relevant member associations" So northern Nigeria can't boast of a conducive atmosphere to host an event of this magnitude, they always hide under the south and west. Can't they take a cue from their brothers in the UAE? They only come first in negative indices like poverty, religious ethno violence, nepotism, intolerance and other vices. ![]() |
arinzos:On what grounds if I may ask? Do you know in saner climes the schools tumble over each other to admit high performing students? Ground breaking researches and ideas are hatched in the minds of these little ones. We always complain of brain drain in our educational system yet we celebrate mediocrity and shun talents. Imagine what you're saying! SMHID! SMHID - Shaking my head in disgust ![]() |
Such a brilliant girl. If you think scoring 6 A1s is beans, show us your WAEC and NECO results. She should just scout for scholarships in the UK, US she will definitely get something. |
One of the following will take place within the next 24 hrs and subsequently the rest may follow; - DSS invades The Punch newspaper headquarters. - Soldiers lay blockade on the entrance of punch's headquarters and prevents workers from going in. - Buhari's spokesmen will come out to say The Punch newspaper is being used by external forces to turn the masses against Buhari and destabilise his government. - BMO will organise protesters with placards protesting against The Punch and requesting the shutting down of all its newspaper outlets. Interesting times ahead. |
The irony of life..

All I can say is you have a very lucid and vivid imagination. |
Ofemmanu1:Haba bros, e never reach like this. Biko nu We are all in pains forget they voted Buhari. Let's join hands and find a way to solve this mess. |
Slowly but steadily the president is testing the waters of how far he can abuse his office. Somebody should remind him tyrants never end well. |
The dictator you're supporting doesn't give a hoot about you. Keep leaving in denial, it's only a matter of time you'll soon realise you were just a willful tool used to actualise his hidden agenda of coming back to power. Darling Buhari smhAnd that other Suya man I salute your doggedness. ![]() |
post=84670343:What unity? Are we really United? And why must there be violence if a region seeks independence from an unfair system. We hate the east, we don't trust them, we neglect their region, we don't run an all inclusive government yet we expect them to stay in a forced marriage called "one Nigeria". Common man. |
UnitedNigeriaUN:This picture is weird and unsettling. |
Good one lad! The internet never forgets. If not today, one day this recognition will open new doors of pleasant opportunities for you. For the meantime keep perfecting your craft. Bravo! |
" Nigeria’s greatness is not as tied to her elders as it is tied to her youth. That is where our investments should be focused on ” Sadly this government does not understand this. With the unprecedented levels of borrowing one would think Nigeria is in an era of industrial/ technological renaissance but alas! We are only just borrowing to pay salaries and loot the remaining ones. How can you borrow 30 years worth of loans and still not have steady electricity, good roads and infact sef free education. Haba! a major oil producing nation for that matter. I know how much I pay monthly as tax yet there's absolutely nothing to show for it. They are busy crafting new tax schemes to impose on Nigerians even as they are unable to account for all the ones they've been collecting and Nigerians are keeping quiet. ![]() |
"In the Facebook post seen by PREMIUM TIMES, Mr Tijjani, in an apparent reference to the lawmaker who he did not mention by name, said in Hausa, “You know he’s not well educated, as a result of which he doesn’t know how to calculate figures. He said 1230, he later said 1500 and at the ended saying 2000.” This is a clear case of abuse of power. when will Nigerians unite and say enough is enough! |
Elsanchez:Thank you. Tomorrow |
dovestar:Senior Piping Engineer. Which hotel can you recommend? |
Just got invited for structured interview at Total Office Complex at Victoria Island. Can somebody kindly recommend an inexpensive hotel close to the location. |
Akious2k2:Yesterday |

Y'all haven't been to cross River state lately. Ben Ayade is the worst scam of a governor in the entire south South. Remember that pot hole shaped like the Nigerian map its one of Governor Ben Ayade's legacies. Cross Riverians have never had it this bad. There's endless bloodletting in communities over land disputes and he is clueless on what to do. His brother runs the state when he's absent. NOTHING is just working in the state just silent looting and acquiring of properties for himself and his cronies. |
horsepower101:You're right bro. Don't mind our overly religious yet corrupt government. If Mecca was in Nigeria our government will give everybody free visas for hajj. Yet the Saudis no send us anything. Let's build the Nigeria of our dreams and watch the world topple over each other just to get our attention. |
Let's settle this matter in the court of public opinion, right here on this thread. What's your opinion on the new Nairaland look? Hit or miss? A friend said Nairaland looks naaked ![]() For me I'm like mehhh... ![]() Oya keep the comments rolling ![]()

My apologies for the break in communication. I took delivery of the engine and radiator. A wooden crate was used to ensure no damages occurred during the transportation (neat stuff). My mechanic attested to the "soundness" of the Engine, when I told him I bought it online he looked at me like , you mad bro? ![]() Anyways, he did a clean installation. The vehicle is out and has been serving well since. Big thanks to the car tech maestro GAZZUZZ. |
Good one from Don Jazzy, others should be encouraged to speakup. We all can't cower in fear and accept this as a way of life, we are all victims in the hands of bad leadership. The youths are the ones with the power to offset the status quo and herald an era of drastic change. If you doubt me go back in time. The current crop of leaders came into lime light in their twenties and have since then held everyone captive. I for one believe they have outlived their usefulness and are currently mortgaging the future of over 200 million Nigerians with their archaic mindsets, policies and ideologies. I believe in the Nigerian youth. Consider this simple fact the sectors that boost Nigerias image outside are sectors dominated by youths where these old crooks can't influence. E.g the music and movie industry, look at what we have achieved in just 10 years! I support Don Jazzy on this one.#free Sowore! Ps: If you don't have a solution don't become part of the problem. I heard somebody say when DSS come for you and blah common guys! We've allowed them instill ungodly fear in us. This battle first has to be won the hearts and minds of those held captive by years of frustration and hopelessness. Nothing is impossible! |
