Not much differences. The first link is the old system and the second link is the new system. I prefer the old one, as you can use if for multiple application with only one email address. Beside the old system is more user friendly.

Qatar international routes are not affected in anyway as they operate normally,it is only advisable for those traveling to any of those middle east countries as their final destination not to go on Qatar,but going beyond Middle east? your connection is assured

Sure. But I will not recommend Qatar for now. Anything can happen!

Finally my wife Got her passport back yesterday but was refused. We waited in Vain,But its all good. They refused her for one reason,They said she is working since 2009 but she couldn't fill her salary amount nor documents to explain that,So based on that,they didnt believe that she will leave the UK after her visit. She did a very big mistake because they are about to attend a church conference and the church employed an agent to fill their forms for them,.the agent wrote the church society name on the column where they asked how much do u earn monthly or something like that,thereby causing massive rejection for almost all of the applicants. How can he not fill such an important thing in a form. Using agents are the worst thing u can do while applying for a Visa,Now i know why people don't use them at all. I was so surprised by the application outcome,but when i read the rejection letter,i concluded that we caused it. because my wife has a good travel history, she has already used 6 Schengen(German) visas,Traveled to Germany up to 8 times without overstaying her visa for once since 2009 till date & 2 US visas with the last one used for winter holiday last December & its still valid till next year November,. But the agent filled rubbish that caused her the chance for her first UK visa Application. @Justwise,& the Gurus in the house. She is the one handling my Biz with her personal acct & my company account which she is signatory to. She is been paid from our company acct direct to her personal acct every month but without payslip because its our family registered Biz which she is a member of the board of directors in the article of memorandum. So how do i put it to them when next she will reapply again to avoid been refused again. Note, she is not applying anytime soon.

Sorry to hear about the sad outcome of your wife application. Like you right noted, using a dumb agent can be disastrous. With her travel history she won't have any problem on her next application if she can address the issues. Just gather all the nessary documents to show that she is self employed. This will include business registration certificate, tax clearance certificate, MOUs, company bank statement etc. On the other hand, the ECO knows that a lot of applicants now used group church conferences attendance to immigrate into UK. She just unfortunate to be considered in that light. My advise try again next year for a family vacation.

Hello house, I submitted my application on the 6th of June and did my biometric same day got email from Sheffield on the 20th that my application is under consideration and on the 27th got another email from same Sheffield that my application remains under consideration and they apologised for any inconvenience that may have caused me, now my question is it is a visiting visa for 7days and it is supposed to start today although my leave started on the 3rd of July to end on the 28th of July, what should I do since am supposed to travel today should I still wait? And hope this will not cause any negative impact on my application since my travelling date supposed to be today 5th July? But can still travel anytime if granted since I still have plenty days ahead but hope they will say my traveling date has passed. @ ekpotek. Justwise etc pls answer me

Please note that refusal of visa are rarely based on travel date. I had once received my passport with visa a day after my proposed travel date. Just pray you get the visa, you can always used it within the 6 months valid period.

Cheap flight is just a website that pulls data from travel agencies and airline worldwide and display their price for you to choose from. When you make your choice you will be redirected to travel agencies or airline websites. I will avoid Quatar airways because of their problem with some Arab countries.

You your brother in Australia to pay? You can try but I doubt if you will get the visa?

Good job on the work here guys!!! I currently reside in the UK and intend to invite my mum over as i just had a baby. Mum is retired with a monthly pension of around 80k, that means she can't sponsor herself. I intend to send my savings bank statement with £4k+ for her application. She has previously visited UK during my graduation a couple of years back

1.) Do we still need to include her bank statement - to show her monthly income (Does this prove ties to home country?)
2.) Any idea how much the ECO will be looking for as maintenance for 2 months stay?
3.) Are the below list of docs good to go? any other docs to add?
- Mum's monthly statement
- Pension letter/docs to show she's retired
- My bank statement
- Invitation letter from myself
- Rental agreement here in UK
- My payslips
- wifey's payslips

If your mother had visited the UK before as stated, then she has a good immigration record with the UKBA. Just dust up her previous application, use it and update it to reflect her present circumstances and reasons for the visit. Be honest to declare that she will be there for 60 days in the application to help with the your baby.

Well you have to wait until your passport is return. If the visa is issued, you can still make it, if the school confirmed that you can still enroll. If the visa is denied, then try again with the new CAS.

I have two accounts with my bank; a current acct for my salary and a savings acct. I applied for a six months statement for both, but the bank made a mistake by printing one month statement for my current acct.

hope this wont be a problem... also do I fill the checklist now

@ Justwise, Ekpotek and gurus in the house, please I need your advice on the consequences of withdrawal of my tier 4 application.

I applied for my visa application on 18th April 2017 and did my biometrics same day. I had my interview on 20th April 2017.
On 8th May, I got a mail from UKVI that my application wasn't straightforward.
On 19th June home office gave me an impromptu call for another phone interview and interviewed me that same day
On 20th June, home office called me again but I missed their call and they have not called again.
STILL NO DECISION YET
I have tracked my application and decision have not been made even as i am typing this message.
My school enrollment date have passed and from the look of things I have already missed out this June take.
My school have told me to withdraw the application and re apply with the new CAS for September they will be proving me with.
I think I have no option than to withdraw the visa application with the view that the time purpose for the application have passed (which is my enrollment day for studies) and then look forward for September intake.

If your school had advise this. Go ahead and withdraw the application, however, I don't know if your application fee will be refunded after biometric.

Including local transport fare and meals. You cannot spend more 60 pounds per day. So for 6 days will amount to 360 pounds.

I once applied for a 2 year visa in August. Stating i will travel in September. I got the visa, but did not travel in September. I went to the UK twice the next year. Each visit a weeks duration. At the expiration of that 2 year visa. I applied for visa again and was given. The main thing is do not violate visa rules. E.g recourse to work,staying 180 days when u claimed u had a job when u were applying. Someone that has a job cannot stay 180 days in the UK.

Thanks my brother. Applicant for UK visit visa tend to equate the maximum duration of stay with that of USA to be 180 days. Whereas your duration of stay in the USA is determined at POE, which you cannot violate. For instance you can enter the USA on the last date on your visa and still be stamped in for 6 months. However, you won't be allowed into the U.K. if you arrived at POE on the last date of your visa. The rules is if you want to be in the good books of UKBA, stick to your visa term and you will not have problems during renewal.

Your bank statement if you have one
Utility billl of inviting person

Whereas you can't state more than one visit while applying.

A long term visa 2 or 5 years with multiple entry allows the holder to enter the UK multiple times within the duration of the validity of the visa. This means that your visit must always be related to purpose of which you were granted the visa in the first place. Technically, with a long term visa, you can stay up to 180 days. But in practical term this is impossible unless you do not have an economic tie to your home country. To be honest, the UKBA views those who violate their visa term as working illegally in the UK. That's why many people have had their visa revoked at point of entry during subsequent visit by UKBA their mission to the U.K. Is doubtful.

I know there is a specific question that ask about the where about of previous passports. If you have entered stolen. Then you do not need to worry about it.

How about me that have been to the Uk 5 times on a visit visa (with husband & kids) and 1year study visa. During those visits I always stay beyond the duration I normally state during my application, but never overstayed the duration of the visa itself, I have also renewed in the past & got new visas despite this, I just applied for a renewal on June 20. I hope my chances of getting it are high?

Each aplicant and application is decided based on its own merit. The fact that the ECO did not take into account your staying beyong your intended stay will depend on the number of extra days spent and if it is significant enough to be considered as abused of visa term. However, this does not means that everyone will be lucky like you. Beside your immigration and travel history and family ties seems okay for the ECO to overlook this abuse. My advise is that applicants should adhere to the term of their visa approval on their first visit.

I want to sponsor my wife trip to the UK for 2weeks, I want to transfer the funds into her salary account. My question is, can I print her bank statement of account the same day I transfer the funds into her account?

She should get a note from her employer that her pay slip is not available for now.

Transferring fund into your wife account is money lodgement. Submit your bank statement together with that of your wife. Include a covering note explaining to ECO that you are sponsoring the trip.

Did she include the return ticket showing she intend to spend 68 days in her first application where she got the visa? Information of confirmed flight itinerary of applicants after visa approval is not within the purview of UKBA. What they know is the date you enter and depart from the U.K. which they check if it's in consonant with your visa application request. If it deviate substantially it will be a refusal during visa renewal unless you can provide convincing reasons for the overstay.

Yes. Print the picture out on A4 paper preferably in colour. Include a brief description of the picture of where and date it was taken, who are visible in the pictures. If you have others evidences, like WhatsApp and messenger charts history between your aunt and you, print it out also.

Please i need help for my aunt, she applied for uk visa stating shes going to stay for 3 weeks (shes being there several times),she was given visa for 6 months.
she then overstayed so she spent 68 days instead of 21 days .she applied again this year and was refused visa based on this overstay and the fact that she did not add her bank account details(genuine fault on her behalf).

shes grown lean as a result of worrying and sleepless night because in the refusal letter, the entry officer doubts her reasons for travelling this time....what i want to ask if it is possible for her to reapply (she wants to) and how to go about it given this circumstance. shes a government worker..

Well the ECO has clearly stated, the main reason for the refusal. If she want to reapply then she must include a cover letter to explain in details what she was doing in the U.K. for 68 days when she had plan to stay for 21 days. Without addressing this issue, it another refusal. Not adhering to the term of visa approval will always lead to decision such as this.

To prove family relationship you will need photos showing you and your aunt, old and new photos. Evidences of her last visit to Nigeria. Definitely the ECO will call your aunt to ask questions about you. She must be able to convince the ECO that she knows you very very well.

Since you have submitted the application online, there is not much to advise here. Most valuable advice are offered during the filling of the application form. However, from your post your changes will be determined by the supporting documents you intend to submit. May I ask you the following

1. Who is paying for the trip?
2. Are you married?
3. What documents do you have to establish the family relationship with your aunt? Note your aunt sending bank statement, invitation etc does not constitute a relationship

Request from her to sign the letter, scan it and send to you! Anybody can write an unsigned letter.
