My point is that getting a UAE visa is not as strenuous as that of UK, USA, Canada, Australia and other countries with immigration control issues. So the ECO may not view a visit to UAE as a strong travel history since anyone with enough cash can easily get a UAE visa and visit. The truth is that many Nigerian tourist visa applicants uses UAE or SA to 'disvirgin' their passport to accumulate travel history before applying for either a UK, USA, Schengen countries visa or after been refused. The ECO are quite aware of this trick!

UEA entry stamp does not really matter as anyone can visit Dubai if they can afford! The cost of your trip will include air ticket, accommodation, local transport event tickets etc. Since you plan to stay with your cousin, establishing this relationship will be the key to your success. So focus on that aspect.

Hello house, I once applied for a uk visa in 2014 and was invited for interview, but was refused. I learnt it is good to ensure change of circumstances before reapplying.
Thus thought i should share the refusal details on here.

"You have stated that you wish you travel to the UK for sightseeing and will stay the Arora Hotel Heathrow. This in itself leads me to question your intentions as this hotel is next to Heathrow airport and some distance away from the usual tourist sites.
You have given little indication as to how you intend to spend your time, where you intend to travel, what site of interest you intend to visit and why in particular you have chosen the UK for your holiday. I consider it reasonable to expect you to be able to drmonstrate you have some knowledge of your chosen dastination and plans. In the absence of such information it is difficult for me to make any considered judgement as to your true intentions.

I note further you are proposing to spend over 5months of your salary on this trip where you have been unable to credibly explain your reason for travel.

I have therefore refused your application because I am not satisfied, on probabilities, that you meet the requirements."

My people, in my application i stated bout 5 tourist sites to visit, but guess i was expected to state more (inexperience). And I didn't know i was expected to have vast knowledge of where I've never been to. The cost of my trip was about 700k.

Please need you all to help on how to RESPOND to this because in my next application i will like to address the refusal. Thank you.

Note: I will be staying at my cousin's house. This i believe will definitely reduce the cost of my trip as i wont have to pay for hotel.

You refusal was based on the fact that you choose to stay in an hotel that was very far from town and tourist sites. That hotel is normally used by transit passengers and not tourist! The funding issues was secondary, as the ECO have already decided that you do not know where you are going visit. Do you have good travel history to convince the ECO as a frequent tourist in your new application? Did you disclosed that you have a cousin in the UK your last application? To address the refusal letter, simple tell the ECO that you were naive in your last application and that you have now done extensive research on the UK this time around. List the tourist sites, its significance to you and why you love to visit. Draw up an itinerary of you day-to-day schedule in the UK. Above all, try and convince the ECO why you prefer to visit the UK and not the USA or Japan!

You can apply and submitted your documents and biometric in South Africa, since you have a permit to be in that country. For necessary documents go to UKVI website and read the requirement for a Standard Visitor visa; or read backward on this thread. Then come and ask questions on what you do not understand.

Only the ECO can determine your chances. Since your husband is legally based in the UK, UKVI will definitely called him to answers some questions about you and the marriage. If his responses does not tally with what you filled in the online application form or document submitted, it will be automatic refusal! You can apply for the standard visitor visa (family visitor) since you do not have the intention of living in the UK for now.

Thanks for showing interest but u must have missed d point in d writeup dis application is a renewal got previous 6months and 2 yrs after dis is 3rd application for ur information all other visits have been done without knowing any family it's all hotel accommodation all previous documents also submitted dis sis simple tourist renewal just holiday as simple as dat . Remember there was still 1 month visa left on d passport at at d time of reapplying so no need of claiming one want to run away

Sorry i have not missed your point. Also I am not here to judge the decision of the ECO either. For your information, there is nothing like UK visit visa renewal. Every application is treated on it own merit and the applicant ability to justified the need to visit the UK at the point of application, wether with a previous visa approval or not. Since your reason was for vacation, then you shouldn't have rely on previous approvals, as a general visitor circumstances can change anytime. Having 2 previous approval is not an indication you will be approved the next time. I think you were just over confident and made silly mistakes in your application. You can address this issue in your next application with a cover letter explaining the inflow and outflow of your account and pointing to ECO that you have been approved twice previously and you did not violated your visa term. If its an error they will correct it in your next application. If not you still get the same results no matter what you may think or feel about the ECO decision.

ekpotek today make it 7 weeks still haven't hear from them . Mine is general visit going for vacation and my leaves end this week friday.. Hope they won't look at that because they the one delaying and sent me apology email the other time on 27th June that my application remains under consideration

Sorry about the delays. You just need to wait until your passport is return. Since yours is a general visit for vacation (not a most), and the time would have passed, you can still be issued a visa. However, this will depend on your previous travel history if any. The ECO knowing that your leave has expired, due to no fault of yours, will have to rely on you pass travel history either to issue a visa if you merit it or cooked up some refusals reasons to deny you.

Hi sorry for the refusal. In order for us to help you to address this issue. First What was the purpose of your application? General visit, family visit or business visit?

Sure. This is good reason and its understandable that it was not your fault that you did get to attend his graduation. Explain this at POE and you will be fine.

Sure if you have a good reason to visit within the next 6 months. The worst that can happen is that you will be question at point of entry. You just need to have a good reason to visit and you will be okay.

Hi, be very careful of what you fill here as it may be your undoing and refusal. UKVI tend to view knowing someone in the UK as a potential likelihood of the applicant overstaying. However, it is absolutely acceptable to know someone in the UK and not wish to stay or visit them. If you know someone in the UK state so, whether settled or not. You will be required to provide information about their immigration status including their address, e-mail and telephone. If you do not know someone state No. If you are visiting someone in the UK, then it Yes.

The ECO noticed an unusual deposit of 1.2M into your account, without any explanation to the source of this money which is not consonant with your monthly earning. Many time we have advice, applicant not to engage in money lodgement for UK visa application as this will lead to automatic refusal. You may which to reapply but I doubt if the ECO will be convinced even if your provided documentation to justify the source of the money.

Yeah and that is the reason I have provided the objective analysis. Naturally I always advice any Tier 2 applicants to go for a five years Visa. That way you are guaranteed to get your ILR (especially if you in medical profession) and you will be beyond any new immigration rule after you have been in the UK until point of settlement. As long as the parents remain in UK I don't think 10 years will come into play here.
As long as the applicant is willing to spend the money, there is no harm in US delivery and then immigrate into UK but the question is which passport is the child going to loose when faced with being British? Legally you should not hold 3 passports.

We appreciate all the analysis that you have given. However, take no offense, you can have three nationality legally. It all depends on the country. I have a colleague born in the UK to Nigerian parents before 1983 and currently living in the US with three nationality legally (UK, Nigeria, and US). So its indeed possible for child to get three nationality!

Wherever she want to deliver the baby in US, UK or Nigeria is for the poster to decide. The child getting a Tier 2 dependent visa if born outside the UK is guarantee. What guarantees is there that the parents will remain and settled in UK for the child if born in the UK to be eligible for UK citizenship? Having the baby in the US is okay. The child will have US citizenship and can travel to the UK without visa. However, the child will need a visa to stay in the UK beyond 180 days.

Thanks for your reply, the trip took a wrong turn due to Nigerian wahala of placing limit on international transactions could not get a flight that suit my budget so I need to be flexible on my dates of return to get a good price after the training I also attend a leadership course which I have handouts, as prove and this my next trip I will show prove ofbtraning payment and invitation I can't pay 2000£ just to go gain entry at least I left the uk the last time that's what matters I have details this reason in a separate letter

Your chances are very limited. The ECO suspected that you used your previous visa for other purposes and not for the training. Secondly your intention to visit London because you where in Leicester and not able to during your last visit did not convinced the ECO. You are most likely to be denied again unless you can addressed the issues raised by the ECO. What you need to do in your next application is show documentation that you indeed attended the training. This will require a letter from the previous training organizers detailing every aspect and steps of the training and why it took 25 days instead of initial numbers of days applied for. If the training did not last for 25 days, you will need to explain to ECO what businesses you carried out from the remaining number days.

Baby is not yet born. So the unborn child cannot be included in the application now. Apply with existing family members and get into UK and delivery there. Just hold enough fund for child delivery and associated expenses that will arise. If the child is born in the UK, the child will be permitted to stay as long as the parents have valid work permit visas. If you want take this option, I will advise that you read up on rights of a child born in the UK to non-permanent resident parents. Alternatively you can wait to delivery in Nigeria and apply later with the baby to join your husband and kid. Note the UK immigration laws can change anytime, so seize the time now to get into the UK.

on the account in issue, i run a technical partnership business and i do not have absolute authority to the business account even though i own the business. all partners collect salary monthly paid into their different bank accounts.

i also will appreciate your opinion on this, during my last application, i did not declare that i have a registered business name which i eventually use to run and business now. i hope this will not have any issue with this my new application

You can explain to the ECO like you have done here in a cover letter. The important thing is to show the ECO that you have transmitted from employment to self employment and your current business is string for you to return back. It is not a crime not to have disclosed this in your previous application which was successful. It is actually a plus as the length of your business determine its sustainability.

Diferrences? Yes. The queue will be fewer at VI, submission can be completed within 15 minutes, beside you easily get an appoinment date to submit at VI. At Ikeja the place is like a crowd!!

I saw in the website that there is an additional charge to use the VI centre. Please how much is this charge and what is it for?

VI is user pay centre. So you pay to use it, whereas ikeja centre is free. The cost will be added to your application fee when you choose VI centre online.

If you live close to the TLS, I will suggest that you visit them with your collection slip. If your passport is no there, Go to nearest the British High Commission. Buying a ticket just a week to departure will be too expensive. Anyway, that the price you will have to pay.

Now, I am self employed now operating with a business name which I registered before my first uk visa application. I am planning to apply and visit in September. I hope this won't affect me in any way in my new application? since I never mentioned having bus registration in my previous application. Secondly, is it possible to apply without using my business statement of account

How then will you proof your source of income or financial ties to Nigeria, if you failed to disclose your business account. Being self employed is not a crime. You need to package your application to convince the ECO that you will return back after your visit.

TB test is a prerequisite for settlement visa or any visa that permit one to stay beyond 6 months. Taking the test is does compulsory.
