How to apply for US ‘no-interview’ visa renewals in Nigeria. on Punch News. https://punchng.com/how-to-apply-for-us-no-interview-visa-renewals-in-nigeria I have an oversea trip in March 2022 and cannot afford for my passport remain with embassy for 2 months. I will rather wait until after my oversea trip to cancel my appointment of July 2022 and do IW. Than you. |

Like Circa said, it all depends on the individual motives and intentions. I have friends who got US visitors visa, sold their properties in Nigeria and Jappa in US. There is a statistics out there that out of 10 Nigerians entering US with visit visa, 8 do not return. The US immigration knows that their laws have lope holes that enable many visitors to change their status and settled with time. The best they can do under the circumstances is to restrict the number of visitor visa they issue to Nigerian from Nigeria. However the Nija spirit and motivation to emigrate to greener pastures, will force many to also adopt other ways to beat the system. I know of a man and his wife, who went to the US on visit visa, enroll in a school and change status to student visa. On every occasion that I have visited the US, I have been begged to stay back by friends and family with promise of assistance to legalize my stay. The only reason why I have not jappa too is that I am too old to live illegally in another country. Or maybe the Orisha in Nigeria have always pull me back to Nigeria. Note I have renewed my US visa 4 times since 2008 and the current one will expire in November 2020. 3 Likes |

Mikespecialone: If you were born in 1989. Either one of your parent must be British Citizen at that time of your birth to be entitled to British Citizenship. Since your mum wasn’t, then you need to find out from your father if he was a British Citizen at the time of your birth. Your mum can provide this information. You can also find out from your mum which passport did you use to return to Nigeria. I hope this help. 1 Like |

flamesoffire: Best bet is to adopt her officially before she is 18 years. Then you can apply for her British passport from within Nigeria using the adoption papers. She might be refuse a visa now since you do not have a job in the UK to take care of her. This will means a recourse to public fund if visa is approved. Alternatively leave for the UK settled down, get a job are then apply for her to join you later. 1 Like |

Yes you can re apply and address the ECO concern as stated. Also provide proofs that you send her 100K monthly. In the re application package let your sister include a copy of her passport and visa, that she will be traveling with her. The key thing is to explain every inflow into your mum bank account to demonstrate that you send her money regularly for her upkeep. Good luck. |

life4real8691: Many advising you to reapply failed to caution that Nigerian are classified as coming from migrant high risk country. The ECO is simply saying that he expect you to be financial prudent given your disposable income level. A reapplication will not help matter. Reducing the number of days does not matter. What matters is that the ECO view this trip has highly unnecessary and not supported by your current financial ties. Note your current financial ties is not your closing bank balance. The only way out is for the applicant to declare other income valuables. Nobody goes on a vacation to the UK on a budget of N500K unless the person is a frequent traveller and not view as an immigration risk to the UK. My take. 2 Likes |

Monmarri: Dude your cousin sister will definitely have al lot of explanation when she attempts to get a new UK visit visa. Despite the fact that she was allowed into the UK, she will need to convince the ECO when she apply again, what she does in Nigeria that permit her to stay away for 150 days. |

Yuzee: Your success in getting the visa will depend on a lot of things, if you can convince the ECO that your family will return after the visit. Do you and your husband have travel history to A list countries? Have you travel outside the country together. Who will finance the trip etc. Even applying for a visit visa to go and write an exams is not guaranteed. My take is apply to go and take your exams. If successful you can use that leverage to apply for your baby and then your husband in future. 2 Likes |

owo12: Dude this is an abuse of visit visa terms and conditions. The fact that you did not overstay is irrelevant as you had specify in your visa application how long you intended to stay. Staying up to 5 months on each of your visit is not acceptable. It will be difficult for you to get another visit visa, unless you can proof that the reasons for staying that long was medical related. Making a misrepresentation will not help you as your entry and exit from the UK is in UKVI database. If you apply again your application will be flagged and your 15 months stay in the UK will be investigated. My advise is stay away from the UK for at least 2 years, so UKVI does not assume you are living illegally in the UK. 5 Likes |

Seeyat: Sorry I have not read your refusal letter. However, the fact that you did not declare certain income or had acquire additional sources of income between applications is not a base for a refusal. If you have sufficient documentation to proof that the said property belong to you. I will encourage you to re apply and address the issues raised by the ECO. However let your reason for re application by time sensitive and not seen as a desperation. My take. 1 Like |

MamaDe: @MamaDee So happy for you. Your case is worth writing a book. Many here may not know what you went through to get back to the UK. Just to summarize it. MamaDee is a partner to a Nigerian/British Citizen with two kids (British Citizen by birth). She was denied ILR in the UK after the birth of her second son as a single mother. She returned to Nigeria. Applied for a visitor visa twice and was denied. Her partner return to Nigeria and they did Register marriage 2018. I encouraged her to use the EU free movement route back to the UK. She applied for Irish visa as spouse of eu citizen and was denied. Applied for Swedish visa and denied. She appeal the Swedish visa refusal and it failed. As a final attempt I asked her to try Germany, she applied for German visit visa and was given single entry for 10 days. She and her husband with the kids travel in December 2018 and eventually settled in Malta, where she applied and got her 5 year residency permit also known as Article 10 within 3 months. With her Malta residence permit, she then travel to the UK with her kids without a UK visa as spouse of eu Citizen. I was afraid she will be deported back to Malta has she has not spend up to 1 year in Malta. I actually did advise against it. But to the glory of God, she was admitted into the UK without any issue. Her passport was not even stamped meaning she has no restriction to work or remain in the UK. With her Article 10 residency permit she can apply for UK residence card as spouse of eu citizen. MamaDee you’re indeed a strong woman with determination. I wish you the very best as you settled in the UK. 14 Likes |

olamitunposi: 1. Being refused a student visa is not a crime. Therefore you need to disclose all previous visa refusals wether student or not. 2. Your budget is reasonable, but my worries is your monthly salary. How much is your disposable income after subtracting monthly expenses and cash to family member? The rule is not to spend more than twice your disposable income on a holiday. Do you have other sources of income to support your financial ties to Nigeria, like shares, properties? There is no harm with staying with your brother. He will need to send you all the necessary documents (UK passport data page, letter of invitation, copies of utilities bills, evidences to proof relationships if its a family visit visa etc). 3. Your marital status is not relevant. What matters is your ties to Nigeria. Are your ties strong enough to compel you to return back to Nigeria? Is being a Masters student enough to satisfy the ECO that you will leave the UK? 4. You can apply for 2 years, but I would not advise it, since your last UK visa was 6 years ago. Your personal and financial circumstances in Nigeria must have changed significantly. So I would go for 6 months instead. If I may ask what type of UK visa was approved and what was your main reason for the visa in 2013? |
