log should be in most programming languages. sinh, cosh, tanh, you can implement yourself from the formulas, assuming you have the exponential function. See this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperbolic_cosine |
wtf? for what silly reason should one not wear red? |

For the most part, I am not a person obsessed with reforming the Nigerian FG. I figure that there will always be corruption, since it is oil money involved. I think the most important thing is to empower people to make money themselves. And I think electricity does that. With 18 hrs/day of electricity, certain things which one would otherwise import into Nigeria or West Africa more generally, one can make locally... Which is pretty massive and more important than corruption, if you think about it. |
kingoflag: And then tackling Corruption takes a back seat just because of 18hrs of electricity?Well, I didn't grow up here, I grew up in Maryland. But electricity is the gateway to so many things. Job creation, exportation/reduced importation, building a middle class. Corruption is of course still an issue. But truth be told, it is an issue in many reasonably successful countries. And I'm not particularly convinced that Nigerians are intrinsically more corrupt than other people, or the that corruption is wayyy worse than in some other places. Basically, if you solve electricity, a lot of people can earn a living without being dependent on the government. Which will have a massive multiplier throughout the economy. |
lol |
Electricity is one of the most important issues facing Nigeria, if not the most. So if by 2015 there is even 18 hours a day of electricity, I think that should be considered a very significant accomplishment. He'd have my support, anyways. |

HammedSodiqq: He said, “If there are two religions that share the same ancestors, they are Islam and Christianity. These two religions not only share the same prophets, what you say in Quran is what you read in the Holy Bible. If there are two peoples that share same values, they are Muslims and Christians.wtf is this dude smoking ![]() |
Na wa for these people. Free, free, free. How can you ask someone to give you anything of value for free? That is theft. |
Stolen government money, no? |
Is bingo the small, quiet local breed? That one is a useless security dog. |
We had a very sexy english teacher in 11th grade. It was hard enough to pay attention as is. What would us poor students have done if she had instead been naked? We'd have learned nothing.. |
It would be too distracting. How would you pay attention when driving, talking to members of the opposite gender, etc? ![]() |
Such a sexy woman. Why don't I run into single versions of naija chicks like her my age ![]() |
+1 for German Shepherds Even if your dog gets shot by the armed robber, it has given you more warning time than you'd otherwise have had. |

slimming: It will be against the federal character principle to do so.self-preservation principle >>> federal character principle I don't think he should be begrudged for having his guards be people he trusts, yes? |
Btw, as much as some might use a thread like this as an opportunity to bash Nigeria, my sister has found Nigeria better for her career than the US. She worked for a few years at a mediocre, unknown accounting firm in the US. But now has a job with a much better firm in Nigeria. So I think the important thing is to be open to opportunities anywhere in the world, rather than to rule anything out. |
sigh. disappointment |
Depends on a lot of factors. Whether you have legal status, whether you are in school, etc, etc. Hard to generalize. But if one has to generalize, some places abroad can be pretty pleasant and rewarding. |
