1) I'm pretty anti-OBJ. He has worked against mainstream Yoruba interests for a long time now. I'd probably like GEJ more if I didn't perceive him as a OBJ puppet. At times i wonder if OBJ even views himself as Yoruba. . . supposedly his papa is from Onitsha. Maybe he is an Igbo plant 
2) I'm pretty sure that Fashola is clean. In part because Tinubu is there to smash him if he missteps.
3) Tinubu is not clean, but has done his dirt in ways less hamfisted ways than your typical naija politician. Buhari/EFCC can investigate him and will come up nothing. If the US Feds could not lock him up for very likely laundering cocaine money, what hope does Buhari have? Who in Nigeria (or America!) has defeated Tinubu in the court system?  I think he'd be pretty difficult fish to catch. . . unless Buhari wants to get Putin on him.

Hrm. I don't understand why I'm not making sense. EzeUche is saying that it is wrong to support the guy who probably won't get more real, physical votes (correct me if I'm wrong in interpreting your statement!)

Your point is that, "Well, this guy is not responsible for the fake votes he will get." (Again, correct me if I'm wrong.)

How in the world did you arrive at this when none of the candidates(assuming here that the sitting president did not interfere) were responsible for INEC allowing these supposedly under-aged individuals to register to vote in the first place? We read reports of this happening during the voter registration exercise, now you pretend the candidates did it?   

His point is more subtle than that, Kobojunkie. In reality, the population of northern Nigeria is smaller than that of southern Nigeria. W/o the inflated population figures of the north, it is very likely that GEJ could win in a free and fair election (SE+SS + parts of middle belt + some fraction of SW).

So what justification do I have to oppose the guy who actually had more physical people supporting him, not fake votes?

It is really hard to answer that question. I don't like the response I gave, yours, or 10cirenoh's. None of them feel "right" to me.

Hrm. Thinking about it further. . . if GEJ had poked a hole in the northern population figures, then I'd be fine with that. We all know the are fake. But he decided to accept the status quo and set the rules of the game to what they are. So if Buhari gets more "votes", then this was under a collection of rules that GEJ approved of. @MzDarkSkin: No way! 5'0 woman couldn't beat up my dog, not to talk of a seven footer. If a guy is 7'0, then he likely has around a 7'0 wingspan (smaller if asian or white, longer if black.) Women otoh tend to have short arms. . . her wingspan is likely to be like 4'10, 4'9 or something.

It becomes harder to win fights the bigger the wingspan disparity. The 7 footer is probably 240 pounds, she is probably 120. So he weighs twice as much, has a 2 foot+ wingspan advantage too  

Only way that woman stands a chance is if she has a gun. Not even a knife/pepper spray would be enough to not get badly beaten, probably killed.

Hell, I'd get beaten within an inch of my life by your average 7 footer. . . and I'm 6'1, 215 with a 6'6 wingspan. 5'0 woman wouldn't even last 10 seconds before she gets knocked out. I'd last 15 or 20. I'd only give myself 30% odds even with a knife.

Like to me a fair fight would be:

5'8, 130 pound nonathletic sort of guy

6'3, 170 pound female athlete

Even then, i'd likely bet on the guy. Make the chick 180 and then I'll call it fair.

Regarding middle belt, what do you mean by "well"? What would drive economic growth there? Remember, you'd have lost substantial revenue in FG allocations (essentially oil money from the SS). How do you replace that revenue to even just maintain the status quo?
