codedguy1:Nani is talented/skillful with limits. For instance, he cannot head. His shot accuracy is like 30% (compared to Ronaldo, Robben, Messi, etc with 70% and above). Nani has no great pass. He is behind Giggs in crossing. But Nani is great at short dribbling, zigzaging, speed-stop-break movement and pace. So Nani is very skillful in some areas while lacking the required skills in other key footballing areas, hence his lack of consistency to be a world class. |
raumdeuter:Ronaldo is far more talented footballer. At 33 Quaresma is working hard to be what Ronaldo was at 19. Quaresma sabi play ball na he no dey play for Madrid or Barca? When you look at the different attribute that makes one a talented footballer, you see that Ronaldo is far far ahead right from his teenage days. Shooting accuracy, heading accuracy, goal scoring techniques, forward dribbling and running, positioning, etc If you take one item, like dribbling round and round or ball jogling, even Jajay Okocha fit beat Messi. |
Brownbarbie97:Men ask for numbers for different reasons. Some men want to marry, some want a relationship, some want friendship, and some want just a date. It is left for you to classify people who approach you. You might give your number or contact initially, after sometime you define the kind of relationship irrespective of what the person wants. |
eph12:Skill and Talent = the same thing in this context. But consistency is a different thing. If you had said the difference between Ahmed Musa and Messi is skills, I wouldn't have argued. |
eph12:It's about talent, not consistency. If you are talented, consistency becomes a norm. Do you think Roger Federer is talented or consistent? It is people who are not talented that show occasional brilliance. The fact that the talent is lacking means that they wouldn't get it right often. Take for instance, Lampard and Gerald have the talent for accurate shots from outside the box, but that doesn't mean Carrick cannot hit a superb shot into the net once in two-three seasons. The difference is talent, not consistency. Or Scholes and Pirlo will get their long passes to wingers accurately well over 90% of the time, they even do it in a sexy/fancy way. That's talent. But it doesn't mean that Kante or Fernadinho will not throw such a long pass once in a while. The difference in consistency is the talent for long pass. Berbatov will magnet the ball from a pass with his foot almost all the time. That is talent. Rashford will magnet the ball once in many attempts because he doesn't have such a ball trapping talent. |
weedtaker:No be by force to turn analyst. |
eph12:The difference between Ahmed Musa and Messi is talent. When you have the talent you don't force it or be getting it right once in while by luck. |
raumdeuter:In what aspect? Aguero keeps the ball and bring others into play even better than Iheanacho. Aguero is more likely to win a 50-50 ball over a defender and guides it until he finds his team mate. |
Gyalchester:A coach works with the players at his disposal. Mourinho has worked with Benzema and Milito whose hold up are below Suarez's. But you hardly noticed. We are simply working towards the strength of our striker, and in the EPL hold up play is very important for a striker. Go back to when Rooney was used as false 9 and Tevez played in middle of three forwards. A striker should be able to jump for and control balls coming out of defence. Rashford is not doing these things. On your last paragraph, we played Mkhitaryan behind Ibrahimovic for 35 minutes yesterday. We also started him behind Rashford in the previous match. Do you imply Mkhitaryan doesn't have sense? |
preshdiva:Is the school a private school or a public school? Go for the bank job if the school is privately owned. Remember in the bank you can work your way from being a contract staff to permanent staff later, and there is no limit to which you can earn. You could earn 300k in no time when you are a permanent staff in the bank, and there is no limit from there based on promotions. You can gain two years experience in one bank, then you apply to another for permanent job. Remember, if you don't enter the banking industry now at your young age, you will never enter again once you clock 28 years. But if the school is a public one, then you have a tough decision to make. |
Gyalchester:Suarez has hold up play. Same with Benzema, even our Martial had that until he was made a winger. Rashford has zero hold up play. A striker should be able to contest balls with defenders, win and retain the ball while bringing the midfielder into play. |
eph12:Pogba has helped us with long balls from the deep. There was this match he provided a long ball for Zlatan to nod down for Martial to score a late equalizer, then Pogba scored the late winner himself. There are such instances here and there. |
SIRcumalot:I think Mourinho is to blame on Martial and Mkhitaryan. He has given them unnecessary competitions instead of playing them week in week out to boost their confidence. Mkhitaryan and Martial should be regular starters. |
weedtaker:We are talking about facts in statistical form, not just talking like the bear palour people. When you say conversion is our problem, did you put it in scientistifical form? How does it compare with last season? What are we not doing well in scoring as compared to last season? |
.
|
I saw a stat two days ago, last season we were first in chances conversion rate. This season we are seventeenth. We create more chances this season, but we fail to convert them. |
Herrera should have been the one to score the first goal. His shot that hit the crossbar should have been an easy goal if he were more accurate and composed. Finishing is our major problem. He didnt have to hit it too high. |
eph12:Pogba's own is understandable, he was trying to catch the defence unaware, something that has worked for him this season. |
Oasis007:What of Marshall? Not only English players. Even in Laliga, some players shine and fade before they get to 25. |
Gyalchester:This season he is doing better as a winger than a forward. He has a long way to go as a striker. Just compare how Ibrahimovic contest for long balls and helping us with a good hold on play. Rashford would have allowed Jagielka and co easy regain of possession for every long ball played out by our defence |
Nihilist:The team is under construction, there has to proper fixing and fitting |
SIRcumalot:They lob the ball because of the kind of players we have supplying and receiving it. This is why I said we need players who can do dribbling in tight areas. If we had a Nani of 2011, and Chicharito of those years, we would be winning 80% of our matches. No one to break a defender's waist with tricks, and no one to pounce on loose ball in the box. When you have Felliani and Ibrahimovic in the box, and Ashley Young and Lingard supplying, what else do you expect other than long balls. |
We are two or three players away from reaching the highest level. All teams playing against us just park the bus. We need forwards players who have good close control that can dribble their way through a tight defence. Rashford thinks football is just about forward runs. |
We should let DeGea go next time Madrid comes for him. His set piece/aerial balls ability is zero. Tonight alone he failed to deal with aerial balls twice within a few minutes and the second led to a goal. Even average Romero would have taken that ball in the air before Jagielka and Rojo battled for it. This has been DeGea weak point all his career, but his super saves from shots covers for him. In the EPL, a goalkeeper can save a team from conceding cheap goals from set plays and win valuable points. |
Babacele:Nothing to appeal because it was the prosecutor that withdrew the case. It could mean that they withdrew the case after both parties reached an agreement behind the scene. It could mean they want to refile a fresh case. It could mean they realised the man did not actually steal, or he has volunteered to return the money. |
The prosecutor withdrew the case, not that judgement was given. In my understanding, the accused can only sue if judgement was given, and he got discharged and acquitted in the final judgement of a case. I stand to be corrected though. |
SIRcumalot:E don tey wey we play Liverpool na Fellaini is most likely to score from crossing. I don't know what Ibrahimovic does these days. Pogba could get his head on the ball and fail to direct it. |
SIRcumalot:When last did they score from a cross? Moreover we had Fellaini on the field. |
We took four points from two games without Pogba and Ibrahimovic, which is even more than the 1. 89 points average point we have taken per game this season. Pogba and Ibrahimovic add more quality but there is no guarantee we would have won the match with them. I think we even missed Herrera more. We missed three starters, and we were able to restrict West Bromwich from going forward, we know they are hard to stop from playing offensive and causing some trouble. They took just three shots against 11 which is their average. Possession was 75-25 in our favour. Our boys tried it is just that our boys lacked experience on how to breakdown a team parking the bus. |

Maximus85:That phone conversation was the real truth. I guess she didn’t know she was being recorded. |
babytoun:Very correct. I observed it too. However, even if they asked her, she wouldn't have said the truth because this woman is scared. |
