I said it, that we needed to win this and our next game against West Brom, and everyone begins to believe we will finish top four. Now we are just four points behind Arsenal. If we can get Smalling and Jones as our CB in the remaining games of the season, then we are sure of finishing top four. We have Rojo and Darmian back. Varela is playing well, particularly going forward. We need to continue Schneirderlin and Herrera in midfield. |

I saw this: United squad v Watford: De Gea, Romero, Darmian, Varela, Poole, Blind, Riley, Rojo, Fosu-Mensah, Rothwell, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Mata, Lingard, Memphis, Weir, Rashford, Martial. Where is Smalling? I think I currently prefer Varela to Darmian. |

If we beat Watford today, many will begin to concern themselves more with finishing top 4 than worrying about Chelsea catching us. We also have 5 players ready to return from injuries almost at same time. We need to win our next two matches and it's game on for top four. I sounded the Chelsea alarm in December. However, we should concentrate on finishing top four. It's still very doable. |

Rashford should continue as a centre forward until he is seen obviously struggling. Then Martial can move there. Rashford looks like a natural centre forward. The only problem I see is his lack of contest for long balls from our defence into final third. He allows the defenders to take them freely. But everything else is okay. Varela is another player I would like to see have a run of games to test his consistency. That Mensah that looks like Michael Essien might just bring a physical balance to the team. But I prefer Rojo there 100% Lingard played very well. It's a hard choice for the coach when Martial, Mephis, Lingard and Januzaj are all fit to start. We know Martial must start though. |

dubylhover:Schneirderlin and Herrera have protected the defence very well in the last two games. They won tackles and intercepted everywhere on the pitch. Herrera dispossessed Walcot to start the build up to our first goal. Schneirderlin made a lot of clearances as well. |

Our 4-1-4-1 formation got Arsenal really confused yesterday. Kudos to Schneirderlin who played the DM role. He did marvelously well. Herrera's tackling ability and mobility also helped. If we are to be sincere to ourselves, we have to stick with this midfield for a while. Carrick and Fellaini shouldn't be rushed back to that midfield. |
