Nihilist:I have not rally paid attention to Oliseh yet. |
The end is near. Financial woes coming. Repent and avoid the Antichrist world. Argument is vanity. Back to my spiritual retreat in the wilderness. No more football viewing. Although I saw in a vision some flashes of United match, Martial 5.9ft only, has a great aerial ability in bringing down long balls from United defence for team mates. What a catch by Gaal. The ease at which he beats defenders..... No. Not tempted to discuss football. Back to prayers.

FOOTBALL: Manchester United legend Keane praises 'brilliant' tackle that ended Shaw's season Yahoo Sport UK Mark Lawford 4 hours ago "It was a brilliant challenge. I love the physical side of the game." “You can always tell by the players' reactions - they are the best judges as they are near the tackle. They didn't think it was a bad challenge at the time. "When players are travelling at great speed then (injuries) are always going to happen. I am surprised there’s not more. It was an accident with his trailing foot.” https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/manchester-united-legend-keane-praises--brilliant--tackle-that-ended-shaw-s-season-143706855.html .... and United were angry UEFA named him MOTM. |
Chelseafan1:Did Zenith not beat PSV 3-0, and 4-0 aggregate? I am very sure this Brugges will beat Napoli in the return leg. |
Why won't I promote him when you won't allow one day pass without bringing him down? Anyway see you guys on Sunday. ![]() |
In the knockout of Europa 2014/15, Brugges won home and away with 6-1 aggregate. In the quarter final they won comprehensively against a team that beat Spurs and Liverpool. They beat Besitkas home and away comprehensively, 5-2 aggregate. In the UCL play off this season before meeting United, they beat Panathinaikos 3-0 at home to stretch their home unbeaten record to ten matches. Club Brugges only lost to eventual finalist, Dnipro, only by one goal. 0-1 aggregate. This mean Club Brugges conceded only 6 goals in 12 matches in Europa cup. Then in same competition, PSV conceded 12 goals in 8 matches. PSV conceded 3 goals against Panathinaikos last season, and Club Brugges conceded only two goals against them. Which defence is stronger? |
RuuDie, So Bayern Leverkusen that David Moyes beat 5-0 in Germany is a stronger team than Manchester United according to your rating. ![]() I beg anyone supporting you must be a drunkard.
|
Dadehmola:Liverpool was an embarrassment and Spurs too an embarrassment? You are the one who say ridiculous things. The facts are there for your to see. Brugges has a better defence than PSV and also a better team in Europe. Just as Basel became a strong team in Europe. |
adebayo201:If you put sentiments aside, you wouldn't look far before you will see that Brugges has a better defence and far a better team than PSV in Europe. Brugges defence is particularly strong in their home soil. Smalling and Luke Shaw could have registered great goals against PSV. |
chrisley024:This is a one off situation and even a local stuff. We are looking at current thread in Europe. |
Brugges conceded more goals only because Rooney destroyed them. Brugges is a thousand times better than PSV in Europe
|
RuuDie:Club ranking is nonsense. We are talking of current strength of teams in international stage not local Champions. Brugges beat Besitkas, a team that beat Tottenham and Liverpool. They conceded only two goals in the group stage of 6 matches. Finished top ahead of Torino, the Torino that dumped Bilbao out in the knockout phase. Brugges won their UCL qualifying draw comprehensively before United beat them. |
iheanyi40:I am looking at the long run. |
Is it that the coaches don't see what we see? Ashley Young repeats his mistakes in every match. He doesn't look up before he crosses the ball. He spoils his good work with his poor final balls. |
nyabinghi:Manchester United ought to bail EPL out in Europe this season. The whole England are hoping on us to do them proud again. Quarter final is the minimum we can take from Van Gaal, Rooney, Carrick, Schwesteiger and the boys. We have no excuse on losing at PSV. And we have to top our group. |
nyabinghi:Shaw is a young player, so he would ordinarily run and run without caution as long as it fetched him praises. After the injury he would adjust his game and run more matuerly. He wanted to do what Gareth Bale was doing for Spurs when he first hit the stage. When he got into the box, the only thing on his mind was to finish it off and get the accolades. A striker would have dodged that tackle and appeal for a penalty. Without Shaw, Jones should pair Smalling in the central defence. We then push up the defence line closer to attack so that Blind can join Depay/Young on the left attack with intelligent exchange of passes. Jones easily covers for his left back. Jones and Smalling have impressive results since they started pairing in early part of 2011/2012 season. Their matches usually have us scoring plenty of goals because of their high line defence. Last season they did not lose a match. This is time to allow them to perfect their game and understanding. This season. |
RuuDie: You no know ball. Brugges is a thousand times stronger on current form. Both went into Europa last season and Brugges did very well. Brugges were unbeaten at home in ten matches before we met them. They hardly concede goals. They beat Besitkas which eliminated Liverpool. Brugges got to quarter final in the Europa. PSV has a very porous defence. See their performance in Europa last season, PSV were shyte.
|
RuuDie:It's not by league. Are EPL teams not losing to teams from unknown leagues? Teams from Turkey, Russia, Ukraine etc? PSV were desperately poor yesterday. |
Nihilist:What is this about? |
Here, Sterling was going to end Valencia`s career but he jumped. Ronaldo usually jump too. Same with Rooney.
|
.
|
If Shaw had jumped and referee awarded a penalty for evasive action, people who didn't know football would have said diving diving, ojoro ojoro. |
iykmora:Gaal said Shaw cried and cried in the dressing room. He is going to miss so much.
|
Players with speed are usually prone to these kind of injuries. What keep some players safer is the ability to sense danger and jump up. With that the injury would be avoided. Awareness of things around you as you run with the ball is important. When a dangerous tackle catches ones leg (firmly) on the ground if it doesn't result in a serious injury then a miracle had taken place. |
SIRcumalot:That Shaw's injury....... I just hate everything about football right now. It's a massive loss for us this season. In defence, he adds height and area ability. He makes Blind's lack of pace and area prowess less noticeable. One of the problems that plagued us since Vidic and Ferdinand left and which we appeared to have finally solved is dealing with set pieces and crosses . With Shaw gone, we are weakened in that aspect of the game again. Shaw had no problem being the last man in our defence from opposition counter attacks. His ability to carry the ball forward through the wing or the middle was magnificient. He was England’s best in the last two matches. What a disaster! |
nyabinghi:No mind them. Them no know ball. I have already been resisting answering the antiRooney. Need to intensify my effort on that. I don even tire for ball first. Yesterday night I no sleep. I thought we were going to roast PSV. We were just playing tukpetukpe football like the way Gatafe would fair playing Levante. Plenty of midfield action or even plenty of passing the ball around final third with no real force or penetrations. Uneccessary too many short passes with no real purpose. And they enjoy it that way. That is the way I used to see middle table Spanish teams play. |
Again Fellaini did no single thing right. Whether in the deep or around the box or inside of it. Even our former guy Fabio as small as he is, would have offered more hold up play. |
AncientJerk:This angle didn't show the flight of the ball vs Rojo's movement, and by what number of inches Rojo's head missed that ball. When TV showed the flight of the ball from the crosser about twice, the blame rest squarely on Rojo. He saw the ball coming and was still running towards Smalling. Ordinary, he ought to stay closer to the strikers coming into our box than running towards Smalling. That ball wouldn't beat West Brown of 2007 in Centre Defence. It wouldn't beat Oshea of Sunderland, not even Oshea of Man United. I am not taking of masters of ball in flight readers like Vidic and Ferdinand who count steps to remove balls meant for strikers. As for Darmian, he lost it but must we concede everytime we lost a ball? |
adebayo201:Do you have it now? I downward the highlight after the match and I have seen that goal a dozen times. |
SailorXY:Woodward is not in control of it 100%. DDG has a big say in it. |
Manchester United cannot get close to winning the Premier League this season, according to Rio Ferdinand. The Old Trafford side beat Liverpool 3-1 on Saturday to go second in the league after five games, with Daley Blind, Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial on target. While only Manchester City sit above Louis van Gaal's side, former Red Devils defender Ferdinand does not believe they can mount a serious challenge for the title this term. "They'll finish in the top four," the ex-England defender told the Telegraph. "But I don't think they'll go close to winning the league. "The philosophy is completely different from what it used to be. Their philosophy at the moment seems to be: ‘We'll keep the ball more than you, you won't have comfortable possession. Us suffocating you with possession is our first form of defence’. "Man United supporters now have to go away and re-educate themselves on how to watch Man United. Don't go there expecting to see free-flowing, attacking, gung-ho football. It's methodical, side to side, wait for an opportunity to come. They suffocate other teams. "Van Gaal is big enough, strong enough and experienced enough to know that he's not going to please everyone." United's spending has increased immensely since Van Gaal was appointed coach and Ferdinand is not convinced the major investment is making them a better side. “You think, ‘You've spent all that money, where is the centre-half?” he added. “Daley Blind? He’s a fantastic all-round footballer but he's not a defender. "He's not going to spot danger as quick as a natural defender. He's indecisive in certain areas, he's not comfortable, he's not used to being in certain positions and then the ball is behind and he can't recover. “The real top, top drawer players are playing for Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. They make big differences in the big games and you have to be a special team to stop those players." The 36-year-old brought an end to a 12-year spell at United when he left to join Queens Park Rangers in 2014 before retiring in the summer and he admits he was not happy at being forced out of Old Trafford. “I was disappointed that I wasn't allowed to stay. Speaking to the lads now, they say it's a great education. It's different to what they've ever known," he added. "Everything's changing other than the groundsman and the chef. "I was talking to Nemanja Vidic and we were both saying the change is unreal in terms of the personnel and the transfer policy. We were saying, 'If they'd spent £50 million when we were there, we'd have won how much more?’" http://m.goal.com/s/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2015/09/13/15300382/manchester-united-wont-get-close-to-winning-the-title?utm_medium=en_gb&utm_campaign=ManUtd_title_Ferdinand&utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fm.facebook.com |
