darefestus:Ekwe Sample idiot! |
darefestus:You are a compound fool. An animal. Goat. I'mbecile. Olodo. A pregnant sheep will analyze football better than you do. Villager claiming to be a pundit. Are you seeing matches for the first time in your life? Or you watch black and white TV push to steady? He can't even read statistics. Stark illiterate. |
AdeLaNa1:So that when I release my bazoker, no one will blame me. Two nights ago, I saw a supermod monitoring this thread when I came here at 2 am. |
darefestus:You don't know ball. Our only positive player tonight was Valencia. He was always forward thinking but Lingard lack of poaitioner sense, his immaturity and poor decision on the ball slowed down our attack on the right where Valencia and Herrera could have won the game easily. |
darefestus: darefestus:Shame on you. Liar. You have been found out. You are insulting me again and again and again. Murkina2. I will insult this guy back. Hope I won't be banned? Let me tell you. Opta rated Valencia as MOTM. There is no way a player rated by Opta as MOTM be said to be poor. You are a novice. |
darefestus:You have insulted me twice now. If I insult you back you will be the first to all murkina2. You won't even cope with my insults. You will commit suicide. You also forget Valencia was a defender who had to overlap to help do the work Lingard was supposed to do. Rojo couldn't cross the half line. Valencia was also up against Musa. All the threats came from Rojo's wing and he offered no help to Martial. ..... Antonio Valencia:Solid at the back for the most part and, when he did eventually startto get forward, made a difference at the other end of the field too. United's best moments came down the right, including the goal for which Valencia claimed the assist.(7/10) ..... Jesse Lingard:A surprise selection from Van Gaal, but he did not disgrace himself on his Champions League debut. Showed aglimpse here and there of what he can do without coming up with anything of real substance.(6/10) |
darefestus:You are obviously a kid in football analysis. You are yet to cross kindergarten yet to argue with me. Everyone old timer here know that this stat sourced from opta cannot be wrong. |
The cross stats are out and the Ekwe Sample has gone into hiding. |
Mystic1:Today's game was easy. We only needed someone who could spot passes. Lingard was a kid in the game and got Herrera and Valencia out of proper attacking rhythm. But Valencia was still cool with good forward play and outpacing his markers. He also did not put a foot wrong in our defence. |
darefestus:Remove statistics, show me one rating site that rated Lingaard well. But Valencia was well rated. You watch football like a crude fan. Are you a newbie? |
darefestus:Look at who is taking about accurate crosses. Valencia had the highest accurate crosses in the entire match. Accurate crosses Valencia 4 Dzaguev 2 Martial 1 Depay 1 Lingaard 0 (0/2) Lingaard did not drift in anything. He was a clog to our swift attack. Is that how Mata used to drift in? |
Chances created Valencia 2 the highest in team. Lingard 0 Pass accuracy Valencia 91% Lingaard 82% Aerial dues won Valencia second behind Fellaini. Lingard 0 Shots lingaard 0 Highest tackles Valencia 4 |
darefestus:You watched football upside down. Valencia was the only player with forward play. Lingard was an obstacle to Valencia. Lingard was not matured. Does it occur to you that Valencia was the man of the match? Valencia from defence outpaced his markers to deliver decent crosses, from one of them we scored. Lingard reversed the ball backward from similar situations. |
darefestus:No. Lingaard stood on Valencia's way and even Herrera's way. He just didn't know what to do. When Valencia gives him the ball expecting a forward movement, Lingaard would reverse the play thereby calling Valencia and Herrera back. The result, back pass from whoever had the ball because Lingard had slowed the attack. |
elrony:You are not being objective. Rooney was a striker and he was starved badly by those in the build up play. Lingard was the principal culprit why we couldn't get into the final third. By time the ball got to where Rooney was he got crowded out. Where I got angry with him is his lackadaisical approach when he didn't have the ball. If we had Mata or Valencia in the number 7, Rooney could have scored with more direct play from the build up. Rojo did not support Martial. So Rooney was isolated in the middle and the ball never arrived. |
elrony:No Lingaard was our worst player. You didn't understand the match you watched. |
Mystic1:Our game was too slow in the first half. We needed 20 passes and 5 minutes to get to the final third. By the time we got there, the opposition had regrouped. We also never really attacked through the middle. We lacked forward passing and that was the reason Blind was introduced. Only Herrera was capable of sporting penetrating passes today. Even Martial could not spot the movements of Fellaini and Rooney around the box. This is why SAF always said players like Giggs and Scholes don't fall from the trees. |
I said it. Valencia. If only he had someone good playing in front of him. It was the decision to be defence conscious that kept Mata out of action today. Herrera on the right and Mata in the middle would have done us so much good. Or Martial and Memphis in the wings. Lingaard weakened us.
|
igbsam:Don't ever rely on starting line up formation from UEFA and OPTA. It's guess work. |
Starting Lingaard was our greatest undoing today. He didn't know where to position, he didn't know what to do with the ball when he had it. He slowed down Valencia and Herrera. Valencia was our best player in my opinion. It's painful we drew and have just 4 points when we should have 9 points. The game we won has been our most difficult. I don't understand Rooney. He didn't contest for any ball. He was not alert to possible passes. He allows the centre backs to pass the ball around without putting them under pressure. He doesn't want to risk his legs with tackles. He carries this to the next game without correction from the managers. He doesn't shoot at goal with force and confidence. He is too cool. I thought he should be improving on his good performance from the last game. |
Leyqute:This means he doesn't think he has to improve. Too bad! |

Chamberlain, pace and power destroyed Bayern Munich. EPL remains the best league in the world. ![]() |
This is how Wikipedia reported the FA Cup final 2007. At half time, Chelsea managerJosé Mourinhomade a like-for-like substitution, bringing on Dutch winger Arjen Robben forJoe Cole. A minute after the restart, Rooney produced the most exciting action to that moment, dribbling round two Chelsea defenders before aiming a powerful shot towards goal, but Petr Čech managed to make a convincing save. Rooney set off on another run ten minutes later, carrying the ball a good sixty yards towards goal only to be tackled by the last Chelsea defender,Wayne Bridge. Ryan Giggs then flashed a volley barely two feet over the bar from close range after a cross from Paul Scholes, who picked up the game's first booking a minute later after fouling Lampard. From the resulting free kick, Drogba curled the ball around the United wall and off the outside of the near post. Rooney set off on another dangerous run soon after, dribbling round both John Terry and Michael Essen before having the ball taken off his feet by Čech. With neither side doing enough to score in normal time, the game went into extra time for the third consecutive FA Cup Final. United's best chance of the game fell to Giggs from only three yards out after Rooney slid a pass across goal, but the Welshman couldn't get proper contact on his shot and Čech got down to make the save. Giggs appealed for a goal, claiming that the ball had crossed the line in Čech's arms, but the linesman didn't flag and refereeSteve Bennettwaved play on. Television replays appeared to show that the ball had just crossed the line, but only after Giggs's momentum had pushed Čech backwards into his own goal.[7]After the game, United managerSir Alex Fergusonclaimed that Giggs had been fouled by Essien just before he took his shot.[8] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_FA_Cup_Final?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C1881008064 This game has always been in my memory. Sometimes I wonder why Rooney doesn't play this way. The only English player who is trying to play like this is Barkley. But he is not coming even close. One of the problems of Wayne is his attempt to try to play with little movement on the pitch. That is not his game. It's not his game to try to play intelligently like Ozil or Berbatov. One person who tried to change Rooney was Capello, I think he didn't change him rightly. His goals went up but it came at a price. Little movement meant Rooney's muscles will become relaxed. Does Arjen Robben stay in one place? When I watch Robben, he is always moving everywhere like everybody wants to give him the ball. That keeps him even fitter than normal. |
Dadehmola:Observing. Can't even follow reading everything sef. Rooney is picking up. He had a very good game the last time. Although there was a period of 20 minutes he lost confidence in his abilities and started making wrong passes. It's like sometimes the pressure is on him knowing well after two bad touches the papers would be ready to slaughter him. He is the most attacked by British media. His sharpness has increased. He needs to work on his speed which was one of his greatest assets. If he got most of his speed back, he would score over 20 goals easily. The speed will return if he stays fit. But he will need to do something during next summer if he wants to go back to Rooney of before. Something like going to Kenya to run in the mountain for 6 weeks. Lol If he does that then we will get the Rooney that was going to single handedly win the FA Cup in 2007 but for gods of soccer. He is just 30. I remember FA Cup of 2007 we lost to Chelsea 1-0. The way Rooney tore through Chelsea midfield and defence made one think he was Maradona. Despite unlucky not to score and United lost, he was awarded MOTM. That performance was possible because of his athleticism. Wished he could get it back. |
Highest Area Duels won. Phil Jones 5. Martial 3. The rest 1. (Jones without height did a job here) Jones had the highest clearances. 7 His 92.5 pass accuracy made him 3rd behind Schneiderlin and Herrera. He was 3rd behind Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger in number of touches. 4th on highest number of passes. He has never had the opportunity of playing consistently as a centre back. I pray this becomes the beginning. If he got the chance, he woyld live up to the potential SAF saw in him when he gets to 25 years in two years time. |
chrisley024: Good to see Rooney break the away goal drought as well as his poor scoring record against Everton after helping us to a magical come back in a 2007 match which was crucial for the title that season. He had an okay first 25 minutes today with good touches, holding and passes. Then he had a poor game in the last 20 minutes of first half. The second half was great for him, the only regret was that he was unlucky to have a second goal after making a run from the deep, although the defender nudged him off balance. He could also have had a very good Assist, I have forgotten who it was that failed to finish, I think Martial. Martial had a very good game, we were unlucky not to score from one of his beautiful moves. Phil Jones and Smalling have a good understanding of the central defence. When one is contesting for the ball, the other is waiting to mop up. Both can also battle. I always say Jones is a good passer of the ball but people don't believe. |
daxlasaint: Police from Edo state head quarters dispatched men to lay ambush. All the robbers were killed and money recovered. I am a banker, so expect I know more. I don't want to give further details. The robbers were killed as they were to enter a boat. The police knew how they came so they went to take isolated road to lay ambush in the bush. |
ogwomba:Well, it's possible they would still have been stopped. The one that happened in Benin around 2007, Police took another route, went to take strategic positions outskirts of the town. And all the robbers were killed. Only one police man killed. It's better for the robbers to excape than to record innocent casualties. No amount of money is worth it. |
MadCow1:This tells me it was not appropriate to engage them in gun battle in that area. I don't know PH well but consider what you said 'it's a high traffic area' That alone can lead to the death of 50 innocent souls before the robbers are killed. MadCow1:Should there be casualties at all? Does it worth it? The following day you would hear obituary this obituary that..... From Street hawkers to car users going to work, professional footballers visiting home, govt officials, housewives, etc. It's not worth the risk. It just money. They robbers can always be traced if ambush cannot be laid. |
ogwomba:Are you a banker? You should know the police did well. It's best to get intelligence about an operation and then lay ambush or quietly go and arrest the robbers in their hideout than to engage them while in their operations. Bullets will be flying everywhere. |
MadCow1: I don't know PH too well, but there is a reason police don't confront or exchange shots with robbers inside main towns. There will be many casualties with stray bullets hitting everyone. The robbers would just be spraying to escape. When the dust settles, it would be dawn on everyone that it was a foolish move. You cannot put innocent civilian lives at risk just because of attempt to trap stolen money. It's always better to lay ambush. The robbers that were killed in Benin around 2007, were allowed to escape from the town but they met their deaths in the outskirt of the Benin City. As for the amount of money recovered from this robbers, it shows they went to a high risk area. A Zonal cash management office where cash is distributed to all branches in that state and even beyond. It would always be hard to go free from such an operation. The intelligence around such an area will be high. A low risk area for banking but a high risk area for robbers. High risk area for banks would hold more than 30m naira in a day except there is are emergency payments to be met. |
