First, what Rooney has even done by granting interview is not an admission to a fact. But me leave that first.

Now the bank is suing the man for false accussation and for dragging their image in the mud. The police may decide to prosecute the son and....

The second case could also be the man's girlfriend in place of his son. I have seen a case of a sugar mummy who got her money taken from her account by her boyfriend via several ATM withdrawals. At the end it was a matter of shame for the woman.

Rooney's interview cannot be an Admission in itself. If l said Chicharito played 14 matches and he played in front of Rooney , but Rooney's interview says anything else, that wont pass as an admission. The best it can be is just a statement. Not even a confession given under caution.

If another party confronting Rooney, and says in his own view Man United played 4-4-2, then that interview wont still pass as an Admission because Rooney said he played as a sole striker.

Two seasons ago, when Moyes took our boys on preseason, Lingaard and Zaha were the stars. Lingaard was scoring like he would score 30 EPL goals while RVP had a poor outing, missing one vs one on at least three occasions. I saw all the matches then.

But the first two matches of the New Season exposed the inexperience of Lingaard and Zaha.

How can you ask what skill Rooney has at the moment? Rooney was involved in some clever play last season. If RVP scored a certain pass from Rooney, that could have passed as the Assist of the season. He lobbed the ball diagonally to escape the three defenders but Van Persie missed controlled and couldn't get a strong effort at the end. Rooney scored some fantastic goals in last preseason, he hit two from distance, one from about 35 yards.

He ended with 12 league goals, if he is played upfront only, he will score over 20 goals. He has only had 90 minutes this preseason. We have to wait and see.

This is why I will prefer a player who can move with the ball from the deep and do damage. Players like Suarez are not available, so I pick someone who plays like Sanchez, that is Pedro.

Ok this is the way I see it.

First big players hardly do well in preseason. Most times they are out of shape. Last season Iheanacho outshone all city players in preseason while the big guns were looking out of shape.

Rooney is always a slow starter. The only preseason he appeared to have done very well was last year when he was a beast and the player of the tournament where we played big teams from Spain and Italy. I think that performance was influenced by the fact that he just returned from world cup, and he got a personal fitness coach that period, he never rested before the world cup.

In 2011/12 preseason, he was not near our best performers. But he went into the season to score 34 goals. What is important now is keeping fit, sharpening up, blending while avoiding injuries.

Haven said that, I think we will need someone. I need someone who can involve well in build up play, fast and a dribbler. I pick Pedro over any hyena. This is in case...

I don't want a repeat of last season when our hyenas were clipped.

How can any one say SAF played Welbeck behind Rooney? SAF will not be stupid to play Welbeck or Chicha as the playmaker.

2. Where did Rooney play? We shall know this by two steps. First, we look at the number of matches he played with Chicharito. Rooney and Chicharito started 14 matches together. This number doesn't include a few other occasions substitutions brought them together. Rooney started 31 matches. If you remove 14 from 31, you have 17 other times that Rooney could possibly have started as a number 9. This leads us to the next level, Rooney and Welbeck stats and who played what?

It is important too I mention here that Rooney scored 9 goals from four of the 14 matches he and Chicha started together.

3. Rooney only started two matches without Chicha or Welbeck. The matches are Man City vs Man United and Sunderland vs Man United. These were the matches (Nani, Giggs and Park) and (Young, Giggs and Valencia) were used to assist Rooney in some other formations. Apart from these two, Welbeck played 9 while Rooney played 10 in all the formation charts I have seen. I will post some soon. Someone has already given us a chart supporting this setting, even though it didn't tell if it was a league match or UCL.

4. Rooney, Welbeck and Chicha started 5 matches together. These and a few other matches Rooney was absent were basically the matches Welbeck got some tiny roles as AM-C, AM-L and AM-R.

Tess1, the above is from our very old argument. You write as if Rooney and Chicharito were alternate strikers. You are wrong.

Rooney played virtually all matches Chicharito played. Which means Rooney was not the reason Chicha was on the bench. Welbeck and Chicha were the alternate strikers.

Rooney kept his position behind them. I have seen commentaries of 2011 stating concern on who was better as a striker between Welbeck and Chicha. As we go along, I will be producing these materials.
