We would have stood a better chance if we had Mkhitaryan playing for us instead of new Sanchez.

Just before we sold Mkhitaryan, I published a stat which shows he covers so much ground in the UCL. He is one of the top players covering highest KM per match.

We could still have done better if we played McTominay instead of Fellaini or unfit Pogba. McTominay is in form, young, agile with great mobility. He is business orientated on the field of play. No show off, always trying to do the dirty work while playing positively in build up play. He is like a German, no too much drama but straight to the point. Mourinho dropped him.

I thought Eric Bailly could have closed that guy better before the first goal. I have a feeling Phil Jones would have block that shot or not give him that shooting space in that situation.

Mourinho should have left Valencia on. The game was not lost at 1-0. We lost shape defending when Val left. He had already missed his first substitution by bringing in Pogba who was playing nothing. Martial should have come on earlier, even 4-1-4-1 could have helped out. That's where Gaal is better with formations.

When Spurs honorably lost to Juventus, elampiro led Mou's Fans Club condemned Poch as an average Manager without Kane and Eriksen.

I'm expecting what they gonna call their Lord after getting disgraced Home and Away by an average La Liga Club with Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku, De Gea, Martial and Co at his Disposal.

Glad everyone is beginning to see the Light..... that the REAL FRAUD ain't Pep but the arrogant Twát.
I said too much of anything is bad, whether defending or attacking football.

United was not going to win the Champions League. We were just trying our luck. Check the teams that win Champions League, they are usually teams with top players who have been together for years.

Lukaku, Bailly, Sanchez, Martial, Rashford are never going to win the Champions League even if coached by Ferguson or Guardiola. Simple reason that it is a team newly assembled. Either the coach makes a mistake or the players ruin it on their own.

Some here won't agree with this. They are convinced the team is just average or maybe below average.

So it's not the players but the style of play? Hmmmm

I agree though

Like the Sanchez project? Or is there a particular wing you're looking at or if just any world class player turns up?
Not any particularly wing. A world class player in the calibre of Neymar cannot be ignored. Even if there is a midfielder like Xavi. Or if you have someone like Roberto Carlos or Marcelo

Buhari is trying. The killings have been on for decades and even and worse between 2010 and 2014.

Not the same thing though.

But let's not go back. I agree he has improved, something he had to do because the team lacks a RW and midfield to create as many chances as other teams do.
We have all the players now. We have three or four players that can play from the right wing. It is just our style of play that creates few chances, at same time concede few goals.

Even midfield, we are kind of cover now with McTominay. The only time we should buy a new play is when a world class player is available.

When we compared the number of chances he had missed to other strikers, especially the ones you suggested, Lukaku had a better stat.
He wasn't better. He played more matches than many and scored less goals.

But why are you taking us back?

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 7:54pm On Mar 11, 2018
Apart from his overall play, he was missing clear cut chances that could have given us 3 points. He doesnt miss clear cut chances now.

Since that time we argued about Lukaku in about November ending, he has only missed 2 more clear cut chances.

Just agree that you Ekwe Sample no know ball.

If people have not been blaming Lukaku, it means they think he is playing well.

We used to hear, 'he needs to play in the box'. We kept saying it was not a matter of playing in the box and scoring goals but a matter of his overall play. Yesterday, did he play in the box to have a great game which instigated your underserved attack of others?

This kind of game plan is acceptable against teams that JM considers dangerous in attack or that are superior on paper.
We played with a tight defence but when we broke it was with speed and with intent. Our transition from defence to attack was quite good on occasion, and that was very encouraging.
But he goofed on Valencia marking the middle with Mata in the corridor. He could also have brought Lingard earlier. Lingard and Val would have closed that right side of our defence. Even if Lingard came for Sanchez, it would have still be okay.

We are not seeing the Lukaku critics talk again.

The ones who write epistles and criticize him are suddenly quiet after he has morphed into a bully with good feet.

The hypocrites and loudmouths here are just amazing.

Meanwhile someone here told us that Moyes is supposed to be our manager. But he is on amission to relegate a second team in consecutive years.

Omo the drivel being spewed here sometimes makes you wonder if some people use papyrus to type
What is criticism meant for if not to make one improves?

Players must be criticized. Currently Pogba and Sanchez are receiving it. If they start playing fine tomorrow, you might come to say where are those who criticized them?

Lukaku was very poor that period. Not winning many earlier duels, not always running towards or in position to contest for them. Not able to hold the ball like he does now. Not able to make an accurate pass, not able to beat a man.

Mourinho probably worked on him and the critics should be praised.

The first substitution should have been Lingard for Sanchez. Perhaps the scores should still have been 2-0 with his work rate.

Mata is currently not seen again.

McTominay looks to have saved us the stress of looking for another £60m midfielder.
