Looking at the population of South East States other states, there should be more states in the South West and North. The South East is marginalizing the rest of the country in terms of land area, population visavis number of states. |
I doubted this report until I did my own investigation. Hard to believe but true. |
Poor defending from Leicester. |
crazypencils20:Martial does better closer to the opponent's box than the middle of the park. Basically what am I saying is an attacking player's ability to stay on the ball comfortably for a long time under pressure with some intelligent drives which create openings for fellow forwards. |
crazypencils20:I don't know how to make gif. But why exactly are we praising Sanchez? Is it because he has scored a fantastic goal or dribble his way to score? Is it not the way he is driving the ball, always calling for it and giving attacking options? He is not afraid of the ball in tough situations and he wants to hold it - not hurrying to remove the wahala from his head. Make dem no blame me. |
crazypencils20:Lana1 is talking about forward dribbling which we know on a good day, Martial is one of the best in the world. Get the ball within 3-6 seconds you cancel one or two defenders to score (or try to score). Lingard has been trying that too. Thierry Henry was very consistent at that even though not as good in dribbling as Martial. However, Martial is not very consistent doing it, and most times offers nothing if the forward dribbling is not working for him. For you to understand what I am talking about, let's start from our defence. Jones, Smalling, Rojo are 'give me the ball take it back' footballers compared to Matic, Valencia and Bailly who can at least hold the ball long even under pressure. If the team is playing nervously and looking for someone to help keep the ball, cool nerves and start a build up from the back, the ball has to be given to Valencia or Matic or Bailly. A player once said during their time in Madrid, when they didn't know what to do with the ball, they gave it to Zidane. There are many times we have been shaking in keeping possession and often resort to side and back passes during matches. In some of my post match analysis, I have said we need players who can at least keep the ball in the final third while bringing others into play. Players who can drive the ball forward quick covering some yards, when everywhere is blocked, they maneuver their way with the ball to another direction in the field carrying fellow forward players along while creating spaces. What I see most times, if Rashford is not running forward with the ball, he brings virtually nothing. Without those direct dribbling+goals, Martial brings almost nothing, Mkhitaryan and Mata looking for intelligent passes. Everyone looking to quickly get the ball off their feet when what they are good at is not opening up. To drive the point home, Hazard is not a good direct dribbler in dangerous areas like Martial, not a good scorer like Martial. But Hazard keeps the ball longer at his feet than Martial. We can say too Iniesta, Neymar keep the ball on their feet than Martial. We can mention a player like Ronaldinho. In our Super Eagles of 1994, Amokachi was a good ball keeper at his feet despite not as talented as Siasia and Yekini. |
Lana1:With your gifs, it is clear we are not talking about the same thing (quality). |
crazypencils20:I have made my point. I cannot explain it further than that. |
Lana1:What I meant is the moment forward dribbling is not going well for Martial, he turns back, slows the play and make safe (weak) pass to Shaw or Young. In same circumstance, Salah might find another way to zigzag his way to the front of the box or turning shiftly to cause problems and open spaces. Martial is still young sha. |
Lana1:That is 3 seconds forward play which he struggled with like a buldozer. Even Smalling sometimes have such play. You are mistaking my 'strong on the ball' to mean shoulder to shoulder play or chop-well play. It is not about muscle, it is about asking for the ball often using tricks to keep it for long while creating space in the final 3rd. |
Lana1:You are not making sense. Messi is strong on the ball. I have told you the area which these defenders are strong on the ball. Abi no be same defence Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Darmian dey play with those players? Messi can keep the ball for long without resorting to safe pass at the end. The moment Martial can't dribble forward, just watch, he is useless. He passes back to Shaw or Young or another safe pass. Not same for Sanchez. |
What I am talking is ability to hold the ball, turn with it, go past one man still holding it and creating space for your co-attackers, pass move and ask for the ball. Keep it again. You might make mistakes sometimes because it is like every ball is looking for you. You are under pressure, you carry everyone along in the final 3rd. Martial is one who wants to dribble direct and score. If he is not doing that, he is worse than Lingard. He doesn't keep the ball for more than a few seconds when there is no forward run/dribble on. If he tries to keep the ball he ends up on one option slow play and pass back. |
Lana1:Martial is not strong with possession. Using another language. He loses idea of self expression if he tries to keep the ball long and so he loses it or resort to safe pass . Matic, Valencia and Bailly are the only ones strong on the ball before the arrival of Sanchez. But Sanchez is the only one who can keep it in opposition's half. In Chelsea, Hazard, Willian are strong on the ball. Moses is still trying. |
Lana1:Mata no join. He is just a good passer. Martial is a good forward dribbler, but he is not strong on the ball. |
We need one or two more players who can hold the ball and do something with it in the opposition half. Sanchez has proven that we need ball holders in our team. |
The name of account holder on my receipt is 'Tartu Ulikool' |
makay200:I paid to UT using someone in Estonia. After two weeks, the school confirmed receipt of payment. By then I had already chosen Euroacademy The person who helped me went to the bank directly. |

Cyynthialove:Soldiers are yet to be deployed. Deployment will start next week- March 15th |
puffpuff:You obviously are the only one who didn't get the propaganda audio messages that circulated whatsapp from girls who said Fulani herdsmen killed all passengers in God is good motors, Iyare and many buses in Lagos road but only them were safe. That no one should travel Lagos road again. They claim to be Igbinedion Uni students. For two or three days now it has been circulating. Thisday and Edo State govt investigation revealed nothing like that happened. |
OdionAkghigbe:Just imagine. See the kind of twisted people that want to come back in 2019. We will never know the truth if these people are allowed back. Nigeria will be gone forever. |
OdionAkghigbe Can you confirm that the transport company has issued a statement because someone posted this false report of Fulani attack on a WhatsApp group. I have asked how come no news media carried it. How come no video of the attacked bus, no police report on the matter. No complaint by the transport companies mentioned - God is Good and Iyare. |
PDP practicing evil and dirty politics. |
Not a fraud. Buhari made it clear from beginning that what he was interested in was recovery. If you return the loot, you are left off the hook. Only those who refused to return will be prosecuted to the last. Those who returned before being arrested were immediately left off the hook. That was the approach Buhari wanted until people were saying all talk no action. Then EFCC arrested Dasuki, Dokpesi, Metu, etc. Now people want people to go to jail. |
Lalasticlala Please this is worth front page |
Poor journalism. The headline is different from what the President said. The President said all Nigerians should desist from reprisal attacks. That means both Fulani herdsmen and farmers should desist from reprisal attack. He also said herdsmen killings will not be tolerated. |
Buhari has not failed. He has done well with the low oil price. Economic indices are going up. Savings and investments are far higher than what they were in 2014. Bank deposits and profit are far higher than they have ever been. The stock market capitalizaton is sky high. Total yearly air passengers last year was higher than 2014. Higher than any year in history except 2013. It is an indication that the economy has so much improved. 2017 was the turn around. Forming a group of posters, commentators and likers of commentaries against the President on nairaland doesn’t represent the opinion of the rest of us. I am a Southerner. |
Bahuri the great man. |
Hahaha Sai Baba! |
bionixs:Venezuela's currency is currently 142,000 to a dollar. People loot stores, pick waste bins to eat. This was a country its currency was one of the strongest in the world, far better than the naira. One of the economies envied during oil boom. You no know book. |
bionixs:If not for Buhari, Nigeria would have been worse than Venezuela. You see what corruption did to Venezuela when low oil price hit? |
