Well done England.
Play like the Germans Play like the Spanish
A day will come, it will be play the English way.
This current team is young, and they still have many years to grow with experience.
But Sterling has been disappointing. If he could give 90% of what he does at City, England would be roasting opponents. |

This is the best time to leave the competition between him and Messi. Staying in same league makes it very intense. Ronaldo has had the last laugh in the competition between the two. He won three UCL in a row, won three Ballon D'or in recent years, won a title to his country, dominated better in the current world cup. Secondly, he might make history by helping Juventus to win the Champions League. |

weedtaker: elampiro don show, bros oya analyze our season for us. Mehn, everything has been said already. I didn’t come here for about a month or more, and I just read over a hundred pages. I skipped many many pages sha. I had the premonition that we would lose the FA cup final. I didn’t see some of our last matches. About three matches in April and May. It appears some of the players like Lukaku were more interested in saving themselves for the world cup, in his absence Rashford struggled. This season is our best season in the league since Ferguson left. Let’s watch out the transfers and see what next season has to offer. We need very good dribblers and magic workers in the midfield and attack. Sanchez didn't live up to expectation, he has already played his best football for Chile, Barca and Arsenal. It is possible also our players are not bringing out his best. |

chrisley024: Of course the 1st half looked like Madrid vs Okomu FC. He dropped his negative football and the difference is obvious No, you got it wrong. Mourinho attempted to play attacking football from the beginning, but it didn't work and even exposed us. City exploited spaces between players and as well kept dropping the ball behind our defence which attempted to play high. At half time, Mourinho made the players to play more compact, cover more kilometers sprinting. So the spaces between players disappeared. |

dopeJemi: At the end of the day, they are both saying the same thing, so why the argument? Not really exactly the same thing. He thinks Valencia's lack of attacking ability was the reason the play shifted to the left, but I think it was just tactical. Mourinho would ordinarily load that area to prevent Swansea from attacking from their strongest side. Swansea might also have come to stop either Martial or Sanchez whoever started from that side. Mata is less of a threat, they could do with one man with him. Valencia may also have been stationed back to help cover the space left behind by the CB who might have a busy day going to the left side to tackle. |

Manchester United attacking through the left vs right side is 38% to 35%. Middle 26%
Martial, Rashford and Sanchez play from the left. Abeg Valencia dey try. Do you know when another player plays behind Mata, you don't get to see Mata in the match?

joeace2020: A look at our average swansea formation tells you all you need to know about our right side yet people are still talking of new LB's like we can compare the deficiency of our RB and RW to that of our LB or LW. Your screenshot doesnt point out any deficiency. Swansea attacks through their right, and we have our best attacking players on the left. So it was a better of one side of the pitch. May be that was why Mourinho played Sanchez on the left and Lingard in the middle to also help in the battle of that area. Mata was on the right and he too moved into the middle.

eph12: Hope you also remember you brought up this debate yourself some days ago.
How do you expect the striker to score as much as others that have their teams defending from the attacking position? You have a higher chance of scoring when you force opposition teams to make mistakes close to their goal. Do you imply that Lukaku is as good as Kane and Aguero? |

eph12: Not everyone's comment just yours because your natural instinct is to malign Lukaku ignoring all other indices.
Good morning bros Good morning. You cannot claim not to see the times I have praised him. For instance, he was our best player against Sevilla at Old Trafford. He has been praying well in the past two months. But my argument is that he wasn't playing well at some time in the season, and his lack of many goals is also down to his playing techniques as compared to Kane, Aguero and Salah. I can recall what I said before we bought him, that small teams are likely going to park the bus against us while attacking us on the counter like they did last season when Ibrahimovic led the line. I said that might be a problem for Lukaku because the spaces he used to get at Everton wont be there. The small teams open the games for each other, but park against big teams making it hard for strikers who are not skillful or dribblers. Lukaku is a great scorer but not a skillful player. This is where Aguero will likely open up a rightly packed defence better. |

eph12: The last time we had a striker that was constantly scoring 20+ per season was Ruud Van and somebody claimed we have always had strikers that were scoring 20+ goals per season. Even when we had a much better team we never had a constant 20+ striker in the EPL.
I want Lukaku to score more goals but I'm not going to lie to myself that we have always had it good with strikers or that the team is being creative enough to merit a 20+ goals striker. When you read people’s comment, you see only what you want to see and not what the people write. This is because you have the natural instinct to defend Lukaku |

raumdeuter: Zlatan was taking penalties and he had 28 goals, Lukaku isnt taking penalties and he has 25 at this moment
How many do you expect him to be scoring We were winning penalties under Zlatan but not winning penalties under Lukaku. This questions the leadership technique of Lukaku from the front. You also need confidence to score penalties. The problem is that people don't want Lukaku criticized at all. When we had these argument last year, I said it is not just due to attacking football that Kane, Salah and Aguero score many goals, but they have superior attacking techniques as well as superior goal scoring techniques which their team mates benefit from. |

patrickmuf: Lukaku was scoring frequently at West Brom and most recently Everton thus for him to be posing lesser numbers here, we need to take a close look at the coach and the system cos the advantage in quality we have over West Brom and Everton is unquestionable... Our build up play is slow and our fullback are most tasked with defending rather than joining the attack (sorry Luke Shaw), we are treated to uninspiring football after spending bucket loads but no, let's blame Lukaku who gives his all on the pitch. He has limitations but it's obvious he is working hard to get over them, you can't fault him, not after seeing he plays with Lingard, Fellaini, Smalling, Young etc We should have used same logic to back Mkhitaryan because he played in Mourinho's defensive system. Mkhitaryan was the highest Assist provider before he came here. Are we rating players on what they did before they came or what they are doing now? Remember Chelsea bought great strikers that never were able to replicate their scoring forms from previous clubs. Schevchenco, Torres, Crespo |

raumdeuter: Lukaku is the 25 goal striker and he proved it at Everton in the same EPL
Zlatan was taking penalties for you right? Is Lukaku taking?
Zlatan has 28 goals all season Lukaku has 25 goals at the moment Zlatan scored 28 and was said to have under performed. He scored 17 league goals. Did we now buy a striker for 75m to get around Zlatan figures? Secondly, I would like you to add Lukaku's goals+ Assists per minutes in that chat you compared Lingard, Martial and Rashford. Let’s see how Lukaku faired. |

Is it not this same Mourinho that Ibrahimovic played under and scored 17 goals. We said he failed because we needed a 25 goals striker.
Now, 25 goals is no longer the benchmark but strength used in helping others. I have nothing against Lukaku, but I don't know why crowd come to defend him when he is criticized. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 8:10pm On Mar 19, 2018 |
larride: Why not compare Firminho with Lukaku and compare Salah with Martial? The issue is not Lingard. We didn’t have an argument about Lingard. Lingard didn't cost us 75 million and was never given the burden to score or Assist goals. He was meant to be a squad player coming in for Mkhitaryan, Mata, Martial where there is space. It is the poor performance of those guys that Lingard got his chance. Lukaku has to be compared with the best scorers because he was bought for £75m to bang in goals. Ibrahimovic scored 17 goals and was deemed to be very poor. Similary, Rooney scored 17 goals under Moyes playing behind RVP, sometimes in central midfield. He was said to be poor. He reached double digit in Assist too, yet almost all and sundry here told us to the figures were too small for a number 10. |
