Primaries are going to be fair and democratic.....The APC will likely field Elrufai who lacks Bubu's Northern popularity who is lamido when elrufai is involvd? Or worst stil u afraid bubu wld recontest and gv u a run 4 ur money. Cos an average northerner/southwesterner wld rada pitch his tent wid a buhari dan a corrupt lamido. |

wirinet: I am sorry to say but you guys talk like illiterates, NOI had the political will to save but could not put political structures in place to ensure savings are guaranteed. So you expect NOI to just inform the governors that she wants to save their part of the revenue and she can now start deducting any amount she likes from the federation accounts and she can can spend the money unilaterally and inform the governors later if the ask questions.
If you say Jonathan had the political will to save, did the government attempt to change the laws to ensure savings? Did Jonathan proposed a system of savings acceptable to all stakeholders of the federation accounts? Did Jonathan send an amendment to the constitution to enshrine savings. Did Jonathan lobby the governors, the national assembly and his party on the need to save?

And nw u expect us to blame da ex governorz, my question is who was da c in c as at den? kulikuli26: Democracy at play. Minority will have their say while majority will have their way. Sen Olamilekan is a coward, why didn't he sit in the senate and voice his displeasure on the floor of the senate. Moreso, he should list the names of those that are opposed to the bill. I'm sure they aren't even up to 1/3. The influence of the executive on CCT/CCB is dangerous for the independence of parliament. I support the bill 100%. and it is when saraki is standing trial dat they want to change da rules, yet u as a citizen is in support of it. U tink they ammending da lawz 4 da sake of me and u da ordinary citizenz? No they are doing diz 4 their own selfish reason. Do nt support evil in order to spite da opposite side. Da last time i checkd da executive isnt even behind his trial. And worse still is da damning revelationz panama paper made on da senate president, in a more saner clime saraki shld have resigned. Bottom line is d fact dat they are nt there to protect our collective interest bt theirz. |

seunmsg: So far so good, Northern law makers have smuggled in so many project for their constituencies. Can we see the projects smuggled into the budget by southern law makers?
Revelations from this 2016 budget have really exposed the south to be a politically immature region. We all come online and engage in silly e-wars while northerners stay back and observe our silliness. Our elected law makers are even more sillier. Party sentiments and selfish political interest have so blinded their eyes that they couldn't see anything wrong in cancelling the Lagos-Calabar railway project and appropriating the funds meant for it to complete the Kano railway projects and build new roads and town halls in the north.
Lagos-Calabar rail line that was presented and defended by the transport minister was rejected because it wasn't part of the initial budget submitted by the president while new roads and town halls in the north that was never designed, presented or defended by any ministry was included and appropriated huge funds. Yet, southerners still come online to support the decision of the national assembly due to party sentiments. Seriously, it sucks to be a southerner. broz it gladenz ma heart to see u beam wit enlightment bt even 4 those of in da north, it is nt yet uhuru cos hw sure are we funds meant 4 dis project wld nt develop wingz suddenly?
