Nigeria Rated "HIGH RISK" for Social Unrest in 2014 The Middle East and North Africa (MENA), southern Europe, the Balkans and the former Soviet countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) are well represented in the high-risk categories: 12 out of 18 MENA states, six of the seven Balkan countries, eight out of the 12 CIS states, five out of six southern European ones. More than 40% of the countries in eastern Europe are in the high-risk categories. This region was hit hard by the financial crisis and also has many of the underlying characteristics associated with unrest. Unsurprisingly, many high-risk countries are in sub-Saharan Africa. But there are also some in Latin America and Asia—including the world’s largest and most successful emerging market, China, where the authorities are perennially nervous about the risk of mass protests. source http://www.economist.com/news/21589143-where-protest-likeliest-break-out-ripe-rebellion With the state of events being observed in the country presently, it would be a total miracle it 2014 is peaceful......

@bigfransis21 Happy Birthday! !!! |
Oboy if my calculations are right then my GP is Cum Laude rated ....hmmmmm Actor!! .. lol whatever that means but do schools .Really convert or they just find the average noni? because I ain't .WESing my Transcript . am not !! |
bigfrancis21: Your 4.0 CGPA(which will fall somewhere between 3.4/4.0 to 3.50/4.0) coupled with a strong GRE score(somewhere around 310), strong letters of recommendation, and an excellent SOP could get you an assistantship in average schools in the US. Top-notch schools will require outstanding and stellar records from you.noted Bro!! Thanks!! Am going to add Canadian schools too! I Can't shout ![]() |
imperiouxx: Same you're thinkingI feel ur RPG!! ![]() Thanks for the advice bro!! I can get some good RECOS, SOP, GRE (hard work 4 High scores though) Am more settled now ![]() |
Amefrica: Wow! We have an electrician in the house.. Little wonder ur moniker is electronic..Easy Man! This Circuit is well grounded!! ![]() Amefrica you no go kill person!! |
@imperiouxx!! (still!! can't decipher the meaning of ur username ).lol....Well Since you have real time experience , do you think a Gp of 4/5 . stands a chance for RA/TA (Msc or PHD).....I studied Elect/Elect.I know the whole system is complex and competitive ! But your answer would be more practical. I'm not applying to those IVY Leagues anyway. I don't have that kind of money to Gamble!! I know of WES though, but I don't know If my GP wld put me in the 3.5/4. range. I have to try and publish to boost my chances, or atleast submit a paper to some online journal.. |
Well let me come in as an experienced Engrn (2.1 ELECT/ELECT) applicant ...lol Interms of numbers, engineers in the labour market are obviously fewer! Compared to the ARTs . Try attending an aptitude Test for The banking Sector However getting jobs that suite our discipline is a major setback. Most engineering coys would seek for thousands, then employ just Ten?...crazy!!! So engineers have to settle for none engineering jobs (notime).. Unfortunately most Engineering grads are die Hards so they decide to stay at home or acquire some skill (capital intensive though). Some just leave the country. Three of my Guys just WAKA!!! Like joke ![]() |
bigfrancis21: Success, bro. Your score isn't too bad, per se. If getting an assistantship is your greatest need, you might want to apply to less competitive schools. That way you stand a better chance of landing an admission + graduate assistantship.see racket .Nah!!! I am definitely applying this model! you the man!! |
crespo67: . Lol @ 'Acquire me'...sounds like an equipment or software...by gr8 coy,I guess u mean d E and P's...cool...are u done wiv skul and service?..2015 fall...datz 2 solid years...nice cgpa assuming dat u done wiv skul...guess datz like a 3.5 to 3.6 on a WES converted scale...cool dat u goin straight for ur phd..I say,shoot for it bro...better chances of getting ur full scholarships...my cgpa was kinda poor,3.46 so on a WES converted scale,I guess its gonna look like a 3.2...so,dat na why I need kill d GRE...my last prep,I used Baron,gruber and d killer kaplan...kaplan was just my undoing for dat exam...made everytin look so easy...na big fat lie in real life...while Baron is quite good,4m wat I av observed,it doesn't av d potentials of bringing dat stellar 165 and above..Thanks for the advise Bro !! Am actually aiming 4 2015 Because am running my Msc now, but ASSU got me thinking again! lol... Graduate application is not easy. but its one step at a time... |
Graviton: mine is Baron SAT, very comprehensive but it is not funonpoint ![]() |
