Hello everyone. Im not very active on this thread.However i took ample time to study all the manuscripts. My visa got approved today to the glory of God. It can only be God. Thank you Nairaland.

Me: the school is ranked by world report and USnews.com as best regional school in the north as far as my course is concerned. Also the school has a track record tailored to what i want to study. Student faculty ratio is 19:1. It has seasoned professionals both on field and in research, the like of Dr. Lori Koziol who is an outstanding scholar in the field of translational bioinformatics( v.o cuts in)

V.O : When did you finish university

Me: in 2013

V.O : What have you been doing since then.

Me: After NYSC, i have been working as a medical officer at the federal medical center Lagos, where i treat general medical cases. I manage uncomplicated medical emergencies in all age groups. I also administer and monitor vaccination in immunization clinic. My work involves keeping tract of vast amounts of data recorded manually hence my choice of course..(cuts in).

V.O : I will be approving your visa.( hands me white paper and circles pickup address)bla bla...

I went blank and didn't hear the rest of all what he was saying.

Advice- be audible, coherent in speech and confident. Maintain a genial eye contact and speak fluently( without faking any accent).

Hello House,

Please I need your advice. I plan to travel to Texas for my MS this coming Fall. My passport will expire by Feb 2018. I was at the Port Harcourt Immigration Office today with the hope of renewing the passport before applying for Visa. Unfortunately, I was told that renewal isn't possible since the expiration date is more than 6months from now. However, after explaining d reason for wanting to renew before d expiration date, the immigration officer said that only a reissue can be done, and that can be done only in Abuja Office.

(2) Sustainable Energy

both are STEM but No funding or GA yet...
Please, which is more lucrative and promising in terms of working abroad after graduation, my undergraduate major is also Electrical Engineering.

Pls I want to ask those in the US about how to get good cheap accommodation, how to get cheaper health insurance, general living hacks (buying groceries at cheaper stores, telephone bills). Slept in the office for my 7am appointment because its closer to the consulate. Got there in the rain by 5:30 or so. After all the checks, queued up and the VOs came to their desks. I wanted one other slim vo because he seemed cool and patient lol, but I was asked to meet the Chinese guy - I think he should be about 32. I wouldn't say he's strict, as the interview wasn't as scary as I feared. You just need to give him or any of them good responses..

But what happened is that I am actually going for 2nd undergraduate major in Business and Managerial economics. From my point of view, I guess the vo is not convinced about how I defined and explained the course to him because he never asked of anything but THAT.

My f1 visa application was denied today, and my degree program starts by August. Can I reapply almost immediately so I can meet up before deadline date ? If no, can I defer the admission till spring 2018 (meanwhile, I already deferred once due to delay in documentation from my school in Nigeria) ?

I checked the firstbank at vgc gate I was told SEVIS fee can't be paid in Nigeria, pls is there any other way I can pay cos Western Union can't be sent from Nigeria for noe

I checked the WU website 2 nights ago, and with the results I obtained, I visited a number of Firstbank branches (4 Or 5) showing quickpay service on the website. None has it. I will be visiting WU offices to today.
