Universities: Good morning everybody.
My name is James.
That being said, I'm 34 years and married with the intention of going for my PhD in Canada next year.
However, will my age stand as a factor in giving visa as i learnt Canadians do put AGE as a criteria in giving out visas?
Secondly. I have published two books on website design and development including using open source (WordPress). What are the criteria for admitting students?
God bless you all. Canadian schools are quite competitive and fewer compared to American schools so admission for PhD would need some effort. And No, your Age won't be a problem for PhD. However migrating with family is easier with Canada than America so that's a Plus. But post your profile so that people can help recommend schools for you. |

sirRiddy: Just be serious with your classes so they can renew it. You have to be on at least 3.5/4 to remain competitive especially if you have not been promised anything by the department and you are an MS student (MS students are generally not priority for funding in most research institutions) In my opinion, TA is not great for a PhD student especially if you are given a boring and large course to assist with. It is good for a semester once in a while but not You will be surprised what you can do if you work very hard. Congratulations. Bro thanks for the Advice...I will carefully take heed I am actually heading for a PhD.... I know the TA could be something else I just Pray I have an understanding Prof.... Please on that Internship thingy, how early should we be ? I would have to to head to school in person to ask questions about TA/RA matters. Thanks Boss.. |

I have enough of those people around me. i just dont like that sexuality because i'm opened to my opinion too...Adios i dont hate the player i hate the game.. writing this i just realised i've had lots of experiences that i never really considered important all what you've read above is not fiction as matter of fact some of it took place an hour ago. LoL I guess we all have to prepare for the culture SHOCK!... I totally feel you man, moving from Nigeria to USA is a huge leap. God help us all |

lola234: I got accepted for Msc Computer Science but I couldn't secure a GA with the department so I applied for GA at recreational sport office for Fitness Graduate Assistant and I have been scheduled for a Skype interview. Please what questions will likely be asked also I don't have experience in fitness stuff, I have never been to gym centre. Please I don't want to lose this opportunity. Just go online and carry out some small research. Use YouTube to get a feel. Speak well to impress them and talk about any sport related job you have done. Let them know you can motivate and inspire people to be fit. Best of luck! |

frankie2K: @bigfrancis21,I have read your article on gpa conversion and I can say is quite clear but my question is dis, does it mean that when school evaluate their own internally, the result will be different from WES.please shed more light on school evaluation. gurus in the house pls help. To m my findings, There might be slight differences between WES and some Schools. This is because some schools might have their own GPA template for international students developed by in-house evaluation experts. While some other schools who don't have all those resources would just request for a WES evaluation to save them the stress. For me I used WES free Calculator to get an Idea of my GP on a 4point scale. Hope this helps.. |

joeluv: Am having difficulty uploading my passport photo on the DS-160. Must it be uploaded? The last time I went for a US visa interview I was unable to upload my passport so I simply carried a passport photo with me and I had no issues. Can I still do that? Go to a photographer that has an idea on VISA pic sizes. I did mine with a Samsung phone at a business centre and the guy adjusted it to 600x600. Finito, your camera is probably the problem. |
