Do schools give scholarship during spring session.

Thanks for your kind response.

Kindly criticise schools below.

U of Pittsburgh
U of Tennessee Knoxville
Northwestern University
North Carolina State University

I will appreciate any information that will influence a successful admission process.
What's your GRE and TOEFL score?
Civil might be lucky to get into this schools but
These schools are not really safe when it comes to funding due to competition. Try and contact Profs before applying...
Or better still, seek extra safe schools...

good day everyone, i just received my i-20 docs from southern Arkansas university and on my education level *other: graduate certificate* is what was writing there and my program date duration is 2 yrs. i was admitted for master's in engineering technology. Hope this wont contradict anything on my interview date? Please your response will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
If you are not going for a "graduate certificate" program then there is a Contradiction already.. Change it ASAP to avoid matters that touch
VOs don't take such things lightly. You can check the VOs thread and ask..

Firstly, I want to appreciate the Almighty GOD for giving an individual, Seun Osewa, a thought to create an informative forum like this,Nairaland. My big thank you also goes to GUNTHER6 for opening my eyes to the schooling opportunities in the U.S. I never knew until I met him ,through Nairaland. We later met at Iyana-Ipaja in July last year when he was to help me with a GRE voucher. Actually, I wanted to write the GRE in order to meet up with the requirement of FH Aachen, a university in Germany. I had the intention of schooling in Germany before GUNTHER6 made me to understand I could spend less , in U.S, if offered a Graduate Assistantship with a monthly stipend. ). GRE score is 301( Q 152, Verb 149, AWA 3.5) after I wrote it again; while I had a score of 87 in my TOEFL .
Please, pardon me; an epistle it is!
Congrats

I was wiping down the tops, counters and kitchen stuff, when the dude (who was sweeping) pulled up beside me, he was like "obi, you not from around here, are you?" I replied, "na bro, I'm from Africa" (most people here think Africa is a country, so its easier for me to say Im from Africa to avoid too much talk). Surprisingly, he asked, "what country bro?" I replied "Nigeria".

"You miss home?"

I replied "Yeah man, its a great place with nice weather and lovely people"
@FRANKNETTER don't worry our generation would change the world!

VO: Why are you going to the US?
Me: I'm going for my masters degree in Electrical and electronics engineering at the southern Illinois university in edwardsville, and I chose this school because it's one of the best schools in the Midwestern region of the United States in Electrical Engineering according to usnews.com and forbes.com, and most of the professors in the department are Ivy League trained which is synonymous to having an Ivy League education at a cheaper rate, like professor Tim York of the department who won the 2016 IEEE award of the year for his research paper on "Polarization on image sensoring" and they also have excellent research laboratories and facilities that'll aid in the advancement of my career in this field so that when I come back to the country I can be able to put my skills to work in the power sector of the country as power is one of the major issues we're facing in the country I'd like to come back and contribute my quota to the improvement and development of the sector. (P.S: I said every word)

I don't think you understand why most people on this platform get their VISA, if you did you wont be replying in that manner. I miss TWOODS .. cry cry

Good pm guys. I need advice because my f1 visa interview is coming very soon. I was denied f1 visa august last year for a low ranked community college in washington state. Am very sure my poor profile was d reason. So i took 9month to improving my test scores and my profile. I have been given admission to study geology at central washington university with a scholarship that covers almost 40% of my tuition fee. My question is what re my chances for my visa to be approved this time..
I don't think anybidy can tell if your visa would be approved. But try to read past VISA transcripts and build your confidence from there.
But since you have switched to a university and even got some funding, it shows you stand a better chance. Just convince the VO how you intend to raise the remaining fees and expenses.
Best of Luck

For those looking for very cheap flights. Royal Air Maroc is always the cheapest flight to US from nija. Their fare barely cross 250k, or within that range, but I am sure it's not up to 300k. But be prepared for a stopover at Morocco. You will normally take a small boeing 737 to casablanca and then transfer to a boeing 787(dreamliner) or 777 to US. I can't really tell about their services, haven't flown with them before, but am sure they are putting in their best.

I still love Emirates grin
And air maroc is like 17hours to JFK with stopover. Its shorter than it other Golf competitors and cheaper..

You just gotta keep searching for a cheaper one. All Naija airlines are bleeped up. I got my ticket to this place early this year around 790k for a one way ticket... Although its a nice airline sha..... Other ones i got that were cheap were around 500k and those ones would have stopover and i hate stopover so i decided to go for the expensive one
But I keep seeing 250k to 370k ! Or am I in a dream? cool
Anybody can help confirm what the rates look like?

Thanks for responding, No GRE, NO TOEFL, Not from a reach family but trying to survive. based on work experience that is why am looking at environmental science. pls could you help me with schools that accept lower cgp.
Once I cross I will change career.
If you are not from a RICH family, how do you want to pay for your Fees? If you don't write GRE and TOEFL how do you want to outsmart the Competition for Funding? which is VERY tricky with a 2.2 sef lipsrsealed

Aunty if you want to take a risk without having the right packaging for VISA interview, carry ON! nothing is impossible....
for schools with enviromental you would spend at least a week searching for schools yourself it's the least you can do for your future.
Read this thread backwards and you would see links that has being shared over and over again for schools go state by state (try georgia, mississippi, tennessee, idaho, nebraska,Arkansas,Texas, montana etc). Head to the environmental department and check their entry level requirements.
Send a mail to the department and tell them of your background.
NB: you might be given conditional admission with prerequisites to take.

hello good evening everyone, I am a silent follower, I would like to ask the gurus in the house a question to avoid mistakes in my study application. 1. I read chemistry Education in my undergraduate with 2.6 as in lower 2.2 and am already applying to study a PGD in Environmental science at wesley college Delaware, now my question is, does Americans values PGD? 2. does going to college instead of university mean? also my plans is to change the course as soon as I reach Deleware for a Nursing related course.thanks as I wait to read your responses.
Dear Silent Follower. cool
2.6 Should also give you Msc admission for the same course if you search well or speak to GRAD coordinators of schools that accept 2.6 GPA.

VOs don't like PGD wahala.
And no PGD is not even required for Most job offers.

Universities give you better job prospects at least for an international student. Plus VISA

The only challenge is you getting funding in your i20. But if you can raise at least fees your self then you would have no problem.
Try to give us a clue of your full profile ; GRE,TOEFL etc.

Jumping from chemistry Education to Environmental then Nursing is just pointless.

What do you really Want?!!
An MSC in environmental stuff would pay well too.

Hello electronic.
There's no "slight" error in something discrete like a date of birth: It's either right or wrong. Your use of the passive voice, "was mistakenly written," avoids responsibility for the mistake. Either you entered it incorrectly or the school did. If it's you, I don't know what to tell you. If it's the school, then you owe it to yourself to get the mistake fixed immediately. Errors in critical biographical information can haunt an individual for decades.
Issue Resolved
School Actually made the mistake.
They have rectified it anyway
Thank you.
