The good thing about these "sports franchise" schools is that there are unlimited funding to do research but they are not necessarily known for great educational thrives

so for potential applicants for spring 2018 and onwards, please look for this little "loopholes" so you can get a comfortable ride for grad school because it can be bumpy at times.

Get a new I-20. You'd still need it after getting to the US..even beyond school, for work authorization, other visas, green card application etc. Avoid inconsistencies in your documents, and save yourself some headache later on.

Hey guys what happens when there is a wrong date of birth on i20. Just one digit though 05 instead of 08.
Should a new i20 be requested or a mail from the school would be sufficient?

But was mistakenly written on the i20 form as
05 APRIL 1989

Can an electronic copy effecting the correction? would it be sufficient to go for the interview. Or should a new i20 be sent

Try and contact profs before applying. Search for profs that need Students in thier research team. Confirm from their personal webpages then send a mail. If they schedule a phone Interview, your chances are higher
But note a GRE of 306 is tricky,so gun for TOEFL and publish anything to boost your profile. best of luck
And lastly your school choices were not cool at all....improve on that.

if a graduate applicant using WES evaluation reports want to upload a copy on a University application page.
Are we required to upload university official transcripts again along with the WES Evaluation Report ?

WES !
Most schools are familiar with WES already
So no issues. Plus the fact that WES adds that little boost to your GPA on a 4 point scale.

But contact ur school and let them know you want to use WES.

Course of study in Undergrad school (in one of the Federal Universities in the South-South): Electrical/Electronic Engineering
CGPA: 4.488

GRE score: *In God's able hands*. Lol

Work Expeience: 5year+, in one of the major GSM service provider companies

I could go for in this school. I intend to apply to UT Dallas as well, since they offer Masters in Telecommunications Engineering which I crave for, judging by the hands-on experience I have bagged from my current job already. Computer Science is very cool to me but I have no rudimentary programming skill or knowledge whatsoever.


Any sort of reply is most welcome. Please help a brother's plight...
