I think the oyinbo has said some meaningful things. Yorubas value diplomacy & dialogue, atleast before it gets to fight/war cos they strongly believe life is priceless & only the living can be hopeful of anything(maybe thats why they like turn ups). I think they make an amazing tribe altogether.

I am yoruba and ive bn saying what this guy said, for a long time now. Its the truth. I really hope we would form our own country.

I pray we achieve what we need to stand on our own and leave the extremist igbos & hausas to finish off themselves. When we have more to gain leaving Nigeria than staying, dts when we will leave.

on behalf of every sentient being who love freedom...i hope so too.

The Yoruba's conquered kingdom as far as Ghana, and repelled jihadist from the North. What kingdom did your own tribe conquer?

you repelled which jihadists?? your pple where traditionalists before the Sokoto cliphate started its land-grabbing southwards. Today half your population is muslim.

Infact if not for the coming of d British dat halted Hausa/Fulani expansionism, the entire yorubaland would have been knocking their heads on the ground to d moon god.

Yoruba is capable of winning any war without firing a Shot,During the biafra war,Yoruba actually brought the idea of changing the Nigerian currency and cut food supply to the east which actually lead to the deadly starvation and genocide in south east.THE MAJOR REASON OJUKWU SURRENDERED,We are no coward! we are just more superior mentally to other tribes

where was ur mental superiority when moshood abiola was rotting in jail like a common criminal for more than 5 years??

And before some idiots come to say they are cowards. Remember that before we became one Nigeria, yorubas have fought so many wars within themselves. War is never the answer to any question. Nothing as worthy as dialogue, diplomacy and respect of boundaries.

LMAO...which group in Nigeria has never experienced internal strife. is dat what should serve as a indication of bravery

How you respond in the face of aggression or attacks be it violence or civil disbodience is the criteria. Cowards perpetually hide under d toga of dialogue and diplomacy even when they are redundant.

Define 'cowardice', please.

u need to have a good history of yorubas to understand their cowardice. these same people terrorized smaller and lesser-powerful kingdoms like dahomey bt when they came up against d hausa/fulani - an equal-sized empire - they ran away.

They joined the Nigerian side during the civil war, ONLY when they were convinced Biafra is d weaker side and had little international support.

Dumb muzzies using boko haram to blackmail our common sense.

Its smart policing to ban hijab. If boko haram are pissed they can shift to using another muslim clothing so we can ban it too and further reduce their options.

Btw... "bomb detective gadgets which could detect bombs from afar" WTF

So the op is saying only non igbos contributed to the problems of the east?.Until u all look into the mirror and tell yourselves some 'home truths'.U will continue to walk in the wilderness like the Isrealites during Moses time.

u pple just dont get it. What d Igbos are saying is that they dont control their destiny in Nigeria. Its always int the hands of any group dat controls d center......dats why it looks like they are blaming others. For people who are born free its a very strange situation.

Until reforms in Nigeria starting with decentralization are carried out....Biafrà remains an alternative.

yes, Igbo has benefited and still benefits from Nigerian project. But are we going to deny dat d Igbo spirit and drive for excellence is being inhibitted by Nigeria. The failure of leadership in Igboland can be traced to problems bedeviling Nigeria. Pre-independence time we had a system dat produce leaders accountable to us but now we are beset with a political system (aided by malpractises) dat produces vagabonds like T.A orji and co.

Nigeria has failed to articulate d hopes and dreams of her citizens and since reforms are not forthcoming, only a clean break can bring out d best in Igboland.

Those who fail to see how d nigerian system has failed Igbos will never see any good in Biàfra.
