She is right. I started this journey in September, I tired and tried till November no offer from any school. Then my wife applied, boom under 3weeks we have CAS. But the POF I did I already cancelled it. If not I would have our visa by now and the process would have taken just 4weeks. Na POF wey never mature Dey delay us like this.

Of course, it's not impossible... I will like to know her course though, for that particular school. What is incredible is that she said she never heard about any of this even before November... Hmmm, OK. At least you already know all the required process so it will be easier to guide your wife with her application.

I have been following you for ages and I am really sorry you are being forced to make this decision. This is obviously the work of an envious person and I hope he/she gets their comeuppance. It was really fun while it lasted and I pray for God's blessings for you all the way.

IT’S JOHNNYBRAVO’S PPR!

Congratulations brother. Your PPR was a story I looked forward to everyday on this platform. Even say a prayer from time to time for it to end in praise and it has. Although I wasn't your student officially, I gained from the tips you used to share then on this platform. I remember all the challenges you faced, even when you had to decline an ITA and asked folks to remind to decline the second one in case you don't get your pof sorted out. I am very very happy for you and pray that henceforth may your path be smooth and grace and favour show up for you in your new journey also.

NOC 0122

SETTLEMENT AND RECONCILIATION OFFICER (May 2016 – June 2018)

The rule of thumb is this, the lead statement on your chosen noc, is that what you do? Then the job duties, do u at least see like a 70% percent match. If it does, you can give it a try. Have you also checked out noc 1114? If you are in a lead or managerial post and 0122 matches, then go for it, otherwise reconsider. You can also try to pm Newmum0615 for assistance. She sometimes pops in to check the sister thread and she can be of immense help too.

I think you should check 0122 too

Actually, anybody that is not in a managerial or senior position really needs to steer clear of nocs that start with 0 to avoid stories that touch o.

Where do you work? Go and look at noc 6235 and try to see if your JD matches at least 70% plus the lead statement

Unfortunately Nigeria is still the best market to invest especially in finance, logistics and agriculture. These are the major businesses that can guarantee you over 60% annually which is enough to compensate for inflation, devaluation and still give you some handsome profit. The only downside is risk but as na Naija, we go dey alright.

Here in the UK with BoE interest rate at 0.1% we are looking at negative interest rate next year (possibly) with low interest hovering around 1-3% annually.

Investing in finance is no longer what it used to be. Interest rates in Nigerian banks is now between 0.4 and I%

Yes it does. If you pick the wrong NOC code you could get banned from applying to Canada for 5 years or

Haba. It is refusal for wrong noc code ooo, not ban. Pls do your research, we had so many refusals for this particular issue here on nairaland between part 7 and now.

I am writing the TEF exam tomorrow morning. Franchement, i’m quite frightened as I have only been learning French for only 7 months.

Anyway i’ll be posting the questions passed after the exam.

A question for those who have done the exam in the past please, does the EO test come immediately after the other tests?
all the best!

I did not use 1114 o. Lol. I wasn't able to get my past duties to align with it. I used my current role at the time for 0122. I never was fully aligned with using 1114 on its own for FT roles. Your JD must be tailored to that of the NOC.

How una dey o?

Oh really, I didn't know that. Thanks for clarifying. We are good mama, but we miss you on this thread ooooo

Yes u are right, if u can register with medical lab council in Nigeria that will boost ur chances of getting registered with HCPC. I learnt to register with MLSCN u have to do another 2 years in uni if ur degree wasn’t MLS.

Alternatively, apply for topup modules in the U.K.

Can a biochemistry graduate register for hcpc straight up without additional qualifications?

We have been told here on NL over and over and over again (recently see page 626 & 659 where 2 different people made this point) that it's NOT the job title that needs to match the NOC, but rather the lead statement and duties. It's also clearly stated on the IRCC site. ...notice how they put "lead statement" and "all" essential duties in bold...it's for emphasis.

Looking at old posts, I also notice that in this case, the applicant got suggestions from NL to use 1114.....apparently someone else, an FT staff had used it. Regardless, the onus still lies with us as applicants. Pls see below from NOC guru Newmum0615 on 1114...it applies to NOCs in general.

Good luck to us all!

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers.html#skilled

Mama, I am in no way disputing all you put down here, I just made a response to what you said about someone saying ft title was no longer in noc 1114 example titles.

Almost every banker with ft role that got ppr used 1114 including new mum, the onus lies on the applicant to match his/her JD to the ones on the noc website.

What stands out to me is the 2yrs 10 months that the officer quoted twice. Looking at the CRS calculator, seems he is giving you only 25 points under section C skill transferability factors (2 to 3 years work experience) instead of 50 points for "3 or more years" work experience....which explains why your verified CRS is only 444 compared to 469 that got you the ITA, 25 points are missing.

You already provided pay stubs for 2017, 2018 and 2019 as noted by the officer....so not sure the issue is verifying pay.

You seem to be using a combination of 2 NOCs to get "3 years and above" work experience. However, he didn't say anything about your 1114 JD being a match for the NOC but he confirmed the 6314 JD was fine (JD matches lead statement and duties)..could it be something to do with inconsistent NOC for 1114? I recall someone saying recently that 1114 no longer has FT roles. Maybe check out how 1114 (NOC version 2016) currently compares with the JD you submitted.

In a lighter note, I am almost sure the VO is male. A female VO would have been more explicit in explaining what her review required is about! grin

Ft job titles are actually still there when you open index of titles
